Morning! So sorry about your aunt, Miss I. What a lovely name!

Shani, the beach house sounds wonderful. You enjoy being Snow White, but watch out for ladies selling apples. Just sayin'.

Kristi, so sorry about the drama with your MIL and for the kitty. Hugs.

Caro, imagine that mean things hurt people. Crazy. What next, will they say stabbing someone hurts? You know me & my MIL issues. Hugs.

Jo Jo, that is GREAT! This is something good for her that she has accomplished! Maybe a step towards independence! So happy about that!

Granny, I'm going to borrow your grandkids just to show them off! Truly adorable. And, as always you are super Granny!

Vacation Bible School started yesterday. They were expecting 2,000 kids! Where's the eye popping out of the head emoticon? B. & I are working in the craft room. They have this thing down to a science where each age level does a different activity at a certain time. It's fast & furious, but the kids have a good time. 5th grade (about to be 6th grade) is doing their own thing this year in a different area. That's kind of cool for them. They are "top dog" for about 3 more weeks when they become tiny fish in a big pond called Middle School.

I had 3 tiny fillings put in yesterday. Not too bad, but my mouth wasn't totally numb when he started putting in one shot. Ouch. The worst was that he had to hold my lip up b/c these were in the very back.
I'm clearly not sticking to my diet. I'm starting to gain weight instead of losing it. Gotta get back on track.

Tootles!

We had a BIG thunder storm last night.

And apparently that drove the wackos out of their holes....

Just wrote down the list of school supplies for the boys.
Wow, they ask for some stuff I have never seen them using it at school. Tiny dixie cups?

My fave Mexican restaurant calls them flautas also.

I wonder...if one of the contestant had said flautas, if Alex would have given it to them. You know how he has alternative correct answers?

Now I want flautas.

Yippee! We have phone service again.

I'm taking bets on what time we receive the first telemarketing/robo-call.

Hmmm. I always thought flautas and taquitos were the same except for the tortilla uses. Flautas = flour
Taquitos = corn

Hmmmm, good point. It's been so long since I've had either that I didn't remember that. I know the store-bought taquitos I tried once were corn, but I don't remember what the restaurant uses for its flautas.

Maybe I'll have to go out for flautas and margaritas this week.

Between her and my mother, who threw an actual temper tantrum last night over not being included in our dinner "plans" (which was a pizza we picked up on our way home from doing the water heater), we've decided we are finished doing anything above and beyond for our moms. It's just not worth the crap they dole out.
Oh lordy! Especially with your mother living right there! Sending positive vibes that both mothers take a break from the nastiness.

Thanks! They won't, though. I just have to accept that, and try not to let it turn me into a nutjob in the meantime.

I've found the do-not-call list to be utterly useless. Both of our cell phones are on it, but we still receive about 4 calls a week.

She bought the redneck martini glass for herself, because they only had one of each.

What's so funny is that she bought them at a hospital gift shop!

Bill and I saw the red solo cup glasses. Hadn't seen the others! Too funny. But a hospital gift shop? Whoever buys for that gift shop has quite the sense of humor!

The hour and a half thunder storm that blew through last night did NOTHING to help lower the humidity. It is a little cooler but still so humid it is not pleasant to be outside.

I was totally exhausted last night and wanted nothing to do but sleep, but my legs were restless. I tell you, it is one thing or another!

Lori - you are a saint. I cannot imagine dealing with that many kids. That is bigger than my kids' schools!

Off to get some school supplies.

We are thinking of getting D his own laptop now that he is starting middle school. The boys' desktop is a little oldie and doesn't have a good graphics card. That will free the desktop for S to do his research and homework and D will not have to wait or borrow my laptop.

Decisions, decisions

When does school start, Carolina?

A friend's husband is thinking of taking a new job. He wants to move before the end of August. I honestly do not see how it can happen. My friend has offered that he go ahead and then join in January. He doesn't want to do that. She and I are very similar in our (lack of) housekeeping skills. Although Bill keeps a lot of our stuff up better than her husband. "I" couldn't move by the end of August. I reminded her that school might start even earlier where they are planning to move (Indiana) than where they live now (MD)

We actually have a threat of thunderstorms later this afternoon and into the evening. And it's unusually humid right now. Most people are complaining, but I love it. It reminds me of Hawaii.

Decisions, decisions
Good idea, because he'll be using it a lot! We need to consider the same thing.

I reminded her that school might start even earlier where they are planning to move (Indiana) than where they live now (MD)
That's a big move in such a short period of time. But then again, the thought of moving in general makes me sick to my stomach

Kristi - you've already done your share of moving. I just looked at the school calendar were they would be moving. School starts AUGUST 19. I don't see how anyone could move in less than a month. And they have a daughter starting college in NY in August. My friend complains about her husband ALL the time, RARELY a kind word and they really do not get along at all. I just don't see this being a good idea. But it isn't my choice to make.

And on that note, I don't think I complain about Bill too much. Well, today is going to be a day I complain. As in my earlier post, I hate to clean, but decided our bathroom was starting to look like a bad gas station bathroom. I cleaned the shower and the toilet. Pulled the shower curtain and liner down. Figured I'd wash the curtain before putting it and the new liner up. Went to the basement. Last night Bill said he would put the jeans in the dryer, and started another load. I reminded him about those. I just went and found the clothes in the washer. Okay, I guess I have to rewash or at least rerinse. Open the dryer to fold the jeans. They are still WET. He never started the dryer. AND it is reasons like this I hate to clean! I get motivated to do something and then have to redo or fix what someone said they had already done.

Sorry - you can skip my posts for awhile. I may be annoyed for awhile.
