Hi everyone! We finally made it to our new house! The moving truck is coming today and I get to unpack 190 boxes ( I think 90 of them are stamping stuff lol) ... But I LOVE my house and have some fun new neighbors already. I'll get some pics up after I get my Internet set up tomorrow. Xoxox
Ps I'm thinking of planning a stamping retreat again......
Hola peeps - I'm playing hooky today...but actually going to the doctors this afternoon.
Let's get personal...I think I'm going through a pre-menopausal thing. Aunt Flo has been so out of whack the past year...I've always been very regular - like clockwork. Now though, sometimes I don't get anything for 2 or 3 months, then I'll get it and it's virtually nothing but then the next time it'll be heavy w/ bad cramps, etc. It's a total guessing game free-for-all! I've also been having other "tummy troubles" - anything I eat goes right through me so I haven't been eating as much as I normally do. It's probably due to all the stress at work.
Last year, they moved me from the water plant to the admin office and basically gave me a whole new job - one which I didn't want nor asked for. Although I like my paycheck, I hate working there and the people I work with are self absorbed work-a-holics. I've been SO stressed out and can't even stand going to work half the time. I realize I'm lucky (and grateful) to have a job in this economy but it makes it that much more miserable because I feel like I'm stuck. I did start looking for other work and have been applying for other jobs though - something will eventually come up.
Meanwhile, Xanax is my new best friend (just kidding). No, that would be Margarita. Still kidding. Just wanted to vent some of my frustrations and prepare for my doctor appointment so I don't go in there and unload on her. On the sunny side, I plan to make a few cards today while Christopher is at Grandma's.

Jacq.....ummm.....you know I've been trying to tell myself that it's been a chaotic and very busy year and that's why my T.O.M. is doing the same thing! I can't be already doing the pre-menopausal thing, can I?? I'm only 29!!! Ok seriously....really does this happen in your 40's?? Sheesh! Although I do have to say I like not having T.O.M. every month!

Sing it with me sister! I think it starts in your 40's but doesn't completely get there until later. But I guess it's different for everyone. I hope I don't start getting a beard.

remember last year when I had the endometrial ablation thingie? Well, my T.O.M. was all screwie and seriously heavy enough to make me anemic almost always. Well, painful surgery...check....T.O.M. under control....check. It's seriously been really great as far as timing and so light I only need a pantiliner. Cramps and other fun stuff still annoy me but you can't have it all.
ANYWAY.....they told me this was the start of the big "M" for me too! ACK at 40? But I guess so...
Go buy some stamps... I think that should be a prescription for reals....
Hello everyone! I got a Silhouette SD cutting machine today! It is so cool! About 10 or 12 years ago I saw the Wishblade at a scrapbooking/stamping expo. I wanted one so much but they were way too expensive for my budget. Anyway, fast forward to the present. When I went over to Jean's for the VSN Mini, she had just gotten a Silhouette and we made all kinds of cool things for my classroom using it. So I was thinking about buying one and then I found out that it is discontinued because they are coming out with the new Cameo that will take 12 x 12 paper. So the Silhouette became affordable and I bought one. New toys are so much fun!
I'm here, I'm here! Sorry I haven't checked in. Vacation was fabulous - we had such a great time and got to do and see so much while we were gone. I can now say I've dipped a toe in the Atlantic, drank a Sam Adams in Boston and ridden the New York City subway!
Re-entry to real life has been a bit rocky, especially at the office! It's like all the stuff I hate about my job has emerged in the last week all at once. Ugh.
Anyway, I also have been very busy stamping. As soon as I got home, I started stamping for the Dare to Get Dirty challenges. My goal was to do a separate card for each challenge and I did it! Yay!
Now I'm back to sorting through photos of the trip, catching up on laundry and household chores and just generally trying to get back into a routine at home. This weekend I am headed out of town to go to a memorial service for the husband of a friend I used to work with. He died unexpectedly of a heart attack at 54 - so sad!
Oh, and I also got a fabulously awesome card from Stacey - thanks!!!

Mish what a fabulous trip! And how amazing are you with the DTGD challenges! I'm so sorry to hear about your friend's husband. You just take some down time and let yourself recover a bit! And thank you for the very pretty card...I unsquished the flowers! Hugs!!

Glad you liked it, squished flowers and all. It was the pinkest one in my stash!
Sounds like you had a fun (well deserved) vacation Michelle. Sorry that work still sucks - I can totally relate. Work for me has been less than happy & fulfilling too.
Pat - glad you liked your card - I had fun making it for you (with Christopher hanging over my shoulder) and loved the way she came out.
Didn't do any of the DTGD challenges - as a matter of fact I need to renew my fan club script so I can access the "special" gallery. Just haven't had as much time to spend here as I used to.

