Joan, I searched and searched for those violet stamped images I have, but couldn't find them. I colored a favorite mixed flower stamp and will get it mailed today. I will put your address as the return address.

When I get my things together, I will be making cards for Coles Kids too!!!

Joan - sorry to hear about your aunt.

Preston has a dr. appointment today. His cough isn't getting better and he now has a rash all over his back. I'm making a Valentine treat bag for him to give to the dr. I think she has a crush on him

Hi all. Just scanned what's been going on. So sorry to hear so many of you or family members are not feeling well either physically or emotionally.

Went to meet with my outplacement consultant this morning. More work to do on my resume. Also start need to start treating my job search as a fulltime job.

Both Alison and Michael are sick with colds. But it is nice to have them home this afternoon. Early dismissal from HS and Michael was supposed to work but called in. So many of the patients are elderly and he didn't want to bring his germs to them.

We are looking at a storm on Friday. Yuck. Snow. Not sure how much.

Trying to have another productive day in the craft room. Started this card yesterday working mostly on the coloring. - trying to get better with blending copics.

Did do this from scratch... coloring the netting was a real challenge... you should see my hands.

The dr. gave Preston an antibiotic. She thinks he may have some infection in his sinuses that is causing the coughing. She wasn't sure what is causing the rash but isn't worried about it. She liked her goody bag. I stamped a Valentine puppy on the front and we just happened to get the puppy room at the dr. - I love when things coordinate like that. She was impressed that he is potty trained and he sang his abc's for her.

We stopped at Noodles and Company for lunch (yum!) and then went to the park. He had so much fun and hopefully he'll take a good nap. I have my dr. appointment at 3:00 and I'm taking him with me. Wish me luck!!!

Sherry and Caterina - very nice cards!!! I put M&Ms in the 1x8 cello bags from Stampin Up to send to some of the college kids. It was NOT easy getting those M&Ms in those bags. Next time I'm doing pencils or pixie sticks in the bags. I'll do something like you did - much easier to handle!

Jennifer - glad Preston got some meds. I'm sure he'll be much better soon. Sinus things are annoying and cause the weirdest things sometimes.

Liz - I saw the forecast and almost croaked! Although we aren't really supposed to get anything unless it shifts. You and farther north (like my parents, my brother and Bill's sisters!) look like you could get hit hard. I hope not.

I spent most of the afternoon putting the stuff together to mail to the college students. It takes just as long to pack the stuff, address it and gather it all together!

Hello!

I think I have turned the corner with my cold. I was so sick yesterday. I didn't sleep well because I couldn't take any Afrin. Today I've only taken 1 mucinex/sudafed combo drug. I'm still congested but I can breathe and I feel like I have more energy. I cleaned up the kitchen and started disinfecting. I am tired now. Hopefully I can start back on my school work tomorrow or maybe a bit tonight. Boy is my nose red and irritated despite the puffs plus!

We are getting 18 - 30 inches of snow, but it looks like it'll be too late to cancel school. If they're smart they'll schedule an early release now.

Nikki - I used to get UTIs a lot. They are the worst. So painful. I'm so thankful my doc will prescribe something over the phone. I've had them often enough she knows I know what I'm talking about.

Jen - that weather does look intense! Don't overdo it. I'm glad you can breathe easier now though.

Nichole and Jen- I sure wish you could caught a break from the illnesses. Take care!

jennifer- hope the meds help Preston.

Joanne- My aunt was diagnosed with bladder cancer. She is too old to have surgery. I am not sure what they are going to do for her. Poor lady!

Sherry- I love your m&m holder.

Caterina- I would definitely have blue fingers. Your card is beautiful!

I made the mistake of shoveling today after work. Ouch! My foot is throbbing... I made a bad choice. I just didn't want DH to be troubled with it. he has so much going on in his life.

Thanks for all the kind words on the card.

Am exciting Reynold is $65 shy of $1,000 as of today for St. Baldrick's! Sure hope he can get to the $5,000 goal. He told me that I worked as a fundraiser for years so he is leaving that part up to me.

Joan, What are they going to do about your foot? It seems like it has been hurting you real bad for a long time, and you haven't had any relief from the cortisone injections. Believe me, I know what you are going through. I've had foot surgeries, and they were such a relief!!!

I'm sorry to hear about your Aunt. How is she doing besides the bladder cancer? Is the bladder cancer advanced? Bless her heart!!!

A chuckle ....

It is with the saddest heart that I must pass on the following
news:

The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma
complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71.

Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin.

Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs.
Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess
Twinkies and Captain Crunch.

The grave site was piled high with flours. Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy
and lovingly described Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded. Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was
filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting
much of his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky at
times he was still a crusty old man and was considered a roll model for
millions.

Doughboy is survived by his wife Play Dough, two children, John Dough and
Jane Dough, plus they have one in the oven. He is also survived by his
elderly dad, Pop Tart.

The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.

We were going to go to the zoo this morning, but it snowed overnight and would probably be a little chilly on the mountain. So, we're all going to a bounce house. None of us have ever been there, but I've heard good things about it. Then we might go to the Thai place for lunch.

We're back home and I'm worn out!! The kids had fun at the bounce place - although neither boy wanted to bounce - they wanted to play with the toys and run around.

We went out for Thai and it was so, so good!!

Stopped at the pharmacy and picked up Preston's antibiotic so we'll see if that helps his cough and rash.

I'm off to go purge something...

Jen- be safe. Liz, you too! Sounds like it is going to be worst farther up, near Jen. We might get some. Our "biggest" storm of the season but only a couple of inches. I'm okay with that.

Bill is taking me out to dinner tonight! I love that man!

We're expecting 12 - 30 inches. How's that for an accurate forecast?!

I'm stressing because my school already called for an early release. The kids still don't know. I am screwed if the kids don't have school and I do.

Jen and Liz-be safe! It sounds like most of the schools in NH will be closed tomorrow! I hope the weather predictions are dead wrong.

We are expecting a snow storm on Sunday night. But nothing like the one out east.

I had another bad day at work. This is getting awful for me. I think my boss has Bipolar disorder. She can be as nice as can be to one person and seconds later be a _itch!

Joan - I reallly wish you didn't have to work there, too. You deserve better.

Jen - I hope everything works out school wise for you. I heard those "specific" predictions, too! LOL

Nikki - I LOVE chocolate dipped strawberries. My husband is strange - doesn't like fruit/choco combinations.

We went to Longhorn Steakhouse for dinner. I rarely have steak (or want it), but it was delicious tonight!

Reynold is now at 20.2% of his goal with only 24 more days to go... guess I am going to have make some phone calls and beg. Am used to doing that at so many non-profit organizations where I worked including the 'beg-a-thons' on Maryland Public Television....

Joan, you are way too nice to be treated so awful. So sorry!
