Jacq, sorry to hear your were disappointed with your smores. The giant marshmallows might have been an issue. I like to make mine with reese's cups, but the trick with the reese's is to put the cup on the graham cracker and warm it over the fire or grill to let it start to melt before adding your marshmallows.
Dang, now I want smores.
I also want a three day weekend. Yesterday wasn't bad, but today felt like Monday all over again. Two Mondays is not good!
Pat, I hope your classroom remains squirrel-free until school is out. Shouldn't be long now, right?
never a dull holiday weekend in my family....My sister had my very first niece on May 29th (5 1/2 weeks early)!
Elizabeth was 6lbs 8oz, 19 1/2 inches and was officially the biggest preemie in the NICU! She is fine and got home yesterday! Now she will share the Memorial day tradition and wear red white and blue for her birthday also! How cool is that???
I hear ya Pat - it's been in the 90s here too! I've already got a tan that I normally wouldn't have until the end of July! Joe, Chris & I spent the weekend at my parents...it's SO nice where they live. It's only an hour away but it always feels like a mini vacation. We spent yesterday afternoon poolside and went to the beach this morning - the ocean temp is already 77*. It was great.
Hope you all had a nice weekend too.

Those are fabulous, Denise! And I'm with Jean, I dig the netting. Where'd you get it?
Sorry I have been mostly MIA lately. Lots of work drama, as usual. My good friend's father-in-law passed away. And I was sick for a few days. I am back on the mend now, but heading to see my cousins this weekend. And next weekend I'm headed to Oregon to surprise my sister and support her Relay for Life event. Oh, and go to my class reunion, for which I still have nothing to wear! So I guess I better get busy, huh?
Have a great weekend everyone! I'll try to check in again before I leave next week!
Hello everyone! I'm officially on summer break now. Yay! The last week of school was way crazier than usual. On Thursday morning my principal told me he's moving me to second grade for next year. After the initial shock I've decided it was a wonderful gift. I was feeling really burned out after 15 year of state testing pressure. And the teachers on my new team are the nicest people in the school. I'm starting to feel excited about decorating my new classroom already!
I saw some new cuttlebug embossing folders on Gina K's site, but they were out of stock so I ordered from 7 Kids College Fund and got these cool folders in order from left to right and top to bottom: Madison, Mary Ann, Keyboard, Rebecca, and Tiffany.
