I just emailed the updated MRAK list to everyone.
My neighbor is coming over this morning to cut my hair. She just cut it about a month ago, but I want more cut off. We kept scheduling it and life kept getting in the way and we're just getting around to doing it. The boys will have fun playing while we're busy. Preston has been running to the window all morning calling his friend's name (his house is directly across the street). I think he's excited - they really like each other
I might need to pour myself a glass of wine tonight. I haven't been indulging because I want to lose weight but darn it was a LONG week! Lots of bad stuff going on at school (not with me, but the kids).

Got my haircut today and some highlights. I had her take 2 inches off the back and it probably should have been more. I'm trying to grow my layers out.

Staying home tonight - YAY! Michael will stop by after work to have dinner with us.
Tomorrow A has play practice and is going to see Disney on Ice with our grandneighbors. It part of the girls Christmas present. I love those kids so much Did I mention we are renting a house with them in Outer Banks, NC in August? Can Not Wait! I play to pack my scrapbooking, too.
Sunday A has all-state practice in the afternoon. We are staying home for superbowl. Munching and hanging out.
How are all my misfit friends doing? I miss hanging out with you all on a daily basis.

I will raise my glass with you! I've been trying NOT to gain weight and actually lost .6 pounds last week. Considering what's been going on with my job and health situations, I consider that a victory.

Fridays are usually our 'date nights' so Reynold asked if I wanted to go out... with the sound of that howling wind.... I will pass.
Really love the warm gas fireplace we put in our addition, it keeps our home so comfy, the central heating never comes on during the day.
our date nights are usually saturday nights. Actually we are going to dinner with another couple tomorrow night. Three of us have February birthdays so we'll celebrate them.
We also have a gas FP in our family room. We don't use it all that often - not sure how much it would increase our bill. But it sounds like a wonderful idea for tonight!

We're doing pizza and a movie night. I am beat. I feel like I am getting my oldest's cold. I have some school work to do too, but I just am feeling "done".

Our gas fireplace bought was a great buy and it is very efficient.

Last week was the full moon. But this week seems to have been bad all around for so many people. Just glad it is the weekend.

The wind finally seems to have calmed down here. I don't know if they will pick up again tomorrow. We might get some more snow this weekend. We didn't have any last night so I'm not going to complain about anything.
We are currently at -15-20 below... could be why ppl are a bit done in!
There is so much illness, I can not believe. Everyone, literally is sick...if you are not, count your blessings. I have spoken to adults with fevers as high as 103.6 for several days... wow. Very scary and weird. I don't think I had a fever that high since I had the German Measles as a child!!
In the day, you would keep your child home for a week, even two. I do think much of the problem is that ppl do not stay home...everything is spreading like wildfire. Pressure from employers and our culture...make ppl feel bad or weak for not showing up.
There are minimal employees, due to the economy.. so those left have to take on the load. Ppl are stressed, exhausted and refuse to stay home or go to see their MD's for fear of taking even 2 hours off of work... It is seriously a concern.
I just heard a report on the flu today. Last week PA had registered 6000 cases. This week it was down to 3700. PA might have peaked. But there is so much else going on. I'm hoping and praying we stay healthy here. Bill and I have had issues with our backs, but not the rest.
Got my hair cut and it feels soooo much lighter and better! My eyes were bright pink this morning so I decided to wear my new glasses today. I was brave and took a picture even though I HATE having my picture taken. The flash is a little bright, but here I am!!
Preston woke up last night coughing again. It was scary because it sounded like he was choking and gagging. After medicine, potty, several drinks of water, Vicks and lots of TLC, he finally fell asleep which meant I could go back to bed. I'm dragging this morning!!
Brandon's in Denver this weekend. I'm dropping Preston off at Grandma's house and I'm going to a home party with a friend. It's for Mila through Lifemax. I've never heard about either one, but I love home parties

Yeah, I feel like crap too. I didn't sleep well. And my teeth all hurt from the pressure! I have so much I wanted/needed to get done this weekend too! I'll take several colds in a row over the flu or puking bug any day so I will try not to complain!

Jen - I was just saying the same thing to my friend yesterday. I'm so thankful we haven't had flu or stomach virus (hoping it stays away). But colds can bring you down, too. Especially if you have one right after another.
Jennifer - make sure you tell us about this party! I've never heard of them either. I'm trying to decide what to do in my bedroom. It desparately needs the wallpaper to come down. I can't decide if I want to put up wallpaper again or paint. I would love wallpaper but am having trouble finding something I love. I may have to change up some of the colors, too. Currently it is blue, pink, white - very cottagey. And I love that. But I'm seeing more blue, yellow, white. I'm just afraid I'd tire of that too soon.
Hedgie - it is currently sunny, but very cold. Snow is predicted for tonight. Don't know how much. For the next week we are due for a storm, a day or two or clear, then another storm. Don't know how long that pattern is supposed to last.
Jen- I remember that I was always sick my first year of teaching. All those germs form all those houses. It was a long year. I did use a lot of Lysol on all the hard surfaces in my classroom at the beginning and the end of each day! Take care!

Please pray for Dh's mother. She is in the hospital. She has a heart valve issue. If they do surgery she will need to be on dialysis. Her kidneys have not functioned for years. She hates to drink anything because then she has to get up and go to the bathroom. That's why she quit taking the HP meds too! Dh is struggling with what to do. He thinks just let nature take its course and his siblings think she should have the surgery and dialysis.
afternoon, it was snowing earlier today went to class teacher said if we needed to leave because of snow then we would NOT get credit for the class really............sad. but it wasnt too bad, she did let us out earlier than normal. so that was good. it was interesting. we have off next saturday and then we only have 3 more after that so not too bad. hope you all enjoy the rest of your saturday.

Joan, extremely sorry to hear about DH's mother. When parents age, it is so very difficult... the roles are reversed, the parent becomes the child and the child becomes the 'parent'. Sending much love and hugs.

Jen, you sure have been having a rough time and am so sorry. Sending bunches and bunches of healing hugs your way. Please be sure to take extra good care of yourself... you are a good mom & take such great care with your boys...to me, being a single mom is a tough job and takes its toll so be good to yourself.

Thought to give you a closer look at one of the old family photos sitting on the mantle taken in 1957 (my mom would write the dates on the pictures). My mom, dad sisters & one brother (youngest brother was born in '5 were at a Sicilian wedding.
People tell me the older I get the more I look like my mom.
I tried to nap but it didn't work. Oh well. Feeling crummy and have a paper due on Monday. I hope I feel better tomorrow and Monday so I can get it done!
