Just caught Beck's Restoring Love Event that we went to in July which was aired on TBN tonight. Goodness, it brought back all the great memories and excitement when we were there. Truly there are no words to describe it and watching it on TV does not do it justice.
The professor never showed up! No email or voice message. She said she sent a text message.....to my landline. Wouldn't it bounce back as undeliverable? I am annoyed. Really annoyed. I think she forgot. If I missed an assignment and didn't contact her I'm pretty sure I'd get an F.
Sorry for the frustration Jen. I try to think everything happens for a reason so hang in there, who knows what is up ahead.... better things.
Jen- It seems strange that you didn't receive the message. I know you were prepared. So the next time meeting will be great because you will be doubly prepared.

I have been awake since 4 AM. It is going to be a long day! Please pray for me. I am in a mess at work yet again!
I have been up since before 4. We had a huge thunderstorm and it blew our electricity out. It came back on right before 5. We received over 2" of rain! WOO HOOOOOOO! We so needed it, especially our farmers and ranchers!

Mammo went fine - no worries. However, I didn't sleep well, we have a front stuck over us and I have a wicked headache. Laying low for the day. Will talk to you all later.
Zoo was fun the other day. We saw a bunch of the animals that I missed last Friday so it was like a whole new experience. The boys had fun and so did the mamas.
Yesterday I watched the neighbor boy. They both had a blast playing and chasing each other around the couch.
Today my neighbor and I went to a baby consignment sale. I got Preston a Halloween costume and a train for his birthday - he's obsessed with 'choo-choos'! He's 23 months old today (and 100 weeks yesterday!). I'm doing a Noah's Ark theme for his birthday (for the '2' theme) and I found a really cute wooden ark with animals. I also got a Pumpkin outfit and a few books.
He's down for a nap and I'm enjoying a white hot chocolate with chocolate marshmallows. It's very cool and rainy today - love it!!
Jennifer- WOW Preston is already 2! It is great that he has a playmate.
Jen- Hope your day went better.

Sherry- I sent back the SS survey. I am happy that you got some rain. We are having warm weather. It is the kind of days I would like to see for 8 months a year and then WINTER!

Everyone at work had a headache today! We were all massaging our foreheads...taking Advil...not one thing helped... Change of seasons and transitions does us in.
As Gayle was getting to know Jim and his family, she was
very impressed by how much his parents loved each other.
"They're so thoughtful," Gayle said. "Why, your dad even
brings your mom a cup of hot coffee in bed every morning."
After a time, Gayle and Jim were engaged, and then they
married. On the way from the wedding to the reception, Gayle
again remarked on Jim's loving parents and even the coffee
in bed.
"Tell me," she said, "does it run in the family?"
"It sure does," replied Jim. "And I take after my mom."
Afternoon! I had a med check doctor appointment today, then ran to Kohl's to use up some Kohl's cash and buy a pair of pants and lightweight sweater IN A SMALLER SIZE. As I was checking out, I got an additional 15% off AND more Kohl's cash. They sure know how to keep you coming back.
After that I went to the grocery store - needed some veggies and Crystal Light and a few other things. They didn't have the CL that I like (a green tea/raspberry). I also realized after I got home that I forgot tissues (really? I've been using them all week) and I need more dishwasher detergent. Yep - typical!
Not sure what I'll do the rest of the day. I might stamp. I think that is a good reward for the last two days.
It's been pouring here all day. Baseball cancelled for tonight! Bonus night with the kids without running around! Games are iffy for tomorrow too.
I think I just fixed my dishwasher. Last night it decided to not drain and overflow. Around 7:30 pm. It was awesome. So there are dishes, towels, etc. EVERYWHERE!
I just unscrewed the drainage thingie and found a plastic sleeve used to keep boys shirt collars upright before sale. Yep, that would block the drain! My back is killing me from wedging my body in there to fight with the screws. I am mad at the boys but in all fairness it'd be hard to see if you put it on a plate.
Hopefully it's fixed so I can load some dishes in there!
I wanted to fill out the questionaire last night but was too mad. LOL I'll do it in a couple of minutes!

