I LOVE It!!!!!!! I wish there were a way to do that in my yard. It would probably end up in the backyard and that would defeat the "cute factor"!

Miss I - you are right - you don't stand outside chatting in the wintertime!! PLUS, you did SO MUCH work inside that your mom has nothing else to do but go outside and chat!!! There - did that make you feel good?!!!

I went to the store. I needed my strawberry yogurt.

Mother of the Year Award time: Julie called this morning around 8 (she'd been at school about half an hour by then). She asked if I would bring her a sweatshirt. Did I remember? OF COURSE NOT!!! I hadn't showered, etc. so I didn't want to go right then. And then I promptly forgot. I'll find a way to make it up to her!

But you have a pool.

And most of our things are in the backyard.

Uh oh! That sounds like something I would do, if I had kids.

Maybe she was able to borrow something from a friend.

Actually, she has been cleaning the motorhome today. She even washed the big curtains that cover the entire front of the motorhome and has them hanging on the line!

You won't find much moss growing under either of my folks, that is for sure. Yesterday Dad dug up the sod for his new vegetable garden and today he tilled it. Even though it's more than a month before we'll be able to plant anything.

I noticed a jar of Icy-Hot in the bathroom this morning.

Reading my uncle's obituary is like trying to put together a puzzle. There are 14 kids listed! Biological kids with wife #1; biological kids with wife #2; legally adopted children of wife #2; then stepchildren (we're assuming) of wife #3 and/or wife #4.

They even got all of his brothers and sisters (and all their spouses!) correct, which is nothing to sneeze at considering there are 12 of them.

It's quite a long obituary for a guy like him. Usually the long ones are for people like doctors or other professionals who were involved in a lot of civic activities, belonged to professional organizations, career stuff, etc.

She called at the end of the day to tell me she is staying late for an art project. She said she was fine after third period. It was so much chillier today than the 83 degrees from yesterday!

BenGay is my friend. I prefer Watkin's White Liniment when I can get it.

Headed to take Kason to karate awards. He went up a belt and they are also going to give him his awards from the competition a couple of weeks ago.

I am Grumpy today. Might be Sleepy, Dopey & Sneezy, too. Probably should be Bashful so I don't say something I shouldn't! No real reason for feeling grumpy, though I think my fibro is acting up. Think I'm not sleeping too well. I never feel rested when I wake up which is why I am so tired during the day I guess. Hmmmmm....

At least I know I'm not grumpy at a person, which is a good thing!

Need to wash my dirty hair.

Big hugs!

AND now I have a person at whom to be grumpy. I don't think I posted here but this weekend one of the older ladies at the quilt shop hop asked me if I was having a boy or girl. I had JUST told Kathy a few days earlier that the only nice thing about being fat was that I was fat all over & not just in my belly so no one asked me if I was pregnant. So, I told Phil that just now & he said, "Yeah, but don't the negatives of being heavy outweigh the benefits?" Um, yes. I was saying something lightheartedly & he makes it all about me being fat. UGH! He needs to lose as much as I do! Oh, well. I guess I can be mad at him instead of me now.

Phil hasn't learned anything about women in all these years, has he?

I'll be grumpy with you, Loribelle. I once went to a baby shower and someone else's kids who were also there thought I was the mother-to-be.

Mom and I sure are glad that Mr. Wig went to bed tonight before "Extreme Couponing" came on. Otherwise we fear that he would want to try it for himself, and then we'd have to find some place to store 42 bottles of mustard and 100 rolls of paper towels.

Does this seem like it is going to be a useful program?

I saw the previews but forgot what time and which channel it was coming on.

It was on TLC. As for being useful? I suppose it will show people how it's done, in case they want to try it themselves. I have mixed feelings about it. While I applaud these people for saving big bucks, I think that stores will start to change their policies so has not to lose money. For example, they may stop doubling coupons and that will hurt the average buyer who can benefit from the savings. Some of the women featured on the show seemed more than just a little OCD and end up looking like hoarders--toilet paper stuffed under all of the kids' beds, shelving units in the master bedroom filled with supplies, and one lady even had a huge display unit for all of her canned goods that rotated them by expiration date--similar to what the stores use for soup!

The one family had 7 kids, so they have to buy a lot just to feed their "litter" on a daily basis (that is what the woman called her family!). But in some cases, it really seemed excessive. One lady was clearing the shelves of the mustard, buying something like 43 bottles, and her husband reminded her he doesn't even eat it.

I saved about $48.00(I think,I forgot exactly)one time and $25.00 last week but it was just coupons for what I use.

I did buy 3 cans of Manwick because I got free buns and Poppa does eat it and he freezes the buns in packages of 2.

I also bought a frozen dinner meal because it came with something free....LOL. Poppa ate on it for 2 nights(he never minds leftovers)so even though it was something I would not normally buy it worked out.

I bought 4 cans of something kason eats because it can with a free one. It will get eaten.

I also did the buy 10 "mix-and-match" items and get $5.00 off one time.

I don't ever see me planning my menu around coupons so I will never be a BIG saver.

Since I have several stores close I have started watching all the sales. I can pass all of them without making a special out of the way trip.

Several of the buy 1 get 1 free things I will make sure and look at but if it is something I would not normally eat I will not buy it.

One of my daycare mothers saves BIG but she only cooks/eats what she has a coupon for most of the time.

I also think the stores will crack down on coupons after awhile.

I don't see how they cannot.

I raised my monitor up a little(nothing "fancy" like MISS I,just a book) but I am so used to looking down at it....LOL....I am not sure if I will leave it raised or not.

I will give it a few days. Probably just my neck and back not used to sitting up straighter.

I have a fancy computer monitor riser??

I had to change mine around when I got the new monitor, but Mom says it is too high for her. So I removed one of the gun butts and now it's too low for me. Just can't win.

What show was this? Extreme couponing? Those folks seem like hoarders to me.

Those are the kinds of things these people were doing, but in the extreme. For example, one gal bought 56 yogurts. One lady actually has an agreement with her local newspaper and gets the extra coupon circulars dropped off at her house--a pile more than a foot high. She had a big guillotine-style paper cutter to cut them.

We couldn't do it in our town, because the stores here don't double coupons, don't have those preferred customer cards, etc. We certainly use coupons and my dad is big on getting free stuff, but he gets better bargains in Arizona.

Yes. On both counts! Keep reading, Loribelle!

Me, too! Sometimes I'm so tired I don't want to take a shower, but when I do, I feel SO much better. You know, gotta do it at least once a week. LOL!

Good mor...er, afternoon!

I came thisclose to calling in sick this morning, but just couldn't bring myself to do it. I just really need a day away from this place, and I have a zillion little things to get done around the house that I never seem to have time for.

I'll have to remember to set my DVR to record the couponing show. I want to see it, but I never remember to check to see when it's on!

Afternoon. I'm freezing. It isn't that cold out, but it is rainy, dreary, raw and I'm cold. I need to find a sweater.

Had breakfast with a friend this morning. She has been off work due to surgery. She goes back next week.
