So, if you can give us a OI OI OI, then we can make you an honarary aussie. This is because when ever an aussie no matter where in the world they are, if an aussie hears the words " AUSSIE, AUSSIE, AUSSIE", they instantly reply oi oi oi.

Oh my gosh YES!! I was really homesick the first two years and did visit home during that time, but life and what not got in the way of feeling sorry for myself and before I knew it, 8 years went by! We're actually in the throws of moving back to Perth this year. We need some of that good ole Aussie way of life for a while. *sigh*
This thread made me laugh as I knew quite a few Americans probably wouldn't have a clue! However, as I am probably an honourary Pom, especially with regards to supporting the cricket and rugby I'm probably not welcome
I did see a great bit of Aussie telly on Football Matters (the real football not the USA stuff) with an interview with Robbie Fowler.

I belong to ACTSA (ACT Stamp Artists) Julie Van Oosten from Collections is our tutor this year. I have done quite a few of Julie's classes at SDU and Paperarts. Love Julie's stuff! Last year we had Rachel Grieg, also a superb artiste and did a heap more playing with alcohol inks. I have personally played with them heaps, but it is nice to do so with lots of other people too. I usually gasbag my way through camp....but I might try and be a bit more productive this time...Hope the girls aren't reading this...I haven;t put it in stone yet!
I go early, stay with a friend I met on Stamphappy (an online group I used to belong to where I organised Online Classes) years ago, stamp my little heart with her and anyone else game enough. I am staying after as well, so we can stamp up a storm some more. Camp is so much fun. It is lovely to leave all men (and children - where applicable), all worries at home and turn into a bunch of giggly schoolgirls for a while...with a few bottles of chardy thrown in too.
I fly of course...since it would be over 30 hours of driving. Frequent Flyers are my friend.
Hubby wants them to change the month they have camp in coz it will be planting time for him. Sorry for him! So sad too bad! He actually wanted me NOT to go, coz I wouldn't be around to mollycoddle him. Delusional man.

Hi. I'm not an Aussie but I lived in Wee Waa, NSW from Jan 2000 til August 2006.
I wasnt a stamper when in Wee Waa; I strung beads, selling jewelry at the monthly Market Day in Narrabri, 40K from Wee Waa. Now I make cards and some jewelry too.
I still communicate by email to a good friend in Narrabri. Hope to visit her in a year or two. G'day.
I'm not an Aussie, but as soon as I saw the "AUSSIE, AUSSIE, AUSSIE" I couldn't keep myself from thinking Oi Oi Oi. I lived in Canberra for 4 years in the early 90's... Good times!