Joanne, I hope you feel better soon. I love the Fall weather, but it is hard on my depression. First of all, my father died Oct. 19th, and I HATE to see flowers, and plants, etc. all die. I NEED sunshine, and LOTS of it!!! I have never loved Halloween like other people do, and just have bad memories.
We got home a couple hours ago, and I am pooped!!! Well, It was a "BLAH" of a vacation!!! We didn't use the wheel chair. I told Bob that if we did anything today or yesterday, that I would have to. My hip on the side I had my knee replaced is real bad now, along with my other knee. I don't know what I'd do without my pain meds!!! We had a wonderful Hotel-suite with a great bed.
I went to an Archiver's and another LSS. It worked out great!!! Bob stayed out in the car, and didn't ask any questions!!!
We ate at our favorite restaurant for our anniversary. Oh my....it was fabulous!!! Now, I have to get back on this diet!!!
I am exhausted, and heading for bed now. I hope everyone has a great weekend. I will get my SS list out ASAP ! ! !
Camron & Conrad will be coming here early tomorrow morning. Daddy has a side job and mommy is busy training at a new job. Camron loves doing cards and was very impressed with the cards he made the other day. Conrad enjoys it too.

Cat, enjoy your grandsons today! We came home and just dropped everything, so I have lots of work to do today! Our kitties are happy that we're home, one slept between us all night. I know we need a new mattress!!! The one in the hotel was wonderful. I had 3 great night's sleep! Last night was not so good. Do any of you LOVE your mattress? If so, what kind do you have, and why do you love it?
I'll need a new mattress soon so no idea! My Stearns and Foster has lasted me 15 years. I can probably go another 5. Pretty decent for a mattress. Next time I'll probably spring for a temperpedic or sleep number.
Dishwasher is running! Hope it drains!
Baseball was moved to tomorrow. Waiting to hear on soccer. I have errands to do too and my car is WAY overdue for an oil change.

Good Saturday morn- oops - afternoon! I slept pretty well last night even though I was sure I wasn't going to be able to fall asleep. We got a sleep number bed a few years ago and it makes all the difference in the world for me. I have been complaining about my back lately, but the bed has helped with this a lot. I highly recommend one! A friend got a temperpedic and he was not happy with it. Everyone has their own favorites!
I'm feeling emotionally better today. So I'm happy about that. The scale showed me a happy little loss, too. If my back didn't hurt as much I would be doing more exercise. I need to find some things to do while seated.
It is chillier today than I expected. I have to do some laundry so I have clean jeans. I only have two pair that fit.
Joan - I love that you have been out and about! Hope you are enjoying yourself.
I have done laundry today. Loads and loads of laundry. And I'm still no where near done. I did purposely do some of the smaller loads so that they would get done. They've been sitting there for two weeks! YIKES!!! I think all of Bill's clothes are clean. All of them. I have at least two loads of towels left to do. How? I didn't even think I had that many towels!
Bill spent the day repairing Julie's floor. This builder cut every corner he could and when he put the sub-floor down it was not up to par (probably not even code). So Bill has (over the last 20+ years) added another layer of plywood. Tomorrow he will probably start painting. We can order the carpet this week and have it installed after Wednesday. That is the last bed bug treatment.
So, that has been our exciting day. It has been dark and threatning looking all day, but no rain.
I need to get some jeans that actually fit too. Mine were falling down today. I bought some at Target. I hope one of them fits so I can go back and get a second pair. I will treat myself to some fancy jeans when I get to my goal weight. Hopefully in another year!

I want to switch from my king to a full or queen..and possibly get a sleep number or another special mattress for the older folk!

Really do not fit into jeans....even mom jeans...

Hedgie - I love my sleep number bed! Both girls have one now, too. I told them I'm never buying them another bed. As far as jeans, just keep trying different brands. I like some but not others.
