Remember our Virtual Euorpean Tour last year? Well, we're doing virtual Hometown Trips BUT you will only do one post (one day - instead of everyday for the week). If you're in, PM me your hometown. I'm putting a schedule together. We'll each post our hometown tour info (one day at a time) and interesting links, facts, etc. then a challenge related to your post/hometown. We'll have an additional week, after we've all posted our tours, to complete and download challenges.

Not too bad! Tomorrow I have 2 closets on the agenda to get cleaned out.

What's up with the hometown thing? Is there another thread for it?

I feel like I miss so much here when I go AWOL!

Okay, ladies. Here's the latest on the Twine Share:

All of The Twinery colors are FULL! YAY

For the Divine Twine, we have the following spots still available. If no one wants them, I'll buy them, so no worries. Just wanted to make sure everyone gets what they want.

Lemon - 1 spot left
Orange - 1(2) spots left *
Oyster - 1(2) spots left *
Cherry - 1 spot left

* There are either one or two spots left, depending on if we order another roll of Licorice twine - see below.

So here's the deal on the waiting lists. Denise, you were the only one that wanted the Aqua Divine Twine. Unless anyone else wants more of that color, I don't think it makes sense to order another roll. Are you okay with that?

However, we have four people that want the Licorice Devine Twine. I'd be happy to be the fifth, and we could divide another roll by 5, each get 48 yds., at a total price of $2.40 (includes shipping) ea. The other four, besides me, that are on the waiting list are:

Paula L.
Denise
Alyssa
Jacqueline

Can you all decide what you want to do, and let me know ASAP? I haven't ordered the Divine Twine yet, so the sooner you all decide, the sooner I can order the Divine Twine. The Twinery twine is on it's way to me today. Woohoo!

Have a great day, girlies!

Karolyn, I would take the Cherry, the Orange, and another hank of Licorice. These are all colors I would use often.

Excellent, Pat! I'll put you down for the extra colors, as well as add you to the list for Licorice. That would give us 6 peeps for the second roll of licorice, which would decrease our lots to 40 yds. for a total of $2.00 ea. Anyone else?

Alyssa and I are definitely in for the black so just let us know what we owe you. I will go ahead and get the oyster, too. Is that cool?

Hi Ladies, hope everyone is well. We just got back from Tony's Family reunion on the Oregon Coast...Good times! I wish the weather had been warmer, but we lucked out with only a little sprinkling on the day we left.

I hope everyone is doing well. Other than playing in the Pacific Ocean I have been super busy with work (about 45-50 hour weeks). It still seems like I don't have time to get it all done...just glad I am paid by the hour.

Hi Stacey! Welcome back! Glad you enjoyed your vacation to the coast. The Oregon Coast is one of my favorite places in the entire world.
Hi everyone else! Hope you're all doing well. I've had a super busy week at work and I'm trying to stamp Dirty dare challenges in my spare time. I just got home from the store where I stocked up on easy-to-fix meals so I can devote more time to stamping this weekend!

Awesome Lee. Now, you can mess it up

Welcome back Stace - we missed you.

If you haven't already done so, please PM your name and hometown info. I am putting together the list - WE ARE STARTING MONDAY with the first visit and challenge. I'll be starting a new thread and will designate a keyword which will be sent to you via PM with the schedule. Hmmmm, where will we be jetting off to first?

Denise - go check your e-mail.

I'm waiting for Joe & Chris...dinner is in the oven - shake n' bake chicken and mashed potatoes and corn on the cob.

Joe's (step)grandfather died this morning (or, during the night). I've got to go to Myrtle Beach tomorrow, then we'll have to rush back and go to a memorial service. The funeral is Monday but it's quite a distance so we're not planning to attend.

I received a card today from my friend Carla's husband Phil who was in Iraq. I think he just got home this week...he beat the card home! Anyway, he was very appreciative of his box of goodies and specifically said to thank all of you that made him a card and contributed. He LOVED everything! I also thank you.

We will start the Hometown Tours on Monday. Keep an eye out for the schedule and additional deets. Should be fun.

Gotta go check the chicken. I said CHECK, not choke. heehee. Piglet Jacq is baaaaaaaaaaack.

Love your room, Lee! I am totally embarrassed by my stamp space at the moment - it is a disaster! I'm going to have do some tidying up before I can do any more stamping!
Hi Jacq. Sorry about Joe's grandfather. I'm glad Phil enjoyed the cards. Can't wait for the hometown tour next week!
Hi Lee. Boo to the headache. Hope you're feeling better. Get the box out when you can, no rush.

Hi everyone else! Happy almost Friday! I am so ready for the weekend.

You up doing challenges Mish?? I'm feeling better and the usual insomnia is around! I just got the box filled with some stamps and a little thing of red flowers. It's ready to go out to Paula tomorrow!!

OMGosh you would all disown me if I posted my "before" photos! I actually posted them on Stamp TV since we have a forum about stamp rooms and I definitely shocked some of those gals with how awful it was! Hard to explain about how being so ill that just having the energy to stamp DT stuff and crawl back into bed doesn't make for a clean room! LOL

Denise! HUGS!!!!!

I did a couple more card tonight, but now I'm headed to bed. I should've gone an hour ago, but I wanted to finish my card, get it uploaded and update my blog! I used another of the traveling stamps for one of my cards tonight. I don't want them gathering dust on my table!

