Well I got the garbage, recycling, and yard cart (full of leaves) out for pickup tomorrow. I also raked the leaves in the front yard into a windrow along the curb for pickup tomorrow.

Now I need to make a couple of birthday cards that MUST go into the mail tomorrow.

We accomplished a lot today. All of Julie's stuff is FINALLY out of the dining room. We have another HUGE bag of trash, more stuff for Good Will, a few dresses (from when she was little - awwww) that are in the attic and one in left that she has to decide if we are storing it in her closet, the basement or the attic. It is some of her American Girl stuff. We don't have it all together yet, so it is still in her room. Now if I can get her to vacuum tomorrow, we're in good shape!

Tomorrow I'm going to try and spend time in the kitchen. I want to make a batch of cookies. And Marie loves an almond bread from Tastefully Simply. The problem is, I like the Almond Bread, too! I also hope to spend some time in my craft room!

MORNING!

It is a beautifully sunny day here. By Thurs/Fri we can get temps close to 60. I prefer it a little cooler for Thanksgiving since the oven is going all day, but I'm not going to complain this time!

I believe I will stamp today! It sounds very appealing!

giggle...

My parents crack me up sometimes. I was in the middle of writing my mom an email when the phone rang. It was Dad, wanting the phone number for a truck tire place here in town. (They normally keep one of our local phone books in the motorhome, but he couldn't find it.) He noticed that one of the motorhome tires has a crack in it, so he'll probably just get all of them replaced. He wanted to call the local place he trusts to get an idea of prices.

Then he tells me, "It's a beautiful day here. Sunny and supposed to get 80 degrees. We're going to the pool later. Your ma's inside shaving her legs so I'm outside, staying out of her way."

LOL.

How much room does she need to shave her legs?

I was stalking the mailman today because I was expecting a package from Dick Blick. But it didn't come. Now the tracking information says it is expected to be delivered tomorrow. Nerts!

That was a nice thing for him to say! I bet it is pretty. I haven't read back to see if you've posted pics. I'd come decorate with you if I could! I love Christmas decorations!

Miss I - I think the tree looks great just the way it is as well. We have so many ornaments though that we have to decorate (according to my family).

As you said, Bill is good to us girls. Often too good. He really does spoil all of us and I don't think any man will be able to do as much for M&J. At least not in the early part of any relationship. I think both girls expect way too much.

I ended up with a sore neck and headache yesterday so I didn't get any time in my stamp room. Boo. I'm heading in there after I have a quick snack (yogurt). By the way, I've lost 40 lbs but I am stuck there. And the next few weeks aren't going to be easy. I had wanted to lose another 10 lbs by the end of the year. I'm thinking, I should probably revise that to only 5. And I'll be lucky if that happens.

WOO HOO!! That's really awesome, Jo Jo! If you can just maintain that through the holidays, you're still making progress.

I don't have a ton of ornaments but they're almost all ones that I've bought myself--mostly in the 90s when I was decorating more and had a Christmas party every year. You won't be surprised to learn that a lot of the ornaments have a vintage look to them. LOL I have a lot of vintage Santa items.

I'm thinking I'll decorate the tree on Thursday since I'll be home all day. I spent a little bit of time last night fluffing out the tree some more, getting some holes filled in and some of the lights slightly rearranged so they're more evenly spaced.

But right now I have *TONS* of files to do so I better skeddadle!

Thanks for the support. I still have so much more to lose. I'm only about a third of the way there. I'm just a bit frustated since I've not been doing as well. I haven't been following the plan to the letter like I should and I haven't been moving (exercise) like I need to. I really do need to look into some chair exercises to do when my back is bothering me.

<--- TARRED!

I'm closing up shop. I'm just waiting for the dryer to be done and then I'm putting fresh sheets on the bed and putting a call in to the Sand Man. Nighty night!

Fresh sheets just before bed is heavenly! Hope you sleep well.

I'm heading to bed soon, too. I was so tired today and couldn't stamp like I wanted. Tomorrow I want to do some cooking for our dinner Thursday. I will make the stuffing, cook the sweet potatoes, bake the pie and make the cranberry sauce. We had fresh cranberry sauce last year at my SIL's. Her husband does the cooking. He added Grand Marnier and it was amazing. So I plan to make my own and try a recipe I found. Unfortunately, I need a trip to the store, too. I need milk, carrots, and a few other things. I should have gone today.

Jo Jo 40 lbs. is GREAT! I am so proud of you! Even with Nutrisystem, with all the other foods around you for the family, you have to have the will power not to eat that. I'm really impressed that you're doing so great!

Today we made pie fillings for pumpkin & apple pies. In the morning we'll bake the pies. I have to make some GF pie crust first. Nat will make some with gluten pie crust, then I'll make 2 gf ones. Also need to make some green bean casserole with gf mushroom soup & onions. Tried doing cranberry sauce in the oven that I saw on pinterest. I burned it. Gross!

Talk to you gals later today, I hope!

Morning. Beautiful, sunny day! I love it.

I'm roasting sweet potatoes. Trying a new recipe for a casserole. BIL made a delicious one last year. I'm hoping mine turns out as good! I'm also baking an apple/walnut pie. Will put the stuffing together and make the cranberry sauce. Everything else can be done tomorrow. It is only the four of us, so I'm trying to keep portions to the normal range and not cook for a crowd!

Up until recently, I've been fine sticking with only the Nutrisystem foods and fresh veggie add -ons. However, the last two weeks have been awful and I don't see that changing through Christmas. I'm just a bit discouraged that I'm not doin as well. And I know it is my own fault. It isn't that the program isn't working, I'm just not following it.

I'll stop complaining tho!

Bill said he would go to the store for me. I avoid it the day before Thanksgiving. He doesn't care. I just nee weird things like milk, carrots (for snacking, not for cooking!) and a few other minor things. He'll want to get cider for a treat, too.

I need a few "normal" things from the grocery store, too, and am debating on whether to go today/tonight or whether I can wait until the weekend. I have to go out at 6:00 tonight to meet the Scentsy gal--I finally bought a Scentsy burner and it's come in. Since I'll be out, I'm trying to decide whether there's any other place I want to go. I may take myself out to dinner and call that my Thanksgiving.

OMG--my computer is moving soooooo sloooooooooow today.

Must be because all the kids are home from school, streaming videos and downloading music. LOL

And I have soooooo muuuuuuuuch work to do. My law school queue jumped from 32 last night to 48 today. Guess what I'll be doing on Thanksgiving?

Holy cow! That is a lot of files, Miss I. What a bummer!

I made the sweet potato casserole so that is ready to be baked tomorrow. Baked the apple pie, made the cranberry sauce. I might put the stuffing together but that is really all the stuff I need to do. All the veggies for tomorrow are pretty easy, just heat and eat. I'm doing broccoli, carrots (honey glazed from Green Giant) and corn for Julie. I might make my spinach casserole that I love. But that is easy. It could wait, too. I have enough food for tomorrow. It's just the four of us so no reason to overdo it.

This is the peak season for law apps and thanks to some idiot at the processing center, who THREW AWAY all of the express mail received on a Monday a couple of weeks ago, we have extra steps we have to take on a growing number of "rush" files. The list was at 54 yesterday; we received a new list today that I haven't bothered to look at yet. On top of that, I don't know how many of those files are mine because supposedly they have no clear way to tell us that. They just keep sending an updated list of names and file numbers and each evaluator has to dig out his/her own files. *HUGE* PITA.
