Joanne and Joan - hope you're both feeling happier today.

Jen - way to go on losing 10 pounds! Are you proud of me for finding it?!

Cat - you've turned me into a freecycle fan!

Yes, by following the plan, and really watching portion sizes.

Jen- That is super!
Caterina- I have gotten rid of a few things on freecycle. So far I have not received any thing.
Doing better today... not quite myself yet! I few teachers told me I didn't seem like my cheery self today! OOPS... I guess I am not good at trying to keep a poker face.

I thought I was having a better day and then my daughter opened her mouth. I wish she could be kind once in awhile. Say thank you for making dinner. I'm just not seeing any end to this and I'm so tired of it all. I think that is why I'm tired and want to sleep all the time - I can get away from it all.

Sorry ladies, I'm just not in a good place right now . . .

Me neither Joanne.

I did a horrible thing.

And now I can't stop beating myself up over it. It's one of those things that I'll never forget and, of course, a lesson learned, but I'm never good at letting go of the bad stuff about me. It's all I can think of.

Cute funny...

Sharks on Duty

A fishing boat ran into trouble last week about 100 miles
off shore. Despite the efforts of everyone aboard, the boat
was lost. The people were left floating in their life vests.
The sharks were assigned to the case.

The two responding sharks were father and son. As they
approached the people, the father told his son to stop a
moment for instructions. He said, "Son, we need to go about
this in a methodical way. First, we circle the people with
just a bit of our fins showing."

The son replies, "Uh, huh. And then?"

"And then, we circle again but with half of our fins
showing."

"Okay. Then what?"

"Then, we circle a last time, with our fins fully out of the
water and displaying our teeth and huge mouths."

The son asks, "But Dad, isn't it easier to just go straight
in and eat them all up?"

"No, son. Trust me on this. They taste much better with all
the poop scared out of them."

Hi everybody

Sorry so many of you are feeling blue. Working from home today so I thought I'd pop in and say hi. And try to catch up on my gallery posting.

Football game is tonight due to Yom Kippur starting tomorrow at sundown. I'm scheduled for Pizza Duty before the game (serving the band kids pizza and cleanup). Then off to the game with my hubby.

Tomorrow night is Band Mom Bunco - should be fun, however I'm told the last two times, no bunco was played! Too much fun chatting and eating--which we don't have time for while volunteering!

The band is playing postgame for Rutgers on Saturday. So my whole family will be at the game but not all together. M will be with the student section, A with the Band and K& I with the rest of IHS parents. M will come home with us for the rest of the weekend-working EMS backup sunday night.

Anyway - hope you all have brighter days.

I thought I'd pop in and let everyone know I'm still alive!!!

I was busy with my daughter and helping with the baby and the other kids for the first week or so. Can you believe that little guy is already five weeks old???!!! Just saw him Tuesday. He is more alert, but sure knows his momma's voice!!! I can bairly hold him just when she has to potty!!! The price Granmma pays when the grandbabies are breastfed!!!

We were in Michigan a couple weeks ago. I really wasn't feeling up to going, but Bob didn't want to leave me home alone. I DIDN'T want to spend the whole week at home with him, so went ahead and went. I was pretty miserable with my back most of the time. I used to love car trips!!! I guess those days are over! I decided to try to knit again. So I stopped at some yarn shops along the trip, to break up the long drive. Bob found a new love while we were gone. The main reason for the trip was for him and our SIL to go salmon fishing. He loved it!!! He caught 3 big King Salmon, and he is addicted now!!!

The main reason I haven't been on here is that I've been feeling a bit too much of terrible MISFIT ! ! ! Now today, on top of that, I am feeling sick at my stomach!!! I had three appointments today that I had to reschedule!!! When I was in Michigan, I had big intentions for coming home and getting great things accomplished around the house, make and freeze tomato sauce, start moving, cleaning and organizing my stamping/ card/ craft room, tear down the wallpaper border in my living room/ dining room and get it ready for my husband to paint, etc., etc. CRAP,...CRAP,...CRAP ! ! ! Nothing has even been started!!! I started knitting, but decided that I don't like the colors of the yarn for the person I was making it for!!! Then today, I just wanted to get the living room cleaned, and all I feel like doing is going to bed (IF I can stay out of the bathroom long enough)!!!

OK,.....That is ENOUGH COMPLAINING ! ! ! You all will wish I STAYED GONE ! I am sorry for THAT ! ! ! I guess I've been holding that in for awhile!!! (I haven't seen my counselor for 3 weeks,...LOL!!!)

Anyway, I have missed you ALL ! ! ! I hope I haven't missed anything too important. If I have, would someone please fill me in??? I will try to do better!!!

Linda - I am so glad you checked in. We were all worried and wondering about you! I'm right with you on not wanting to do the work, but wanting it done. We have painting and stuff that needs it. Two rooms need to have the wallpaper taken down. I love it but it is looking aged. I do not look forward to tearing it down and redoing or painting. And the whole house is a mess.