Dude, my room is probably just as bad or worse as your before pics and I am not ill. I'd just rather stamp than clean! Yep, just went and looked at your pics. My room is smaller but it's just as messy. No rush on the box. Whenever you get to it is fine.

Paula: Sweet little ones
Lee: What a great room to work in now.

Storms really hit us yesterday. Took my sister up to Beaver Dam yesterday and we were stormed chased all the way home. Strange feeling to look where I was driving and see nice daylight, etc. and then look in the rear view mirror and see nothing but BLACK sky. The Tornado Watches were behind us all the way home. Several sightings were reported by storm chasers and police.

We made it home, unpacked the car and got in the house just before it rained hard. Luckily our area did not get the flooded streets...not sure about the farmer's fields. Checked in with my brother in Waukesha this morning and he said they were fine...no Lake Wabash this time. They live on Wabash Avenue and it has been flooded several times in the last couple years. My oldest niece lives across the street and the water has been almost up to my brothers knees when they waded across.

Luckily the sink holes have all been in Milwaukee and nothing reported out by me. The first one reported last night was about 25 feet and has a Entura in it. The driver was helped out by standing on the roof and reaching the hands of a person who saw it happen. Today, we are hearing about a house in a sink hole, but haven't heard any details of where it's located. Such excitement.

I'm feeling like I just ordered Christmas presents and plan a trip.
Ordered Twine to play with and looking for some loved stamps arriving looking for a new home and sending some of my loved stamps on.
Virtual vacation to the hometowns of several virtual friends.
Attending CHA in Chicago on the 30th & 31st.

The next few weeks sure will be fun.

Wow, Robyn! So glad you were not too caught up on the weather excitement there! And that the sinkholes are not in your area. We have them here too.

Sounds like you are in for a fun time! Can't wait for my turn with the box.

OK girls, I need some advice! I stayed up way too late crafting last night. I'm at work now but technically on my "lunch break!" Anyway, while I was coloring away, I discovered that I've actually run one of my Copic markers out of ink. My question is: has anybody done any refilling? Do you need the special pin thingie to refill them? Do you have a good source to buy ink refills? Or, has anyone used the My Favorite Things Co.'s refilling station? Any advice would be much appreciated. At the moment I'm thinking I might just buy a new marker, but maybe that's not the smartest way to go. It's N0 - a very light neutral gray that I use a lot to color Fluffles (also known as Eliot-colored!)

Hi Friends!

Stacey, it's good to see you around these parts again! We definitely miss your funny and happy banter! Jacq, so sorry for Joe's loss. I'm sure you'll have a crazy weekend with all that's going on. Lee, your room is to die for!! I'm so sorry you had a headache last night - migraines are so horrible. I feel blessed to only have experienced one once or twice. Hope you're feeling better today. Robyn, sounds like you definitely have some great things to look forward to. I love it when that happens.

Hi everyone else!! I hope to get some stamping done today. In fact, I need to get my fanny moving right now. Enjoyed a pedicure with Ashley and Brecken this morning, and Brecken went to his first Mariner's game Wednesday night. I'm attaching a picture of him in his Whitesox outfit. Our good friends' son plays for the Whitesox, so he was sporting the black and white. So stinkin' cute. He fell asleep in my arms and slept through most of the game. It was SO noisy, I was shocked that he slept through it. But he did.

Mish, I haven't refilled any of my Copics yet, but my friend Terri just pulled the tip out with tweezers, poured the refill into the pen, and then replaced the tip. She said it was really easy. Ellen Hutson used to have quite a few of the refills, but I'm not sure she still does. Otherwise, I'd try 7KidsCollegefund.com. I think they carry quite a few. I wonder if your friends at Eclectic Paperie carry refills - not sure about that. Hope this helps!

Here's the refill at Ellen Hutson: N0 Refill

Aww, that picture is adorable! Risky move, though, putting the baby in a White Sox outfit at a Mariners home game!

Thanks for the Copic input. eclectic paperie doesn't seem to carry the refills anymore - only on special order. Ellen didn't have this color. I will check 7kids. I'd love to order the refill from somewhere that I can at least add a few other things from need/want list. Shipping on one refill seems silly. I guess I should check the others and see if any of them are showing signs of running out.

OK, we were posting at the same time. I couldn't find the refill at Ellen's, but I see you did! I guess I'll order it there! I've always had good luck with her service.

She's amazing, and she'll appreciate the business. I think things have been kind of tough for her lately. Her hubby is out of work, down with pneumonia, her daughter recently had pneumonia, and she's still fighting the Spellbinders case. She's such a sweet lady, and certainly doesn't deserve all those problems in her life. In spite of it all, though, she runs a great business.

Hello Everyone! I've read back and don't even know where to begin! Caaaaaautttttee kid in a baseball outfit! Robyn, glad you're safe. Great stamping area, Lee. Hey Michelle, Hey Stacey, Hey Karo, Hey Pat, Hey Jacq (sorry about Joe's grandad), Hey Paula, Hey Dee! We missed the tropical storm but sure could have used some of the rain. I just got back from errands in Tampa--bought some Bic alcohol markers--saw a thing on Crafter's Critique about them. I'll try anything for 20 bucks. Bought a cute EK success pumpkins border, and some caaaute K&Company Halloween 3D's. Hugs to you all. Glad everyone is enjoying the box so far!
