11:15: Second call of the day. I almost didn't answer it, but it's a good thing I did because it was Mrs. Wig. lol

Halloween pictures may be coming my way later today.

Yippee! I got myself a date to go see Meet Me in St. Louis at our community theatre. (Don't get too excited, it's my friend Marylee. But she offered to buy me dinner afterward. lol)

12:15: 3rd call of the day. A live person for once! But it wasn't a political call; it was a "household" survey. The first question was about recycling.

I was right in the middle of something AND the line had terrible feedback. I haven't heard feedback like that since I had foreign students calling from Timbuktu. And supposedly this person was calling from within town!

So I said no thanks.

1:33 4th call of the day = 2nd political call of the day. Robo call from incumbent congressional candidate. ATTENTION WOMEN OF IOWA.

You know how some weeks, the phone doesn't ring for days and days? (Well, for me that happens.)

I am ready for one of those weeks!

2:10: 5th phone call of the day. (Are you all enjoying this new game? )

I was upstairs having lunch, so I screened the call (the answering machine is on the phone in the kitchen).

It was my mother (again). LOL. She can't download the Halloween photos because she didn't take the camera cord with her. She didn't think she'd need it. She's taken it every other year.

So she wants me to mail it to her "the next time I have something to send." In the meantime her friends might have some photos on their camera they can email me, or they heard there may be some photos taken by the park posted somewhere on Facebook.

I heard a lot of giggling in the background so who knows what was going on down there.

After 2 calls yesterday, while I was trying to take a nap, I took the phone off the hook. I hate to do that, in case the folks need to reach me for some urgent reason, but the number of calls has been ridiculous.

She can be.

I am SO tired. I hope I can stay awake long enough to watch Dancing, but it's going to be hard. I'm signing off here now and not doing any more files, because I don't want to make any mistakes.

I may not be back. Everyone have a good night.

Hope you get a good night's sleep, Miss I.

Granny - Bill is like that, too. He hates being a passenger. Except if he is exhausted and needs a nap!

Morning! I stopped to vote on my way home from dropping Julie off. There were five of us there and more people coming in. One of the officials said it was busy early when they opened. I think Bill planned to vote on his way to work, but I didn't notice if he had signed the book! We voted with good 'ole pen and paper today!

It is COLD here this morning! At 5 am when I let the dog out it was only 22 degrees. Just at 32 when I took Julie around 9. YIKES!

We had a thunderstorm come through during the night and now it is rainy and in the mid 40's.

No school today but they have an appointment at 3:30 for Flu Mist.

Morning! Turkey and cold weather sound nice! Hope voting is easy if you weren't able to vote early. The lines for early voting were so long last week. I can only imagine today's lines.

We're reading Frankenstein for Lit right now. If only Mary Shelley had written in English. That's a little humor. She wrote in English but it was over 200 years ago. I keep having to look up words and translate as we read.

Need to get to work . TTYL!

It wasn't that great here, but not damp or rainy. VERY dry. I had to start using saline spray to keep my nose moisturized!

I'm putting the election behind me but also avoiding the news, political pundits, most Yahoo articles, etc., etc. I'm doing something today that makes me happy - STAMPING! Or something along those lines. Will be in my craft room most of the day.

Also, waiting on more bad weather. Boo! Hiss!!! We could get some snow. NOT happy about that. Not at all. I saw on a cousin's facebook page that an area of NJ is being forced to evacuate again. That is so awful for them. This is so crappy!

Hate that more bad weather is headed in Ryder.

I am also putting the election behind me. No reason to let it put me in a bad mood or spoil the day. There are things the Democrats believe in that I also believe in and I will focus on that and move ahead.

I just cannot get in gear to do anything today. We went to Home Depot but that is about all.

I have to go get both kids and then take Kamryn to the gym by 5:00.

I have a house to clean tomorrow and Friday. The extra $$ is nice but sometimes I am in a mood and wish I did not have to do them.

I am cookng my birthday dinner on Sunday. Not sure who is coming. I am okay with a little or a lot. A little means more leftovers.

I, too, am trying to put the election behind me, but around here it's pretty hard to do. National politics aside, Californian's are now screwed. Propositions passed that will increase taxes across the board (local sales tax for me will now be almost 10%), tax out-of-state businesses that do any business at all in CA as if they were based here (meaning many will choose not to do business here period), along with some other boneheaded stuff. The tax increase is supposed to go to schools, but buried in the legalese it basically says that it can be diverted elsewhere "if there is a need"

I can't freaking wait to get the heck out of this state once Becky is out of school (hopefully even sooner). ARGHHHHHHHH!!

And, that is the end of my political ranting!!

Sorry, but I had to get that off my chest! I refuse to post anything like that on FB, because I have no interest in starting an argument or debate, or even an ongoing ***** session.

Now back to your regularly scheduled thread

Hi. Back from the grocery store and a full gas tank. Gas was down to $3.59. It was raining, possibly sleeting when I was out, but it seems to have stopped. However, Philly has quite a little blizzard going. At least according to what I'm seeing on the news!

I did not get to spend as much time in my craft room as I wanted, but I might head back there after I get dinner in the oven.

I'm hoping to one day see gas prices that low again. I can go onto the balcony at work, and see three refineries, yet gas around here is still hovering just under $4. Go figure.

Probably to the south, somewhere. It will depend on several factors at the time we move, though. Although our current thought is simply almost anywhere outside of CA. Nevada is also a possibility.

HI Miss I - was wondering where you were today?

I've got dinner cooking for the girls. I have to figure out what I want to eat. I think I am having some of the zucchini I bought today tho. They didn't have much that looked good, but I found one. I love zucchini.

Kristi - did you and your hubby both grow up in CA? One of my friends was hoping to move to CO last year. However, they needed to put it off. Now she is saying that they will probably have to stay in CA due to her health. I'm not sure why that would be, but she is disappointed. They bought property and everything. Now it is up for sale in CO.

I would rather cook that go to someone's house. I REALLY enjoy it and we do it so seldom now.

Plus,I will not be home Thanksgiving.

Now it is up for sale in CO.
Yep, we grew up less than 5 miles from where we are now, and three blocks from each other. He's stayed in this area his entire life, but I've moved away a couple of times.

I can't imagine how disappointing that must be for your friend. To get as far as buying property, then having to stay put after all would just stink.

Granny - I like to cook, too. I haven't been as much lately because I'm doing Nutrisystem. Bill and the girls have been cooking their own meals. I miss cooking. I am going to have a regular Thanksgiving, will cook it and eat it.

We thought about going to my parents' but they are going to have a lot of people already. My cousin, my bro and their families. Bro and cousin are doing the cooking. However, mom's house is small and with the four of us (and adults, not two small kids anymore) and the dogs. It would be too much. I will invite everyone here next year, though!
