Jen- I agree. Sometimes parents just don't get it. They see their own kids thru rose colored glasses.
Nichole- As a teacher, I was observed twice a year. I knew I was okay. It was the kids I worried about. There can be a domino effect at anytime. I will be thinking of you!
Hedgie- Hi... I am praying your new job is MUCH better for you!
jennifer- I only us the magic eraser on things I can't get off after trying the usual cleaning methods. My DS used it at college on the bathroom shower tile. It worked like a charm.
Caterina- great grandparent answering machine. My DS and DIL would not think it was funny.
Trying to decide what to wear for my lunch meeting today. I have not seen them since 1996 and have never eaten at this restaurant. According to their web site, they are an upscale dinner spot. So how do I dress? We are having lunch not dinner.
I was never one to see my kids through rose-colored glasses. I always ASSUMED it was my kid who caused the problem. Does that make me a bad parent? Sometimes I think so.
Joan - where what you think you will be comfortable in. Even in upscale places, I see people in jeans and t-shirts - REALLY!
Some BIG news here. Julie and Marie (with her dog) went with Julie's friend and the friend's mom out for the afternoon. Julie's friend has been very understanding and helpful with the situation with M. The mom had invited me to go along, but I sent her an email and let her know that I've not been feeling very well and definitely not social. She understood. Bill will be out of town on Wednesday so the mom and I might go for dinner or something. I did want to spend the afternoon with Bill.
He and I ran some errands and I get home and, of course, find I've forgotten to get some things at the grocery store. No big deal as it is close and will be a quick trip anyway.
Joanne, you are NOT a bad parent - please know I understand what you are going through and if you every want to talk, please feel free to call me anytime.
Glad Marie is making a big step in going out!! Good things could come about!

The girls are back and Bill went running. I made meatloaf and two huge containers of chicken potpie. I had left over creamy chicken from an earlier dinner this week. I think tonight's dinner will be the potpie since it has everything all together. If we had the meatloaf I'd NEED to get mashed potatoes - because I NEED them. Potatoes are my downfall!
well HOME from working today, so UPSET but not going to let it ruin the rest of my weekend. just think positive NICHOLE positive. but i was really upset today as in mad . teachers not doing their dang jobs. had to STAY later than I wanted to....................oh well. i guess thats why i get the TEAM PLAYER AWARD for the YEAR LOL
well going to visit a new church tomorrow with a friend. we went to one together for a few months but there are some people we want to seperate ourseleves from. DOes that make sense.

I had a wonderful fun afternoon with my friend and her husband, He told me he was my friend too. We laughed about his medical examiner situations. He is a great story teller. We could have spent more time together but she needed to visit with her family. I was so hesitant to go but I would have missed out on a great time. I wish DH could have come. I am thankful that DS was willing to drive me.

Joan-Thank you for the prayers for my new job. I need them! I still am getting commentary from some, on leaving the dept. But I just respond matter of factly and don't over explain. I have one more week there.

We woke up to snow yesterday! It snowed big, fluffy flakes until noonish and then the sun came out and we had blue skies. The sunset was so pretty against the snowy mountains. I took the other 2 pictures this morning - one before the sun came up and the other just as the sun was hitting the peaks. Enjoy!

It is so beautiful out there Jennifer! Sorry about the nosebleeds and wakefulness..It is hard to relax when your nose is dripping!
Jennifer-the pictures are wonderful. Have you ever thought about a career as a photographer. Is it dry in your house? That can be a cause for the nose bleeds. I never made it up to Pike's Peak when I was there in 2007. My sister turned her car around at the last place you could.

I just enjoy taking pictures (obviously!!) Our house is dry. I bought a humidifier - should start using it.
I've only been to Pikes Peak twice - we drove up and took the cog railway. Once was in June and once was in August. It was snowing both times.
I took the sunset picture from Preston's room and the other 2 from our office.
Jen- I agree.
I went for a 25 minute walk last night. My knee is still hurting today. I guess I am not ready for that yet! I am so discouraged. I will get over it. However, pretty soon the snow will fall and walking will become treacherous.
Have a great Sunday. DH is working. I was hoping to walk the 1 1/2 miles each way today. I guess I will watch church on TV.
There's still stuff to do today, but I need to eat lunch (trying to keep to the same eating schedule as my work week). Then I think I'll stamp and watch some football and then maybe go back and work another hour or two later.

Today I went with a friend to the new church it was nice, very comfortable, so we will go back a couple more times to see if its something that we would like to attend. She wants something for the kids too. So they had a very nice childrens church. We didnt take the kids today because she doesnt want to confuse them. But it was nice. We went to the early service which is at 9.
So tomorrow is the day. I prayed a lot during church today so I do feel good about tomorrow. but you know you still have those little butterflies fluttering in your stomach called nerves. But i just pray things go at his will.
Dh went to the dr this morning, i didnt know if i was going to get him up off the floor he was so down in his back they gave him a muscle relaxer shot and a steroid, and going to go pick up some medicine in a few mins he didnt work yesterday today and hes taking tomorrow off. not sure how he hurt it. but i felt so bad for him.

Afternoon - had a great group of kids at church. Some more new faces - and eager! Love those types!
Jennifer - Bill is actually headed you way. I think he is in Denver for Wednesday morning meetings. Of course, he has to fly out the night before and won't come home until Thursday. I would love to be able to go with him but can't because I have to drive Julie places. I wish she would get her license. She doesn't like to drive though and is in no hurry to get her license.
Beautiful day - could get into the low 80s, but there is low humidity which is wonderful. I might stamp this afternoon. A nap would be good, though, too.
I found last year that using our humidifier every night made a HUGE difference.
Nikki - prayers are important - I will still be saying more for you.
Your poor hubby - will add him to my list as well. Bill has had back problems off and on - one time he did something (no idea what or how) and was hurting for awhile.

I shopped for myself today...have not done this for over 3 years, other than for scrubs. I need things for my new job and walked for 5 hours, my mind spinning, not even knowing where to begin. I got a fall jacket, four sweaters, and a couple of nice scarves....that is all I can afford until I start this NEW job!

Tomorrow, Christopher Banks....I do have two things on order thru Coldwater Creek too. So, I should have enough to start with.
