Denise- I am so sorry your nasty bug is back. It has been one long haul of a winter hasn't it. Hang on, summer is coming.

I went out to dinner to an Irish restaurant last night with a group of ppl from a Meet Up group! I had such a good time! I have another lunch (PF Changs!!!) and craft event to go to on Sunday!

Jen - glad you all are safe and it wasn't a big deal.

Hello to all of you!

I am making cauliflower mac and cheese...don't think it's going to be "stunning", but I always follow the recipe the right way the first time. It's a low fat one so I think that's the issue Thinking next time I'll make my regular full fat full flavor mac and cheese and just add the cauliflower in. LOL
Glad you're feeling better!

I made homemade mac and cheese the other night. It was ok, but I can't find a recipe that I really like. Would you share yours? I like the idea of adding cauliflower.

Caterina - that sounds lovely. And the weather is supposed to be very nice this weekend!!!!

Joan - which Xyron to you have? I've been wanting to try a quilt card and think it wuold be nice to have that to use. But I don't know how to use it, either!

I have a huge request for you ladies - my friend from church, Robin, is going through a very tough time. Her husband is the quadraplegic. He suffered a huge setback this past weekend. He is in very critical condition with lots of issues: kidney stone, blood pressue can't be regulated, fever, bloating, lots of things. She is not particularly stable herself and her daughter has been acting out lately, too. Daughter is going for a psych eval and Robin was going to her doctor today for some Xanax most likely. Then, my neighbor who has cancer found that her current treatment is not helping as planned and she needs to try something new. This new chemo will cause more severe side effects and I don't think she can work. I want to do more for these people but am not sure what.

I honestly admire people who can do hospice care and people like our dear, sweet Cat, who does so much for those poor children. My emotions are all over the place right now and I'm feeling so low for these two friends. Just wanted to ask that you send good thoughts, prayers, positive vibes, anything and everything - please.

Happy Wednesday, already

Jen - I'm glad you are feeling better!

Jennifer - Preston is so cute, I love the shades!

Caterina - Happy Anniverysary! You and Reynold enjoy yourself!

Joanne - Prayers and positive thoughts for all of your friends and neighbors!

the biopsy came back for my mom, it is malignant. She is is having an MRI and a PET Scan this week. Most likely she will have surgery next week. They will take the upper lobe of her lung out to make sure they get it all and most likely no chemo or radiation. She is in good spirits and we are all positive. Thanks for all of the prayers y'all have sent!

Sherry

Sherry - I am sorry it is malignant, but no chemo or radiation is a good sign! Will continue to be praying for all of you!

Sherry - I am so sorry to hear about your mom - let us know if she wants/needs cards!
I hope she heals quickly and fully.

I have a couple of xyrons. I fluctuate in my use of them. They are great for adhering diecuts/punch outs/etc. Especially smaller stuff.

Okay Jen - give me more details. What size do I want? It will be for small things - cards only. Any suggestions?

Depends - I'd get the smallest that will fit what you want to put in it - so no more than 4 X 6 I'd guess????? The smaller ones are cheaper, as are the refills.

I actually use it way more for scrapbooking - lots of titles, etc. I don't use it at all for cardmaking - I have an ATG gun - way more economical.

Sherry, I am so sorry to hear about your Mom's diagnosis. Staying positive, is the very best thing you and she can do. Good food, good laughs, let the world pass you by...march to your own drum ....I know this will be hard on you. BE sure to take care of yourself too. You can not take care of her, if you do not take care of yourself. I wish someone had told me that long ago.....

Joanne, I have the little "X" Xyron that came out years ago. When I was doing a ton of scrapbooking for the girls,...it was just fine. I used it daily.

I have been seeing some really pretty quilt cards in the gallery and thought it would be a great way to use up some of my smaller scraps and make a great card. I think I'll look around and see about the little "X" one.

I made homemade Irish Cream Brownies with Irish Cream Frosting. I took a batch to my mama's work and one batch to Brandon's work. They are yummy!

I have never liked the Shamrock shakes either. I dno't care for Irish creme either. I had it once and got really dizzy after just a tiny bit. I guess that feeling stuck with me forever!

Preston is adorable!!!!!! But you already knew that!

I was on Facebook one day and got a message from a friend. She said she was in London, has lost her wallet and traveler's checks. Needed money sent. Well she is from England, but I knew she was not there at the moment. Sure enough...she had been hacked. Had to close down her page and not sure what they do to fix it. But she did re-establish a page.

I am tired from work and don't feel like cooking. Grilled cheese?

I had a Shamrock shake and loved it. But it was very sweet and I got shaky a couple hours later.

The thing about shamrock shakes is it is only once a year, so a treat! I had a violent stomach flu while 8 months preggers with Drew and the only thing I ate for days after I could eat again was those shakes.....I was in a bad way and needed the calories....I dropped about 12 pounds in 4 days while pregnant! I'm shocked I didn't go into labor early....

Anywho, grilled cheese sounds awesome...add a fruit or veggie side or tomato to even it out! Or veggie soup.

Nichole- Congrats... YOU did it!
Sherry- Continued prayers for your mom.
Joanne- I agree with Jen. Buy a small Xyron.
Jennifer- Once again a picture of the cutest guy in our group. The cupcakes look good. I guess I am hungry.
For the record I don't like Shamrock shakes either.
