This is more my speed Jean...I'm Irish, I'm a redhead (natural too I might add) AND I like whiskey! Not a huge fan of Mt. Dew but there's plenty of it here in the south.

I AM Catholic and do not find the Pope's "manhood" offensive...well, his actual manhood, maybe. But, not Jean's version. LOL

So, tomorrow is our mediation...although we don't really expect to get anything accomplished with that wack-a-doodle, here's what our plan is: first offer is going to be switching roles completely i.e. we get primary custody with wacky-mama getting visitation every other weekend, etc. she paying child support, insurance, blah blah blah. Of course she will not agree to that. Next offer is splitting custody 50/50...alternating weeks Friday to Friday. This way both parents have the opportunity to parent and have an influence in school, etc. Probably won't agree to that either so we'll propose Wednesdays (after school) until Monday morning (school) - every other week.

I think we're being more than reasonable considering she kept the kids from Joe for more than two years! We've logged all the days the kids were scheduled to be with us on calendars - 12 mini monthly calendars to a 11x17 sheet (one year/sheet). Then we went back and put red x's on any day the kids didn't come over for whatever reason. There are alot of red x's and hopefully alot of explaining for bee-otch to do.

Wish us luck. If nothing else, we just want her to be called out on her non-motherly-like actions. Vindictive bee-otch!

Also, in case anyone is interested...if you're familiar with the TV series Revolution. It is filmed here in Wilmington. The director, producer, et al were here at the water plant today to check out our facility because they're interested in filming episodes here. I don't watch the show so it's not a big deal to me...plus there are always TV/movie crews set up around town so we get used to them blocking traffic, congregating in large areas, seeing the lights, etc. The new Iron Man movie that is coming out soon was filmed in Wilmington too...we saw groups of people attached in safety harnesses to a crane falling/flying into the river.

OK....I'll let ya know how we fare tomorrow.

Good luck, Jacq!!! It sounds like you have very reasonable plans and evidence to back it all up.

I watched a couple episodes of Revolution when it first came out. I'll tune in again if I can get a glimpse of the water treatment plant you're the queen of!

Jean (and Pat!) that card is gorgeous. Love it.

Well, it appears I lost my notification again. Thankfully, Jean told me there was news on the thread so I at least got notification from her.

Hi everyone!

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well, D! Hope you get better soon.

Good luck on your court date tomorrow, J.

Happy Birthday Michelle!!!

So sorry it's a day late. In the back of my mind, I knew it was yesterday but forgot to post. Hope your day was a good one.

I'm staying home from work today - having "female issues". I think I've been going through pre-menopause - "Aunt Flo" is so wonky...sometimes I get it regular every month and other times it skips months (sometimes 2). Sometimes it's normal, others it's super heavy, crampy, etc. Either way, it SUCKS!

Yesterday's mediation went about as expected - accomplished nothing. Bee-otch said she thinks the current schedule is working just fine and doesn't see a need to change the custody arrangement - the boys see Joe enough. She is delusional. So, it's off to court. Let her explain it to the judge.

Sorry to hear you're puny Denise. Hugs that you feel better soon. You too Jean - hope you're feeling better.

Loved your St. Patty's card Pat. I had intentions of making some but time got away from me. I have some really cute stamps too I planned on using too. And, Easter is so close so I need to concentrate on a few Easter cards. So far, I made one each for my little nieces.

Guess I could get some stamping time in today seeing I'm "sick".

Well, me little leprechauns, I'm going to make this a beautiful St. Paddy's day. I think we'll take our Dublin Potato Salad (sooooooo gooooooood) off to the coast and have a picnic today. I hope your day is golden, loves.

I just put the Dublin Potato Salad in the refrigerator to mellow. I have an ice cream pie in the freezer as well, made with Mint Moose Tracks ice cream, cool whip, and green sprinkles in a chocolate cookie crust. Everyone is Irish today! You know how I love to party!

Erin go brah me shamrocks. Your St. Patty's Day dinners sound delish. I've been too busy to come up with a festive plan so we're just having roast pork loin medallions and whatever else i feel like whipping up. Recovered our dining room chairs today and went to Pier 1 and bought some "smell goods" for the house. Joe doesn't like plug ins so i got oil & diffusers and let him pick the scent. We settled on ocean breeze - it smells good & clean.

Now, if i could only get some doggone stamping done!!!

Happy St. Pat's! We had chocolate coins and shamrock confetti on our breakfast plates and then drove out to a winery where an Irish band was playing. But we're having fajitas for dinner! Vacation is good. Headed to the beach tomorrow, I think.

I'm all for a good Bloody Mary but 2 oz. of beef boullion for one drink?? Me thinks this would be a tad salty.

Aww, thanks! That sounds delicious!
Jean, hope you're recovering well.
I have a vacation hangover. It's 12:30 and I am still going through the email that piled up while I was gone! And even though I went to bed early last night, I was tired when I got up this morning. Good thing the weekend is right around the corner!
Ok, best get back to work. Have a great day everyone.

Ooooooo, let's open a lounge somewhere, Jacq. I'll bartend. Or maybe you should bartend and I'll be the lounge singer. Hurricane Patty sounds good. I am ready for one. Thanks for all your well wishes. Methinks a little birdie has been spreading the word. I've had an outing to the grocery store today and disobeyed doctor's orders just a little to relieve some of the "build-up" and residue and I feel much better. Ear is still droning but at least I've been vacuumed out in the balcony!

Hmmmmm. I have some of those hurricane glasses somewhere... Actually I like the sound of that Michelle's Indigo drink, and I have blue Curacao.

It's happy hour at my house. I needed a drink after a day like this.

Our phones and computers were down all day at work. Our boss is on vacation and the people in the main office were completely incomunicado (sp?) all day. Then about 4 o'clock, they decided they should care whether we did any work all day and kept calling asking why we hadn't done this and why we hadn't done that. Well we didn't have any bleeping computers morons! Then one of the editors called me to ask if I knew what hours my colleague worked over the last two weeks because she is in Mexico and forgot to fill out her time card. Hello genius - how the heck would I know? I was on VACATION most of that time.

Phew. glad to get that off my chest. Now I am going to do some therapy online shopping and maybe play with some new stamp goodies I picked up on vacation! Happy weekend, all.

It sounds to me like you might need more than one! Hope you're feeling better now. Happy weekend!