So, you are not a terrible misfit. Or, if you are, you fit right in with me!

Hello Linda!! Soooo glad you came by, you have been missed. Bet you are enjoying that sweet grandbaby!! They are such an awesome blessing!

Sorry things are not getting done as you would like but have found that sometimes it works out better that way in the end.

Never, ever worry about venting and absolutely know we do not want you gone!!

Our pastor is traveling throughout Nepal, India and the area. He has had some incredible experiences and has been able to share a bit through emails when He can. Sadly, his poor wife had an experience of her own when the water heater blew up, caught fire and 911 had to be called. It seems every time George goes away, something always occurs back home. Martha has so many health problems to boot, plus she travels a great distance to her office everyday. Just grateful no one was hurt but am sure it is a mess.

Cat - poor Martha!!!! I'm glad no one was hurt, but can only imagine having to deal with all that. It always happens at the most inconvenient times! Whispering back: glad you enjoyed your lunch! Sounds yummy!

OK, I've decided that this has to be a stomach or intestinal virus or bug of some sort!!! I hope it goes away as sudden as it came on!!!

Bob and I haven't gone to church regularly for quite awhile. Bob is 10 years older than I am, and even though we agree on denomination, he likes a traditional service, and I prefer a more contemporary service. So, we have been putting off "Church Hunting" for quite awhile. I decided (while I was on vacation) that I was going to make it a priority, even if I have to look by myself.

Yes, Cat, Lil' Peanut is just over 8 pounds now. He's still a little skinny thing, but the week we were in Michigan, he changed so much!!! When I saw him Tuesday, I had on a bright ping shirt, and he looked at me, and his eyes got HUGE, his arm stretched out, and he made funny shapes out of his mouth. He is starting to get a personality all his own!!! Now, if I can just keep his Momma at a distance!!! They say that babies can smell mother's breast milk from 15 feet away!!!

Went to the gym and Preston was so good! He cried for just a minute when he saw me leaving, but then was fine the rest of the time.

Picked up some more baby food from freecycle today. I'm making all of his food at home, but it's nice to have containers for when we're out. So thankful to have them.

We stopped at the cemetery to visit my MIL's grave. It's a beautiful place with green grass and lots of big trees. We had to get directions from the office - there's no way I would have found it by just driving around.

Linda - I am very blessed that my husband and I found a church we both like. There have been many times I've been ready to leave our current place but we always stay because my family is most comfortable there right now. We now have a new pastor and things are in really in an upheaval now! The last pastor was there for over 22 years so you can imagine.

Jennifer - Preston will get better and better all the time. He is such a cutie!

I will probably have a BLT this weekend. I love them too. On gluten free bread. I have the frozen kind. It's eh. I found a good recipe online and I am going to try it and see what happens! Going to be expensive, but I am committed to this lifestyle change.

We are having a hard frost tonight so we pulled all the tomatoes and peppers that were left. There were a ton of green tomatoes. And two tiny eggplants. My eggplant decided to grow/flower only in Sept. Both that one and the tomatoes are still flowering???? CRAZY!! It's October plants!

My Ex-husband refused to go to church. When I was growing up, we went to church. In the church that we attended the longest, my father was very involved. He was a Deacon, and later studied to be a Minister. All this time, he was a very abusive man. He dropped out of school, left that church to go to another, and another. I hated it, because I was painfully shy, and just as I got comfortable in a church, we left to start over in another one. As I got older, I wasn't made to go anymore. Later, after my parents divorced, my mother told me that the reasons we changed churches so often was because my father always got into arguments at church, and was basically TOLD to leave. I still feel out of place in churches. I hope I can find one that I feel comfortable in!!!

Linda- So happy to hear from you! I hope you start feeling better quickly. I am happy that you had time with the new little one. They grow up to fast. Don't worry about complaining... we all have our days.
Liz- Sounds Like a busy few days. have fun with the family.
Joanne- Hope you are feeling better.
jen- I have not found a gluten free bread that I like. I took the test. B and C were only 3 points apart. A was very small! what does that mean? How should I be eating?
Caterina- As always being super positive. I love BLT's. However, tomatoes do cause havoc with my digestion.

OK, I'd think you are a mixed type who should lean more towards protein. And make sure you always combine the two. Never eat carbs alone. Let me see if I can find you email. Not sure I added it to my addy.

We usually go to through Holland Michigan on our way home every year, because they have an awesome Farmer's Market every Saturday. Well, they were expecting a heavy freeze that night, so they were selling the produce CHEAP. We brought home half a bushel of roma tomatoes, red and yellow peppers, celery, several different colored cauliflowers, brussel sprouts, green beans and lots of apples. Hopefully tomorrow, I will feel like making my special tomato sauce. The tomatoes are in the garage, which is usually OK, but it is unusually warm here for October. So, the earlier I can get them fixed, the better!!! I have lots of fresh herbs, celery, onions, garlic, and peppers to put in with the tomatoes. Yum, Yum!!!
