The pink is on the right and left side of my screen. There's also a pink ribbon in the upper left hand corner.
I don't have any of that. It is all just the regular screen. I wonder why? I must have something blocked or whatever. You all know I am not very good with computer things!
Joanne please know that if anything I may have said hurt you in anyway that I ask your forgiveness. I know you are breast cancer survivor and am grateful that you are. You are a very dear friend with a sensitive caring heart. I hate all cancer and a cure for all of them would be wonderful. Am guilty of having a bit of a bias for my sweet kids. <3
Lately for whatever reasons, Sicily has been heavy on my heart and of course her family. I want to call her mom, Kerry, to see how she is doing since we have not talked for a few months.
Oh Cat - I did not mean to imply that at all. I'm sorry. I understand completely. You did not hurt me at all. It is so hard to "hear" what you read sometimes! I'm fine, really.
Jennifer - 38 degrees - I would have to turn on the heat! Well, I guess it depends how warm it actually is in the house, but I think I would be cold. Maybe I would bake something, that would help!
We turned our A/C on again Tuesday night. It was so horribly humid. I let it run twice and then raised the temp so it wouldn't come on again, but at least the humidity was gone and it was comfortable. I hate being sticky!
It's not too bad in the house, I have Preston dressed warmly and the sun is coming in the windows. If I get chilly, I'll vacuum
We went to the gym this morning, returned an over-due library book and stopped at Whole Foods. Found some neat gluten free stuff that we can try out and got some Honeycrisp apples - my FAVE!!
I'm trying to switch Preston to one nap a day so he's down now and I can finally sit and eat lunch!
Jennifer - you are so lucky he has been taking two naps so long. Marie did that, but not Julie. Julie rarely napped. I think if I had one of those snuggie things to swaddle her it would have made a big difference. Of course, I didn't know about those almost 20 years ago!

So love my GI guy, he is so caring and always has been for the past 25+ years. He told me how frustrated he is trying to improve the quality of life for me, bless his heart, tears flowed from my eyes. He adjusted my meds and ask me to try to eat something solid at lunch and to give him a call in two weeks. He also wants me to give some consideration to the idea of traveling to see a couple of specialists down in North Carolina for some extensive testing, etc. Hey, south sounds good - better than north to the Mayo Clinic.
Whats happening? I had to get online to see if Aliens had invaded Earth or something, people I have talked to today are crazy nuts!
Paul and I have been battling a cold or virus of some sort, but we have almost all of our home improvement projects done. I need to figure out a cheap countertop for my craftroom so its functional again. I saw a roll on vinyl that I think I could apply to mdf, but I am still looking around.
Cat, sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well. I'm always hopeful that they will find a cure for gastro problems, or better meds/treatment. liquid diets are no fun!
Cat - this time of year, south is good! I think it is such a blessing to have a doctor you like, can talk to, LISTENS to you, etc., etc. I'm glad you have such a good relationship with him.
I just had dinner and I am stuffed. It was a usual dinner but it seemed extra filling tonight! It was Nutrisystem Mac-N-Cheese with beef and I added cauliflower and mushrooms. YUM! But I am stuffed.

hello to all hope you all had a great day today. HUGS to all. mine was OK. the other teacher had a drs appt this morning (shes preg) so i had another teacher in my room and WOW is all i can say. it was a sad morning. kids were bouncing off walls. crazy day.
I went to the GP and podiatrist yesterday. The scale was my friend. It read 50 pounds less than March 2011. The dr was happy but did remind me that I have a long way to go. Strange how when I am not at work for a day my BP can be 112/60 and when I am working 138/92 or higher. Do you think stress? The blood work came back normal!
The podiatrist gave me a cortisone shot in my heel. WOW I sure forgot that pain. I need to go back in a month for a recheck. Hopefully, this helps. I am a woos when it comes to pain.
Caterina- I am offended about not wanting to go North. LOL I f you came to the Mayo clinic you would be less than 100 miles from yours truly. I think it is great that you have a caring dr. I sure wish that this problem was in your past.
Joanne- I actually have slept the past 2 nights. I wonder if not working affects that! I hope can get past the bed bugs and get some rest.
Jennifer- I still have the bedroom window open. It is currently 34 degrees. However, the thermostat says it is 70 degrees in the house.
Linda, the list is just to help with ideas for your SS, don't fret over what to get. I hardly put anything on my list and will be happy with anything. We did this a few years ago, was surprised what I got and it was just fun.

