I just got home from running around. Brandon's co-worker never called me back so I'm going to go to plan B. I ordered him a cake and a huge '40' mylar balloon. He's not going into work until about 9:30 tomorrow morning so I'm going to go put the stuff in his office and decorate with streamers and confetti. I think I'll decorate the inside of his truck too.
I called his family and they can all join us for dinner. It will be a surprise for him to see everyone there. I also ordered a Cold Stone Creamery cake so we'll come back to our house and have cake.
Hello again from Utah, Reynold took our friends to the airport this morning and we will be heading there tomorrow. We have had a nice week despite my gastric problems which decided to act up. The weather has been truly beautiful.
Well, I am the proud Mom to two tired little boys. J's baseball practice went very well. Probably one of the better ones on the team....you know when even the coaches say that his swing is awesome and once he gets back in his groove and develops in a couple of years he's going to be trouble.
Soccer went well too. A LOT of running which he needs. It pisses me off (sorry for the language but it really does) that his father told him that the running will help him lose weight. Um, he wouldn't need to lose weight if you fed him properly!! That every other weekend does a ton of damage....it takes me 2 weeks to undo and then it's right back at it again. Tonight we had grilled lemon chicken (which he loved) and fried zucchini and boiled potatoes. He actually admitted he liked the zucchini. He dips everything in ketchup so I buy the organic. I don't care if he doesn't eat the dinner starch, as he gets enough during the day. We had a long talk about how he is an athlete now and he needs to treat his body like an athlete does. Slowly but surely..... He's a huge kid - height and weight.....doctors aren't worried since he's been big since day one, but with my weight troubles and looking at the ex's mixed messages I am worried. I am trying to go at it from an athlete fueling his body thing since he is so into sports.
Now the little one chose not to eat. That's fine too. He knows no cookies then. Little stinker really doesn't care! LOL
And the best news of all, they are changing soccer to Friday so no double practice on Thurs!!! That means he'll be working out every day but Sunday, but that's OK. Come Nov we'll be stuck inside in the cold.

Nikki, I couldn't tell you the answer to your question. I do best with multiple choice and open book. If all else fails, cheat off your neighbors paper
I have never been so ready for a friday, its been a full moon kind of week. And I'm not talking about the geezer down the street who needs to invest in suspenders before bending over in his front yard.
I have to say I have the best husband ever. He called when he was leaving work and we chatted, I told him that I would start dinner in a few minutes because I was a little busy and in the middle of something. I of course didn't tell him it wasn't work related
He just called again a minute ago, I thought mabe it was a butt dial, but I answered yes Mr. Jensen ( he prefers I call him that, considering how much older he is than I) AND he's picking us up dinner. Yeah, now I don't have to stop goofing around and make a mess in the kitchen, double yeah!!
I'm so tired I might be delirious. I'm going to stop working now and think about getting stuff out to make my sisters birthday card. Her birthday is tomorrow.
Oh and I have a prayer request pretty please. One of my co-workers who I just love to pieces, I have so much fun working with her. Her mom is going in to have surgery in the morning to remove part of her colon, she has colon cancer. She's 86 and has a weak heart, I know my friend is so worried about losing her Mom. So if you all could say a little prayer for them I would apperciate it.
Jennifer, my nephew has a ton of clothes with monkey's. His bedding is also monkeys. If I remember correctly alot of it came from Babies r us, Target and Kohls.
Heather - I'm guessing you went to bed. I'm up now. It's 2 a.m. This is so annoying. i'm going to try and break the cycle by getting up early in the morning. However, I'll probably thwart (isn't that a great word) it by taking a nap. ARGH!

I'm glad you're having such a good time. Bummer about your tummy

I'm up too. Blech. Feeling sick. Head cold kind of sick. But, when I got out of bed to use the bathroom why the heck is the ankle I broke a couple of years ago all swollen and hurting?!! It's not suppossed to rain or anything. Sigh. I am so going back to bed once I get the munchkins off to school.

Jennifer- I once went to work with my work t-shirt on inside out and backwards. I had put my apron on and started working. One of the kids wanted to know if was starting a new trend, I had NO idea what they were talking about. I wondered about my co-workers lack of common courtesy.
Jenn- Hope you are feeling better.
Heather- he is a keeper.
Caterina- I am sorry about the stomach issues.
Joanne- Try and stay up through nap time and then go to sleep earlier tonight. If I take a nap... I never get a good nights rest! Hope the allergies are better. My youngest DS is miserable. He called to see if he should use an over the counter med along with the prescription he is taking.
Nichole- have a good weekend. I am sad to hear that you will not be able to move classrooms.
Well, he's moved in. The keys were supposed to be ready for pickup at 9:30 but a friend of his told him that sometimes they are ready early. We got to the dorm at 8:40 and he got his key! Also, a very nice surprise was that they had 'move-in crews' standing by with big rolling tubs. Everything went in one trip! We were done by 10 am and then walked over to the student center with him to pick up his book order.
He was the first one in his dorm. His roommate came about 20 minutes later and seems like a great kid. Nice parents, too.
I did fine. Seems more like dropping him off at band camp than college. He'll be home Labor Day weekend to lifeguard and then again the following weekend for a 12 hour EMS shift.
So Alison and I are off to see Vampires Suck and then Kohls--none of her jeans fit--too tight on her caboose! Catch you all later - TGIF!

Heather - great husband you have there! Always love to eat out instead of cook!
Liz - Hang in there, I know you will miss M! He will miss you too, even though he may not admit it! He is off to a new adventure in life!
Joann - I'm sorry you couldn't sleep! That just stinks!
I hope everyone has a great Friday! I have a huge to do list for the weekend and just found out that DH is off all weekend too. So I have to get his honey do list together! I'll keep him hopping!
Liz - wow that went fast! I can't even imagine dropping off my babies at college!! Though boarding school is looking like a great option at this point. They are exhausted!
Could my head cold be allergies? Hhhmm... I spent the morning in bed sleeping off and on.....hoping to catch it before it gets bad.

I'm going to whine - just so you know - in addition to my sleep problem, i have lower back pain, cramps, a slight headache (I KNOW that is allergies, it isn't brutal) and am sneezing (back to the allergies). I may need to switch my allergy meds again. This is too early in the season to be having "breakthrough" from the meds.
