I think you'd have to go to a WW meeting place. Or have someone who goes, get them and mail them to you. I don't know if you can just walk in and buy something - they generally open a half hour before the meeting so that would be when to go in and ask.

If you could do that I would be very grateful and happy to repay you. I don't know anyone IRL who does WW.

We had our big Thanksgiving dinner around 12:30, took a break to clean up the dishes, and then had dessert. Mom had made an apple pie and a pumpkin pie. She had some pumpkin pie filling left over so she made a little bitty pie with it and we taste=tested that after supper last night, lol. I had what was left over of that for breakfast today, so I had apple pie at dessert timje. I thinnk the apple pie was better.

My dinner was yummy..ate about 4:30. Everything was delicious.

After dinner, I got the worst stomach ache. It was up really high and the pains were sharp. Hurt for about 3 hours and all I could do was lay on my stomach and press my arms to it. My mom thought gall bladder but I have no idea. I thought maybe it's because I drank 2 cans of pop which I normally don't drink. Anyway, it sucked.

And I have to go to work tomorrow...eeewwww.

DH started getting the house ready for the new appliances. He sent me texts, some with photos, throughout the afternoon. He moved the washer, dryer and deep freezer out of the laundry room, took a cabinet off the wall in there, and moved the fridge where the deep freezer used to be. s

The message he sent with the pic of the fridge in its new location said, "Well it didn't get thru the door very well. Will need new floor soon "

ACK.

When we talked on teh phone tonight he said he didn't think about using our furniture moving pads () and took a small chunk out of the floor. Ooops.

okeydokes... time for sleep. I want to go get some peanuts tomorrow but doing that depends on how Dad feels. That will likely be the extent of my black friday shopping.

good night hugs... hope those of you going shopping will get the deals you want, and that you stay safe out there.

Okay! They are starting the new program next week, so should have everything in stock.

They used to have a set of the two larger ones in white plastic, and of course I use them at home too, if the other isn't washed yet. But the silver ones are nice enough to put out on the table.

I don't remember how much it was, nothing too outrageous.

LOL Well this is Phantom's first accident. He's had less control over poop for about two years now, we try to get him out before he has to go but use sheets over his bed, so we can change and clean up easily.

I guess I had thought about it getting to this point. And this would be why I haven't yet bothered to fix any of the flooring here.

PH be happy if you can get yours fixed quick. I've been waiting a couple years on some fixes here. But it's for Phantom.

Oh Carol! I get that sometimes. I actually had my gallbladder checked - maybe like ten or so years ago. It was fine. So far it's always turned out to be gas. Heck I remember that happening when I was still working in Atlanta, I was in my mid twenties. I left work early and made a doctor's appt. for later that afternoon, and went to bed. (Got a ride home.) When I woke up, it was gone.

It's kind of embarrassing. I don't think of gas as being that high up!!!

When I had an abdominal CT they found a huge gallstone but I'd never had any problems from it. That wasn't what they were looking for btw!

Anyway, it's still kind of sore feeling. But I drank Alka seltzer and took Gas x and have had nothing from either end so no idea. It was not fun though!

Wow. How long ago was that? Do they ever just dissolve themselves? Or did you take anything?

There's a funny story in DH's family. Short story is, FIL used to have to avoid certain foods, he'd have gallbladder attacks. MIL broiled things etc. for him. Then MIL had one (never did before) and had her gallbladder out. FIL never had another attack once MIL had hers out.

Well ladies, here's the story of the Pumpkin Cheesecake.

I'm going to try to find another recipe for a normal sized dish.

The pan overflowed when I baked it, so it obviously wasn't high enough. I had put a cookie sheet under it, so no big deal. I let it cool, trimmed the overflow, put in fridge as usual.

So tonight we took it out of the dish. Inverted it, and tried to lift the separate bottom, you know, the one I sprayed and put wax paper down and sprayed again?

