Hi Marie - I'm glad you found us! I haven't been sleeping better due to hot flashes almost every night. It's always something.

Danny just came by to pick up the boys - Conrad seems to be feeling a bit better PTL for the medicine. They are soooooo active, we are soooooo tired but grateful for both of them.

My heart breaks for the people in Japan - cannot imagine how awful this must be.

Watching the devastation and destruction in Japan (and CA, now, too) is so humbling. We were spared from most flooding from our rains yesterday. It wasn't nearly as bad as expected. I am so thankful, but feel for those in Japan and elsewhere!

I need to catch up. I thought it wasn't too bad in California/Oregon? Or Alaska?
I spoke with DD in San Fran, mid day. She said it was a beautiful day and was at work, didn't know what I was talking about.

I am starting to dread bedtime. It is up and down all night. Sweats more than not. I am sleep deprived all the time. I guess that is why I pick up so many bugs.

I went for a walk on Thursday and I wore new socks which was apparently a mistake. I've never seen a blister this bad

You are probably right about catching bugs due to the lack of sleep.
I find that if I keep a list next to my bed and right down all the things that are on my mind before I fall a sleep it helps me. Also, I try not to eat anything with salt for dinner.

OUCH....
Hope it heals fast. Mom Joan says do not pop it. You are more likely to get an infection then.

I spoke to my SIL in San Diego. She is so happy it wasn't any worse. People in Asia felt the brunt of this terrible earthquake.

Bright side to Hot Flashes.....keeps you warm and house thermostat lowered. Maybe not but you did smile and roll your eyes, right?

You did make me smile, darlin'!
I will take your advice to heart. Let Go, Let God is easy to remember, I can use that phrase in my head all day actually!

My dishwasher is making funny noises. I am worried it may have a problem. It seems to be working ok....but I do not like the noise I am hearing.

I think a harbor in northern California/southern Oregon got hit the worst. I don't have CNN anymore, boy do I miss it.

Oh sweetie, just hate reading you are having such a bad time of it - want so much for you to feel and be tons better day and night. Have you had a chance to look into Dr. Carolyn Leaf's book, "Who Switched Off My Brain?" Found the book so helpful and both Reynold and I are now viewing the videos of her seminar which we both found to be very enlightening, educational and encouraging. Dr. Leaf has a strong South African accent and talks very fast but she packs in a lot of good stuff.

Jennifer -that looks AWFUL!!! I hope you don't have to wear shoes with backs for awhile. OUCH.

I have five packages I need to get mailed. One to my cousin, her daugher (who is at college), my SIL, my neice and my friend's three kids' birthday gifts (from last month). I finally got them all packaged and taped. Now to get them to the post office. My cousin's daughter will be happy - it is edible goodies.

Jen - I've had blisters like that - it's called triathlon + wet socks + a bad shoe = mega blister.

It's going to hurt, but you can get rid of it fast. You CAN drain it via a sterilized pin - only make a tiny hole enough for it to drain. Now for the hard part. Put Vicks on it. You might scream. But darn, it works. It's gonna hurt, but it dries it right out.

Springing ahead is nice for the added daylight, but I am still tired! We had a decent number of people at church though. I was surprised!

Have so much to do today - if I can organize and vacuum the living room, I'll be happy enough!

Happy Sunday - missed that hour of sleep that was taken away... but very grateful that it is a sign of Spring coming.

Hey lovely ladies!

I woke up around 11:30 this am! I was flat out tired this weekend! Well, I woke up with a cold brewing too. YUCK! But I can't complain because I've been very healthy this winter.

Did a huge food shop today, 5 loads of laundry and trying to get organized for the week.

Also did a bit of stamping and hope to do more tonight! I've got Hartford regionals on Saturday! Got my badge and I'm excited. I need a little quality "me" time that is FUN!

That sounds horrible! I might call my dr. tomorrow just to see what he suggests. It's still huge and red and raised and filled with fluid.

We had a couples massage last night. The guy I had was blind. Normally, that wouldn't bother me, but he kept bumping it even though I had a bandage on it and told him about it before the massage started. I finally had to say something to him because it HURT!! Of all nights...

Oh Jen that had to be painful and also uncomfortable..

I would go to the Dr. tomorrow, or sterilize a needle as Jen suggested and drain it. Either way...be done with this!

Not sure about Vick's Vapor Rub??I would probably not do that only because I do not know what is in that concoction? If I had more info I would feel better about it.

I got some band-aids specifically for blisters, but they aren't big enough to cover the whole thing. My blister is bigger than a quarter.

Liz - just wondering if you are okay with flooding. I know you said you always become an island town. I hope it wasn't as bad as in the past. I just saw some scenes from Little Falls, NJ - it is unreal to see all those houses surrounded by water. Between that and all that is going on in Japan - it is depressing.