Mish, I'm so glad you had a good time, I wish I could have met you! Next time you come to Orlando, we have to get together!
I'm kinda bummed I won't be able to play much for this VSN... My mom will be visiting the new house and I know she will have me driving her all over the place! I'll see if I can squeeze in one or two...next one I am all over and may have to have a big party if my new craft room is done!

So what else am I missing around here?
I feel bad I didn't make more of an effort to try hook up with you, but our schedule was so tight, and I was already worrying about wearing out my mom and sis with the things we were doing, I just couldn't figure out how to do it. But I have never been to Florida, so one of these days I'm going to have to make a trip there and then I can meet you, Jean and Pat all at once!
Glad you are settling in and enjoying your new home! Can't wait to see pics when you're settled!
I had a busy weekend attending the memorial for my friend's husband. It was a bittersweet day because I had a chance to reconnect with lots of people I hadn't seen since I move 3+ years ago which was nice, but I wish I could've done it for a different reason. I ended up staying over at my cousins' house and had a good visit with them too. Now I'm doing weekend chores and debating a run to Michael's to use the 25 percen toff everything coupon. I could pick up a few more Copics for my collection ...

Not sure how they are at your Michael's but I finally found where they are at the Michael's here and I don't think I will ever buy them from there...even with a coupon. They're all thrown together in a shelf attached "bin", some had caps missing and you could plainly see where people had "tried them out" (the scratch paper and graffitied shelving were clues).

Hey girls - I am still here hanging out. Work is crazy again - well, at least the shifts are. I am working nights this week - which I don't really like - I close which means all the work of cleaning - but it IS a job for now. I am happy to say that I am now licensed to do Massage in Alabama - so that IS exciting - now to find a place to do my magic finger dance. I LOVE doing massage. I would LOVE to catch up on sending out my cards - I think I might have July to send out and August - but I V+CANNOT find the list of who to send to next. I do think I have the address list though so if someone will send me a pm - I am likely to get that - then I can get caught up. I have lots of cards that I have made - but lately have been in digital mode - playing with Stampin' Up! MDS and creating a swatchbook template. almost done with that - there are 26 pages in that and I wanted to create a template so that when I want to drop pictures I can just do it and be done - well expect for changing the colors and such, but that should be an easy fix, right? We will see. I do about 3-4 pages and then I have to go do something else otherwise I will end up falling asleep. Anyway - good to catch up with you all - and to that monthly thing - well - I went through the anemic stage to the point of having 4 pints of blood transfused into me - so, yeah - no fun - finally had everything taken out (well almost) and I am happy THAT part of my life is done!

Joe & I are off to Charleston, SC for the weekend. Can you believe it? I've been married for a whole year (Saturday)!! Actually, it seems like we've been married alot longer but we also had much to deal with. Bottom line is we got through our first year and hopefully will have many more happy years to come.
I've been the craving shrimp & grits and bloody Mary's at our fav restaurant down there so that's going to be one of the first stops when we get there. Mmmmmm.

Aw, thanks guys (gals). Cute smiley Lee. You really do have one for everything!
We had a fun weekend...we did the touristy thing in Histroic Charleston last time (and nothing's changed since we were there) so we took a ride to North Charleston and to Folly Beach. Ate, drank, and we were merry. Next time, we're planning to spend more time at Folly Beach. Our hotel patio overlooked the Citidel and I awoke to bugles at 7AM Saturday.

Hey girls! Jean came and poked me with a stick on FB saying to show my sorry face. We're all good, it's just been busy! Archer had daily swim lessons and now we're at twice a week. We've been sick off and on with sinus crud. Tomorrow is 7 weeks until Ruby Leigh arrives (pretty sure that will be her name). Had two weeks of wondering if I had gestational diabetes, which I don't, but I don't think I've ever eaten as much peanut butter as I did while waiting for results! Very behind on my card sending. I'm hoping to take a nice bundle of things to the PO this week. Still hot as blazes and hasn't rained in weeks. Ezra will be 2 yrs old in 3 weeks. That's about it for us.
Happy belated anniversary to Jacq and Joe!
Stacey - thanks for the card!
Hi to everyone else!

Love the baby's name, Paula!
Glad you had a good weekend, Jacq!
I had a three-day weekend, which I basically wasted away doing a bunch of nothing. I did go see The Help today and thought it was wonderful. And I made a few scrapbook pages.I I'm trying to get back in the groove of doing that, since I have boxes and boxes of photos to scrapbook!
