My accupuncture place has recliners, so people aren't laying flat. Occasionally someone does snore and they gently wake them. Usually it's not a problem. I think I snored myself awake once! LOL

I use a CPAP for sleeping so I can't really sleep without it anyway.

Jennifer - I hope you check in soon, too. We do miss you! Hope you are feeling better.

Jen, the two community acupuncture places I have tried, have recliners as well. A few times have been all by myself because I go during the day. On one occasion, the place was very busy, some were asleep, some just relaxing and others somewhat awake. Am really amazed how some tiny thin needle can produce such calmness.

Have a chuckle... my mind works like this sometimes....

In Hot Pursuit

Two Alabama State Trooper patrol cars were in hot pursuit of
a Camaro heading east toward Georgia on I-90.

When the suspect crossed the Georgia line, the first trooper
pulled over immediately. The rookie trooper pulled over
right behind him and asked, "Sarge, why'd you stop?"

"You dumb rookie," replied the sarge. "He's in Georgia now.
They're an hour ahead of us, so we'll never catch him."

I'm feeling so overwhelmed right now. I'm trying to get things done so I feel better.

I'm thinking of going to my friend's son's funeral tomorrow. He was 20 and she's asking everyone to wear DGK t-shirts which I don't have and won't buy but I want to know if it's appropriate if I wear capris? I'll wear sandals and a nice shirt, but I don't want to look disrespectful or too casual. I don't have anything else that fits

So sorry , Jennifer, have been thinking of you. <3

How very sad about your friend's son, so very young. Don't fret too much over what to wear - am sure your friend will be grateful that you will be there for support.

Jennifer - I'm glad you checked in, but sorry you are still feeling overwhelmed. We Misfits all seem to have something difficult in our lives right now. I think being at the funeral is the most important, what you are wearing is the least thing to worry about. Since Marie is 20, this hurts my heart, too. HUGS

We're getting rain again. What a surprise! Winds are supposed to be coming tomorrow and I'll bet we lose a lot of leaves!

Joanne, with three humongous trees in our yard, Reynold would love the wind to take them far, far, far away.

My dear sweet Jewish friend of over 55 years sent this to me. There have been other versons but still thought it was funny.

One day, someone made the comment that preaching to people isn't really all that hard - a real challenge would be to preach to a bear. One thing led to another, and they decided to do an experiment. They would all go out into the woods, find a bear, preach to it and attempt to convert it.

Seven days later, they all came together to discuss their experience.

Father Flannery, who had his arm in a sling, was on crutches, and had various bandages on his body and limbs, went first. "Well," he said, "I went into the woods to find me a bear. And when I found him, I began to read to him from the Catechism. Well, that bear wanted nothing to do with me and began to slap me around. So I quickly grabbed my holy water, sprinkled him, and, Holy Mary Mother of God, he became as gentle as a lamb. The Bishop is coming out next week to give him first communion and confirmation."

Reverend Billy Bob spoke next. He was in a wheelchair, had one arm and both legs in casts, and had an IV drip. In his best fire-and-brimstone oratory, he claimed, "WELL, brothers, you KNOW that we don't sprinkle! I went out and I FOUND me a bear. And then I began to read to my bear from God's HOLY WORD! But that bear wanted nothing to do with me. So I took HOLD of him and we began to wrestle. We wrestled down one hill, UP another and DOWN another until we came to a creek. So I quickly DUNKED him and BAPTIZED his hairy soul. And just like you said, he became as gentle as a lamb. We spent the rest of the day praising Jesus. Hallelujah!"

The priest and the reverend both looked down at the Rabbi, who was lying in a hospital bed. He was in a body cast and traction with IVs and monitors running in and out of him. He was in really bad shape. The Rabbi looked up and said: "Looking back on it, circumcision may not have been the best way to start."

few prayer requests: one for my dad he is now having to be on oxygen. talked to mom the other day and she said he had to go to the dr so they went ahead and put him on oxygen. Pray for my mom as well, her foot still hasnt healed right (diabetic) and she is having to do PT 3 times a week, so they both are out of working right now. My mom is getting medical leave but my dad isnt working at all. So not sure if he will be able to apply for disability now or not. he has been diagnosed with COPD too so i just told him to try and see what happens.

other request is for my place of employment: enrollment is DOWN big time. So praying for children to come but also that the owners can stay open. There will be some changes happening soon. and some of the changes would be cutting peoples hours, being put on sub status etc.............so not sure what my job situation is going to be. i guess this may be a sign that i start looking for another job. hmmmmmmm things to ponder.

thanks ladies for all of your thoughts and prayers, i know there are other things and problems people have and i think about you all often.

hope you all have a great rest of the week, i will be going home this weekend so i need some HOME TIME for myself. and SIL is still GONE too. just thought i would share that my brother has said hes tired of being NICE so hes done. so i dont know........

I've got a couple big decisions to make about little guy's health, etc. Just pray that I make the right decisions, the doctors don't give up on finding out what's wrong with him and that the upcoming procedures go well.

The last 2 weeks of October are horrible months for his health and here we are again. It's the time of the year he was diagnosed with heart disease and when he almost broke his neck. And we have some testing/procedures coming up on Fri. UGH! Is it Nov yet?!

Nichole- I will definitely pray for your family. That is too much all at once.
Jen- I will pray for you. I will ask for special guidance for the dr.

I just came home from a board meeting. Oh well, sometimes I just lose.

update on DH's niece from her mom: We were able to bring her home today but she is in a lot of pain from a torn ligament in her shoulder and the abdominal surgery. She is also very frustrated because of her memory loss. Tomorrow is going to be all about finding a physical therapist & neurological doctor. Because of the stroke, her doctor at the hospital wants an additional cat scan. She has an artery that is almost closed so will need a stint but not till she is stronger. Keep up the prayers, she still needs a lot of them.

It is a huge committment! A's school is doing Les Mis for their spring musical.

Now she's working on the audition pieces for Regions chorus. She's a freshman so may not get in, but she wants to try. Another big commitment for the month of January!

would love to have you come to the shows--both band and drama with me.

Liz - yes! Downingtown West is OUR school!!!! Small world, right?!

Nikki, Joan and Jen - will definitely be praying for those requests. I talked to my mom today and we were discussing how so many people are having so many issues right now. It is so sad and depressing.

Jennifer - I am so sorry you couldn't attend the funeral. I'm sure she understands, but I can understand how you feel about it, too. HUGS to you.

We were looking forward to a visit tomorrow with our eldest grandson but he just called to ask if it could be another day. Some of his friends are having a welcome party for a few exchange students from Italy and he was asking if it would be okay for him to go there. He said, "Grandmom I really want to come and spend time so maybe next month, we could do an overnight". He is so sweet!! Alexander will be turning 13 next month... the social life is just beginning.... gosh, time goes way too fast.

Jen- thinking of you and your son. Hoping you get the answers you want/need. Have fun tonight!
Caterina- Happy Birthday Conrad. Are you going to spend time with him?
Nichole- have a good day!
It is currently 26 degrees. Wow last week was in the 70's. This week has been in the 40-50 for highs.

Yikes, Joan, 26 degrees!!

Camron is here with us for the day because public schools are closed. Conrad goes to a Christian school so he had his class today. Hopefully, we will see Conrad later.