Yeah, same as in the other pan, the crust didn't stick well. So either I change the crust, or use the other pan since at least it fits, and just accept losing part of it ... I mean, I do scrape it off and sort of put it under the thing. But the other problem is, I don't have anything a good size for storing the darn thing in. You have to keep it in the fridge. So I'm going to shop around for another recipe. *sigh*

I found a recipe on the WW site, so I'll try that next time.

Very similar, 9x13 pan.

My back hurts in weird places.

I know it's just adjusting to the weight losses, but man. It's a pain in the ... back.

So who's out shopping?

It's down to 36 already here (11 a.m. ish) and people are lined up at the local mall waiting for it to open at 3 a.m.

There have been people at the local Best Buy for days already. Crazy.

They say this is the coldest it's been in decades. If this air heads east, you guys, watch out. If it's this cold here, OMG......

Oops, I'm up too late. Going to bed now. Finished washing last pan, the roasting pan. It's a nice non-stick, just big. I guess should look at faucets to handle that when we redo our kitchen, huh?

Oh pretty!

And excellent idea for keeping the serving sizes in hand.

You all would be moderately proud of me I hope... while I definitely enjoyed the wonders of a Thanksgiving dinner at the in-laws (one MIL, two grannies who can definitely cook up a feast) I kept my portions small and had small sliver of cake, large blobble of fruit salad jello for dessert.

Of course given the vast selection of delectable choices, all those small portions still added up to a larger-than-average meal... but when your grannies-in-law are 91 and 85, letting them watch you enjoy an incredible meal is very much worth the calories. FIL tries to get us to eat out so they (and MIL) don't work in the kitchen all day but this year they really wanted to cook for all of us. That meant so much to me.

They say this is the coldest it's been in decades. If this air heads east, you guys, watch out. If it's this cold here, OMG......
Very limited shopping for us. We've agreed with DH's family not to exchange presents this year, just enjoy the time together. We're getting a condo at Myrtle Beach the weekend before Christmas and taking a long weekend then--less driving for DH's Aunt (FIL's sister) who lives in FL. Then up to the mountains for actual Christmas with MIL's side of the family. Up N weekend of MLK birthday for holiday with my family--I hugely appreciate that my folks don't pressure us to travel when fares are highest and crowds are insane.

And I have to go to work tomorrow...eeewwww.
I hope you feel better Carol. Gallbladder or not, that doesn't sound like fun.

Holy cow Wrose I just missed you, LOL... DH and I were up but just being kind of lazy and hanging out. He's left for work and I'll be working a bit today too--though not till this afternoon after I get the house cleaned. Thank goodness I now have dial in and can work from home. Project manager very kindly encouraged me to WFH Weds and make sure everything worked.

I thought it would be a pretty mellow day and I'd get caught up on calculating project statistics but wound up with a couple of minor issues to manage. Fortunately the offshore folks had everything wrapped up by the time I logged on this morning. Yay!

Oh and on the subject of Thanksgiving and gratitude, one of our friends had link to this up on FB this morning:

What a wonderful world indeed...

I don't remember how much it was, nothing too outrageous.
Me too, please - pretty sure there aren't WW meetings out here in the boonies...

That sounds wonderful.

You did something a little different, right?

The main thing WW talked about was not letting the holiDAY turn into a holiWEEKEND or holiMONTH of eating.

Hi ladies.

Drove Tom back to DeKalb this morning, he has his senior thesis that he needs to work on, to graduate. (Finally)

Niece Erika is coming out today. She should be here soon. She has an apartment in the city. About 1 hr 15 minutes, she is way north and I'm far west. We're going to have homemade turkey soup and rolls for lunch, and leftover pumpkin bundt cake. Then we'll see if she wants to go out to the mall or anything. Gasp, I kinda hope not. Hate the crowds.

No pee today, apparently. (DH was up early and went to work, even tho the office is technically closed. But he'd have left me a note, as he'll wipe it up but not wet mop. LOL)

Phantom came up around 8 this morning, I hoisted his butt onto the bed, losing my foot space. Goof. Then when I got up, I got DS to get him off the bed and he just carried the dog all the way downstairs. I love it, Phantom will groan like an old man, but the tail is wagging. hahaha
