Yeah, I'm not convinced we're going to make it. That's the service we wanted to go to last weekend, but we didn't wake up until five minute before it started, and the church is a good 15 minutes away.

*coming out for air*

I have been super duper busy lately. School stuff, work, home, etc. Plus I have been immersed in some reading. The Girl with the Dragon tattoo trilogy and the Hunger Games Trilogy... OMGosh so good

Hi Jo, I'm alive and almost well. I have a residual cough from my last cold but not too big of a bother.

How are you? Congrats on the buy of the RV. It looks awesome!

Miss I - I'm still seriously considering getting that shirt . . .
The only way I could make it to a 6:30 service, is if I were still awake from the night before.

Well the shirt was delivered, TO MY P.O. BOX! Grrrrr. I was afraid that would happen, because the store placed the order and my shipping address (home) got combined with my billing address (P.O. box). I didn't discover this until I got my order confirmation email and by then it was too late to make a correction. I'll have to go to the P.O. tomorrow when the window is open to get the package.

Eh, we're fine! I'm just scared of quakes, that's all. There is a major fault that goes through my area, and for the last 15 years all the "experts" have been saying that this is the fault most likely to be responsible for "the big one". And whenever there is a noticeable quake, the local news outlets talk nonstop about "is this a precursor to the big one????".

Ugh.

I would be frustrated, too, Miss I. Bummer!!!!

Kristi - when Bill and I lived in CA (84-88 ) we lived close to the San Bernardino fault line. They kept saying the same things when we lived there. The media really does scare people. It is crazy and very annoying.

Hey Jo Jo. I just sent you an email. CJ Banks is having a special sale next Tuesday and Wednesday: 40% off entire purchase. But that's in-store only, not online. Do you have a store close to you?

Well, the dress shopping didn't happen. Her friend is sick, and her allergies are bugging her, and she's really tired, so we'll go another day. Instead, I helped Hubby change the oil in his truck, and now we are headed to his mom's to help her out with some things. Oh joy

Is everyone setting their clocks ahead tonight before they go to bed? I've done the easy ones (the ones that don't require any tools). The computer will take care of itself, as will the VCR I think. At least I hope so--I've been taping the Mad Men reruns that start at 5:00 a.m. Sunday morning, and I don't want to miss any because we're just 2 weeks away from the new season.

Yes, I'm a dinosaur; I still use a VCR. Actually, I just learned to use it last fall. lol

Morning.

My phone did not change time this morning. Glad I was not depending on the alarm.

I have two clocks that need new batteries. I just don't know that we have the right size. I have to search.

It is an absolutely gorgeous day here today. And is supposed to be nice all week. I'm so happy.

I was surprised at how many people were at church this morning. We usually end up with low numbers on Daylight Savings Sunday! I had a decent group of kids though. At least according to our current numbers.

Don't forget the batteries in your smoke/fire alarms.

Oh my. It is 1pm. I slept until 12 noon, which would have been 11 am. I think because I have spent most of the week coughing, and finally got caught up.

That first blood pressure med I took causes "a cough" in some ppl. Well did it ever in me! I rue the day I even started that dastardly drug.

Half the day is gone! It is warm here too...60's. DD is home though and she is still sleeping, so it is a sweet quiet kind of day....

Let's hope I can get the grocery shopping done by 4....at this rate I may not!

Aloha!

Didn't make it to the 6:30 or the 8am service! I didn't fall asleep until close to 2am (pre-time change). So we went at 9:30 instead! And then went for coffee, the farmers market, and drug store. And now we're home, where I've loaded and started the dishwasher, put all the produce away, made a pitcher of iced tea, and started the crock pot for dinner. Is it naptime yet??

Kristi - what's cooking in the crockpot?

I've had a busy day and am operating on very little sleep, so I don't know how much longer I'll be upright. I fixed myself waffles for breakfast and watched Mad Men. I took a bath and read the paper. Then I hit the road and went to Walmart, Menards, Staples, Barnes and Noble, and Michaels. On the way home I stopped at Culver's for a cod dinner. (Hedgie and Caro will know Culver's; it's a Wisconsin-based place.)

I finally had to break down and put gas in the car today: $3.61/gallon (for the cheap stuff; ethanol blend).

As I was leaving Barnes and Noble, I saw something we don't see very often in town: a wild turkey! It was trying to cross one of the busiest roads in town, right in the middle of the intersection between Biaggi's and the entrance to a busy strip mall. Maybe she couldn't get a table at Biaggi's, and was going to Olive Garden instead. LOL I think the turkey knew it wasn't where it was supposed to be, because it was being very cautious. And it was tying up traffic. I'm glad I was going in the opposite direction.

Those turkeys are huge. It looked like an emu almost.

I was thinking about you this morning, since I was up so early. If I had had your number, I could have been your wake-up call and you would have made it to the 6:30 service.

Hi Jo Jo! We had a nice day here, too. It's supposed to be in the 70s mid-week. I bet the daffodils pop open. The small crocuses are already blooming.

Chicken, for tortilla soup. Kaiti's boyfriend is coming over for dinner, so I tripled the amount I usually make to accommodate two teenage boys and one 40-something Hubby

Miss I - you did have a busy day! You got a lot more accomplished than I did. Julie is off this week so she and I may do some running. I like to have someone to go with me! I want to get a new dress. For the cruise, but also just to have. I don't wear many dresses because I what I do with the kids at church. But then, when I want something I don't have it. I have a black dress with a pretty turquoise jacket. I'd like to get another top to wear with that, but also a spring dress with some brighter colors. I do have one nice dark turquoise that gets me lots of compliments, but I want something pink or coral. I've seen a few, just need to find something in my size

Kristi - smart thinking making extra. The soup sounds good!

Did you give your bones a rest this weekend, Granny?

Kinda....

Saturday

Ballpark at 8:15
Opening Ceremonies
Ace Hardware(just wasting time)
Gun Range(to get the name of a gunsmith)
Lunch

Back to ballpark for 12:30 game
Nothing constructive the rest of the day
Made tacos for supper
Kason spent the night

Sunday

Went to pick up Murphy to let him try out the yard.

Took him home later in the day.

Had to go back so I could get Kason fed, bathed and ready for bed but I was not comfortable with trying to drive with just Kason in the car with me so Poppa rode with us.

Did not get home until 10:30.

This morning

Picked Kason up at the dentist and took him to school.
Went to the bank

SLOW....LOL....weekend for me.
