If any of you were planning to send a card to my aunt, she is back in the hospital. If you still want to send a card for her 102nd birthday, please use my address as the return address.
Caterina- When life settles down, I am planning on making cards for your kids.
Joan, I searched and searched for those violet stamped images I have, but couldn't find them. I colored a favorite mixed flower stamp and will get it mailed today. I will put your address as the return address.
When I get my things together, I will be making cards for Coles Kids too!!!
Hi all. Just scanned what's been going on. So sorry to hear so many of you or family members are not feeling well either physically or emotionally.
Went to meet with my outplacement consultant this morning. More work to do on my resume. Also start need to start treating my job search as a fulltime job.
Both Alison and Michael are sick with colds. But it is nice to have them home this afternoon. Early dismissal from HS and Michael was supposed to work but called in. So many of the patients are elderly and he didn't want to bring his germs to them.
We are looking at a storm on Friday. Yuck. Snow. Not sure how much.
Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless ~ Mother Teresa
The dr. gave Preston an antibiotic. She thinks he may have some infection in his sinuses that is causing the coughing. She wasn't sure what is causing the rash but isn't worried about it. She liked her goody bag. I stamped a Valentine puppy on the front and we just happened to get the puppy room at the dr. - I love when things coordinate like that. She was impressed that he is potty trained and he sang his abc's for her.
We stopped at Noodles and Company for lunch (yum!) and then went to the park. He had so much fun and hopefully he'll take a good nap. I have my dr. appointment at 3:00 and I'm taking him with me. Wish me luck!!!
Sherry and Caterina - very nice cards!!! I put M&Ms in the 1x8 cello bags from Stampin Up to send to some of the college kids. It was NOT easy getting those M&Ms in those bags. Next time I'm doing pencils or pixie sticks in the bags. I'll do something like you did - much easier to handle!
Jennifer - glad Preston got some meds. I'm sure he'll be much better soon. Sinus things are annoying and cause the weirdest things sometimes.
Liz - I saw the forecast and almost croaked! Although we aren't really supposed to get anything unless it shifts. You and farther north (like my parents, my brother and Bill's sisters!) look like you could get hit hard. I hope not.
I spent most of the afternoon putting the stuff together to mail to the college students. It takes just as long to pack the stuff, address it and gather it all together!
I think I have turned the corner with my cold. I was so sick yesterday. I didn't sleep well because I couldn't take any Afrin. Today I've only taken 1 mucinex/sudafed combo drug. I'm still congested but I can breathe and I feel like I have more energy. I cleaned up the kitchen and started disinfecting. I am tired now. Hopefully I can start back on my school work tomorrow or maybe a bit tonight. Boy is my nose red and irritated despite the puffs plus!
We are getting 18 - 30 inches of snow, but it looks like it'll be too late to cancel school. If they're smart they'll schedule an early release now.
It's too bad that all the people who are smart enough to run the country are busy teaching school.
Jennifer is the Noodles and Company good? We have one here but havent tried it yet.
Jen glad your on the mend
Joan sorry about your Aunt
Cat and Sherry love the cards
Linda and Liz hello

Am exciting Reynold is $65 shy of $1,000 as of today for St. Baldrick's! Sure hope he can get to the $5,000 goal. He told me that I worked as a fundraiser for years so he is leaving that part up to me.
Joan, What are they going to do about your foot? It seems like it has been hurting you real bad for a long time, and you haven't had any relief from the cortisone injections. Believe me, I know what you are going through. I've had foot surgeries, and they were such a relief!!!
I'm sorry to hear about your Aunt. How is she doing besides the bladder cancer? Is the bladder cancer advanced? Bless her heart!!!
A chuckle ....
It is with the saddest heart that I must pass on the following
The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma
complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71.
Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin.
Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs.
Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess
Twinkies and Captain Crunch.
The grave site was piled high with flours. Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy
and lovingly described Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded. Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was
filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting
much of his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky at
times he was still a crusty old man and was considered a roll model for
Doughboy is survived by his wife Play Dough, two children, John Dough and
Jane Dough, plus they have one in the oven. He is also survived by his
elderly dad, Pop Tart.
The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.
We were going to go to the zoo this morning, but it snowed overnight and would probably be a little chilly on the mountain. So, we're all going to a bounce house. None of us have ever been there, but I've heard good things about it. Then we might go to the Thai place for lunch.
Joan i hate that you have to work in that situation, i must thank the LORD everyday for our move here to Knoxville from hermitage tn to get me away from my old work place, not very friendly people there either . all about themselves i hate that. but i love my job now and couldnt ask for better people wish you didnt have to work in that situation
Reynold is now at 20.2% of his goal with only 24 more days to go... guess I am going to have make some phone calls and beg. Am used to doing that at so many non-profit organizations where I worked including the 'beg-a-thons' on Maryland Public Television....