Nichole- praying today is better for you!
Hedgie- How are you doing?
Joan, would love to come north, must be during the summer though.... I am a summer girl. Keep telling Reynold that I would love to go to Iowa, Michigan Wisconsin and some other states but it has to be in July.
Joan - I hope work gets better for you and your foot feels better.
It's another chilly day here. It was only 61* in the house this morning - the heater actually felt good! I got up in the middle of the night and closed our bedroom windows. I love a cold room and a warm bed!
We're supposed to go visit Brandon at work today. I just put Preston down for a nap so we'll see how long he sleeps today. We cleaned up the kitchen, put out the trash/recycle and watched a few learning shows. He's picking up so much so quickly and it's so fun to see him so proud of himself. This is such a fun stage ♥
Joan - so sorry about the heel pain. I am sure that shot hurt! Hope it helps though.
Jennifer - Preston is at the start of my favorite age. I love kiddos from 18 mo to about 5 - they are just so adorable, precious, so eager to learn! Not that earlier and older isn't good, but that time-frame is my favorite!
It got warm here today. I'm sure Bill will want the A/C turned on before the day is over. We can probably open windows again tonight though.
I have so many little things to do today but cannot get motivated. I HAVE to go to the post office to mail in my prescription refill. We now have to do mail order or we are changed an additional $25 over the cost of the prescription. This is on 30-day refill meds. But last night I couldn't access the website and then today had more trouble. If they want me to use that service, MAKE IT AVAILABLE! Sorry, I was a bit frustrated!
I should wash Julie's window as the room is empty. Let's see if I can do that.
Wheel of Fortune is coming to Baltimore tomorrow and Sundy for tryouts and Reynold wants me to go give it a try. He took me many years ago for Who wants to be a millionaire and I made the cut but never got a call; but hey they gave me a neat WWTBAM pen.

If Reynold has his way, I will. He got me up very early to go to the Millionaire one and was practically the last person to get into the huge room of possible contestants. After the initial test, they called out my number and it was the guy next to me who said, "hey, they called your number"... I was not paying attention.
Reynold says I don't make any $$$ sitting on the couch shouting answers.

Yes, don't fret Linda! I put a lot on my list. It was fun to drool over what I'd like and I have a very hard time making decisions. LOL And I will use that list as my wish list for a SAB purchase.
But in all honesty, with this economy if someone is going to spend their hard earned money on me, I want them to know that what they are buying me will be very much appreciated and used! I too will be happy with whatever I get!

Well, boys are off with their dad for the long weekend. I was looking forward to a mellow weekend. But my dad is coming on Sun. We are finally closing on my house! I have a lot of cleaning to do before then!
But the best part of the weekend is that tomorrow I get to meet 3 heart moms for lunch! I've only met 1 of them IRL. We all live in the NE. Each of us in a different state. They are coming to NH and we're going to meet at an awesome Mexican restaurant! We're all on the same heart support web board. Drew is by far the most stable. 1 has an ICD/pacemaker heading towards transplant someday, 1 is on the transplant list and waiting, 1 has had a transplant and the other is heading towards transplant. So excited to meet such strong moms!!

Well we had some more excitement in the neighborhood this evening. Reynold and I decided to make a quick stop at Subway, we had just turn from our street when a car swerved in front of our car. This woman was trying to pass another car (in a no passing lane) and then swerved back and hit the car she was trying to pass. Praise God, Reynold's reflexes were good and we were not hit. We stopped to see if anyone was hurt and thankfully, it seems everyone was okay physically. The woman who nearly hit us and did hit this family with a young child in the car went nuts with foul language, came over to us with threats, screaming, etc. The family that was hit were from the Ukraine and the mom is four months pregnant. They have been in our country for four years to get their daughter the treatment/surgeries she needed at Johns Hopkins and said they were to go back to the Ukraine very soon. My heart just broke for them. We gave them our info and said we will gratefully be witnesses for them if they need us.
A Policeman came to our door earlier. Our next door neighbor's house was broke into this morning. I guess they used a patio chair and came through an open kitchen window. Heather came home for lunch around noon (like she does every day), coming through the locked front door. It looks likes she walked in on the burglary, as the back door was open. In the living room, the TV and VCR were unplugged. She was lucky that they were probably inexperienced kids, that were unarmed. Of course, Steve was concerned about his new Corvette that was in the garage, however, it was untouched.
There has been an increase in home burglary in other areas, and in other cities nearby. I never leave my house with windows open our unlocked.
I decided to get a Landline-phone again today. I've been thinking about it just about as long as we discontinued ours a couple years ago. We sleep upstair, and I forget to take my Cell-phone with me when I go to bed a lot. What would I do without a phone if I heard someone break in? I also need to be available if the kids and family need to get ahold of me if I'm asleep.
Cat - that family was brought to you for a reason!!!
Linda - how very scary!
I have always had a landline. I have young kids. One of whom is accident prone and has a heart condition. My house appears to be a deadzone for cells. Can only get a signal in the driveway. No one can get a signal, no matter the carrier! We're not in deep woods either!
I only have a SafeLink free cell phone for the poor. It doesn't even have a camera! It doesn't work great, but I am grateful to have it while traveling, for emergencies.
