My shoes arrived from Zappos but I think I'll have to send them back, or maybe try exchanging them for a wide or a 1/2 size larger. Based on a rereading of the reviews, maybe I should have ordered the wide in the first place. But typically I don't need a wide, and I especially don't want a dress pump to be sloppy. You don't really know until you try them on.
I just need to hire myself a personal shoemaker. lol
Did you check 6pm deals yet? They have cute black shoes and not crazy expensive.
Two of my dad's uncles had shoe stores. Taylor made shoe stores. I always had "special" feet (LOL) and they used to make my shoes. I remember getting measured for my shoes, length, width, height (for my instep and arch), heel, etc.
They were the best shoes ever. They had clients coming from many places around the world.

Are they still open?
The wife on Little Couple (TLC) had a custom made pair of shoes made by someone in New York City, I think. She needed some dress shoes for a special event. She's 3'2" tall and I don't know what size her foot is, but you don't see too many dress pumps on kindergarteners so you know she ain't buying them off the rack. LOL

Love love love tonight's winning dress!
Usually it's the kiss of death if I say, "That's something even I could wear," but not tonight. It's too bad the winner didn't get more for her effort, such as a feature in the magazine or selling the dress online.
I think they should have sent home BOTH of the bottom two. Both of their outfits were absolutely hideous. But since they had already lost two designers... I can't believe these people who give up so easily. Why even try out for the show if you're not willing to stick with it? (Not that I think we'll really miss the ones who left.)

Sadly, no they are not open anymore
But my mom has found someone to make shoes for her. My mom's size is between 3 and 3½ (maybe 4 in a good day )

My friend wears a kid's size 3. She has a hard time finding adult looking shoes.

It is not easy to find things that fit if you're on either end of the spectrum.
I know not many people have sympathy for my friend Peggy, who is 5'4" and wears the equivalent of a size 0. But she has problems finding clothes that fit properly just as I do (just that she's at the bottom of the scale instead of the top ).

I liked all 3 top dresses. I have to say: Christopher's dress/look was the one I liked a bit more.
Kooan at least had the decency to quit in person and give his reasons. Andrea was lame to just leave, no note, nothing.
I certainly would never hire her if I was in fashion and she came to my door. But both of them are IDIOTS ( there I said it ) blowing this chance like that when thousands of aspiring designers will give and arm and a leg for their place.
I was disappointed to see "greasy ball" come back. They could have brought back Beatrice (girl that was Auf'ed first) or Lantie also.

I'm calling him Squiggy. From Laverne and Shirley. Have you ever seen the show?

P.S. My mom's comment about the contestants was, "Aren't there any NORMAL looking people on this show?" lol
And yes, I liked Christopher's outfit, too. The little leather jacket was hot and made so well.
Afternoon - I'm grumpy and I haven't even been outside in the heat/humidity. I really dislike packing. But my part is done - except for the food we'll pack in the coolers tomorrow. The girls haven't even started. I'm not saying a word. But it bugs the heck out of me!

It's probably hard to hold your tongue, but I think you shouldn't have to say anything. They're old enough to pack their own stuff, and how many years have you been doing this? They know the drill.
And since going naked isn't an option, they'll pack. Eventually.
Oh they will pack, but they wait until the last minute. I would like it done earlier.
Moms always feel that way.
Just be sure they know what time Dad's foot is hitting the gas pedal...whether they are ready to go or not. No exceptions. That was the rule at our house. LOL
You all know how I am about packing but my rule with the girls(when they were old enough)was....
Be packed by the night before and I WILL help you look for something. I will even do laundry but wait until the last minute and don't open your mouth because you are going to go without.

We have found a few size 0's that are too small for Bethany, but mostly she's a 0/1. She used to be a 00, if such a thing existed.
I'm a size 2, usually. 2x that is.
I have skis for feet---9.5-10, but thin. Natalie has what one friend calls "fairy feet." She's probably 5'1" or 5'2" now & her feet are about a size 3-4. SOME women's 5 fit her. WE've been told a 3 is girls is the same as 5 in women's but it's not always so. Phil has about the same size foot as I do, so small for a man. One of my short friends (barely 5' tall) has a size 8 foot. Isn't that odd how these things work?
Flat BElly Diet got waylaid today when my darling child made gluten free chocolate chip marshmallow walnut (aka Rocky Road) cookies. They taste SO good & are SO bad for me! I did well on my meals, at least. And since I slept til after noon b/c of meds I took, I didn't eat a lot of calories. Just the KIND of food I ate was bad! Tomorrow is a new day.
I think Ryan is bringing me the laptop today that he "built" me from several he has at home.
I really need to give this one back to Kamryn. She has not asked for it and says she does not care but I have had it for awhile now.
I think the one he is bringing is smaller than this one but anything is better than nothing. At least until I decide if I want to spend the money on a new one.

I wasn't that little at birth. 8 and a half pounds or something. I'll settle for getting down to 190, then 180, and eventually 150! NOT my pre-fat weight of 125. Then I'd be gaunt!
When I was a child we lived near a dump...I road my bike to it with friends and we looked at the stuff. The person who supervised the dump was unfortunately named... last name...Outhouse. I always felt badly for them.
[QUOTE=Chef Mama;19612892]Granny, wish you were close enough & Phil could build you a computer. I'm glad you have some form of connection b/c we miss you when you're gone![
This one is fine for now. A good bit smaller than Kamryn's but hopefully I can get used to it.
It is older too,so seems to be a tad slower.
I think I can put up with it vs putting the money out for a new onw.
