Had a house to clean today. Then after I picked the kids up from school I took them to Lisa at work because Kason lost a filling.

Now I am headed to meet a guy at a Geocache to show me how to put coordinates in my phone or if I need to buy a hand held GPS.

YES! I am meeting a strange man in the woods....LOL

I wish I could have you clean my house. It really is an embarrassment right now. Who am I kidding, it is USUALLY an embarrassment!

Hope you won't need a GPS. How old is your phone? I thought most of the newer ones (within the last few years) had that built in.

Aloha!

Watching the A's game - not too happy right now. I'm still heartbroken about the Braves being eliminated, now it looks like the A's are going to meet the same fate

I don't know, Granny, but it stinks. Sometimes I think it's easier to take when they don't make the postseason at all.

Don't slap me but we aren't big baseball fans in our house. Growing up I watched it b/c my dad & bros were all sports fans of most types. Phil watches motorcycle races & Texas A&M football. And lots of military & history channel! LOL! My MIL & her hubby are Texas Rangers fans.

Well, we've been looking at houses every night this week. My poor realtor friend! We think we have it narrowed down to 2. They are both older, but on the upper end of what we wanted to spend. It's just the way they are laid out is good for us. Either way I won't have an entire room just for sewing, but I'll have a space for it & will have to keep things stored elsewhere, which is fine. I think half of what's in the garage now is trash.

Since we had the bankruptcy, we can't prequalify & we can't get a conventional loan, even though MIL is willing to help us do that. We can get FHA, so we'll do that then refinance when we can.

We have to be out of here by the 5th of Nov. I want the move out date to be 10/31 or 11/1 so we can have a few days to make sure we have every little thing out. We'll have to put most our stuff into storage. Dad used to manage a moving company & will take care of that for us with his old company.

I have a PC show tonight & we are going over to see my family this afternoon. Niece & her family are in town at my parents' house so we'll visit with them then go to the show no far from my parents' house.

I like keeping this thread here b/c sometimes I just want to be with my honies! Like my spelling?

Here are the 2 houses we're narrowed down to:
13407 Pebble Circle, San Antonio TX - Trulia

15010 Spring Star Street, San Antonio TX - Trulia

I'm sweating already today. I need to shower again before we go to mom's. I'll wear shorts & take my nicer stuff to change into for the show.

Hugs dearies!

Lori - I love the kitchen and the back deck in the second house!!! They both look nice though. We wore our realtor out when we were looking, too. Of course, you are in a much tighter time frame than we were.

<--- Currently bidding on a Miche bag shell on Ebay. 16 minutes to go and I'm the high bidder so far, but I wouldn't be surprised if it goes up.

After the auction is done I'm zipping up to the grocery store for a few items that are on sale but ending today. And I might get my supper up there, too.

Beautiful fall day here. I need to rake leaves. It's like Mr. Wig left and then they all decided to fall down. LOL

Speaking of the Wigs, they should be pulling into the RV park soon, if they're not there already. It's only 1:00 out there and they had 300 miles to drive today to get there. They had pretty good weather the entire way, except for some strong wind and a little rain yesterday in New Mexico. Mom called me in the afternoon to get online to find out what they were heading into, because she couldn't get anything on the weather radio. There was a wind warning in effect, and then I saw last night that a train derailed in the area they were driving. Apparently it had a bunch of empty cars and they got pushed off/over the rails by the wind. I have to remember to tell the folks about that, in case they didn't see it themselves.

Loribelle: If you get the 2nd house, you have to PROMISE ME that you'll switch the refrigerator door so that it opens the correct way.

Okey doke. It may not be until later.

Taking bets on whether they go out to dinner with some of their buddies who are already there.

I bet YES, and I bet they go to Golden Corral (since Mr. Wig didn't get his buffet at the casino in New Mexico yesterday). ba ahahahhaha!

I won the purse (well, the outer decorative shell only). Now I need to get the base to hold it up. LOL. There are some for sale on Ebay, but I may just buy one from my local consultant since I definitely want a new one, and the prices on Ebay aren't any great savings.

Evening. I am officially tired of the rain. The dogs can't get much exercise out there when the rain is POURING. Bill just took Marie's big dog for a walk in it. He is way too nice to all of us. They are actually getting ready to go to another training session at PetsMart but figured he'd be better with a release of some energy first.

Went to the doctor this morning. She didn't hear any wheezing but she was kind enough to write a prescription in case I need it over the weekend. I'm actually feeling a little better this afternoon. It may be a virus or still allergy related. She also gave me a nasal spray to use with the allergy meds. So, we shall see. This is the newest doctor in the practice (there are now 3 when only 18 mos ago it was just my favorite). I like this one, too!

Hey JoJo! Glad to hear that you don't have something like bronchitis or pneumonia, but sorry that the allergies are still bothering you. People here who suffer are waiting on the first hard freeze to kill off everything. It's late in coming this year.

We'd take some of your rain if that were possible.

My friend Beverly has written several books. Her latest is a Study Guide for the Women's Conference she is leading at her Church tomorrow. I am excited for her and plan on attending. I think it is a stand alone book but it is part of the Conference package.

Hola meine friends! More home buying drama, but too much to put here now. We could end up renting when it's all said & done.

Need to run to Walmart. On a Saturday afternoon that should be LOTS of fun. ha, ha!

TTFN!

Hoping for a relaxing Saturday evening. It's been a busy and utterly nutty week, and I don't think it's going to be getting better any time soon.

ALL of that for just $9? What a deal!

Right now the pumpkins are running about $3-4 each (at the grocery stores). They're a bit more at the orchards or specialty shops. I'm thinking about getting a couple for our front step, but will wait a few more days when the temps are supposed to be cooler.

The folks reached their winter home Friday afternoon and got partly settled in before heading up to the pool to see their friends and for free music (not to swim). The park often has these afternoon happy hour type things around the pool. Sometimes they involve food and drink, sometimes just free music and BYOB. It's a very pleasant way to spend a couple of hours, if the music is good. LOL

Well phooey! But better to rent a while more than to be rushed into such a big decision.

How was Wally World? I've been going on Tuesday nights after watercolor class, when it's not as crowded but still a pretty busy place. I know it shouldn't surprise me anymore, but the number of people who are out with little kids at that time of night is still unbelievable at times.

Right now the pumpkins are running about $3-4 each (at the grocery stores). They're a bit more at the orchards or specialty shops. I'm thinking about getting a couple for our front step, but will wait a few more days when the temps are supposed to be cooler.
No, only the mum was $9. But it is HUGE. I'm happy with that deal! We also got $19 pumpkins (4) for $4 a piece. I think we paid about $40 for everything. I am just impressed at this mum. I'll try to remember to take a picture tomorrow.

Last year was the first year we did not throw the mums away. Just thought we would give planting them a try. They lived and came back.

The Conference yesterday was great. It ran way over and I could have stayed there for hours but I had to meet Lisa and the kids to go to the Pumpkin Patch.

This was a new place for us and it was pretty good. Had a 10 acre,3 mile maze but I only looked at it from afar....LOL

Best thing was the hayride. Best one I have ever been on. When they dropped you off they gave out free marshmallows with roasting sticks and people brought their own Hershey bars and Graham Crackers. They had probable 15-20 bonfires going.

They also had raw hotdogs you could buy and roast.

It is also a real farm and they give tours of the working sections of the farm.

Aloha!

Did a 5k this morning with Hubby. He ran; I was planning on "wogging" but then ran into a non-running friend. So we walked and talked the entire thing.
