Full moon was last week. Maybe a solar flare?

Christmas vacation is on abc family! I love this movie. Really makes me laugh

Chuckle....

A couple was Christmas shopping at the mall on Christmas Eve and the mall was packed. Walking through the mall the surprised wife looked up and noticed her husband was nowhere around and she got really PO'd because they had a lot to do. By the time she got her cell phone out of her purse, she was really fuming. You can imagine how that conversation went.

The husband in a calm voice replied, “Honey, do you remember the jewelry store we went into 5 years ago where you fell in love with that diamond necklace that we could not afford and I told you that I would get it for you one day?”

There was a pause and then his wife started crying. Between sobs she said,
“Yes, I remember that jewelry store.” . . . .

"Well, " he said, "I'm in the bar next door."

Have another chuckle....

A PLANE IS ON ITS WAY TO TORONTO , WHEN A BLONDE IN ECONOMY CLASS GETS UP, AND MOVES TO THE FIRST CLASS
SECTION AND SITS DOWN.

THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT WATCHES HER DO THIS, AND ASKS
TO SEE HER TICKET.

SHE THEN TELLS THE BLONDE THAT SHE PAID FOR ECONOMY
CLASS, AND THAT SHE WILL HAVE TO SIT IN THE BACK.

THE BLONDE REPLIES, "I'M BLONDE, I'M BEAUTIFUL, I'M
GOING TO TORONTO AND I'M STAYING RIGHT HERE."

THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT GOES INTO THE COCKPIT AND TELLS
THE PILOT AND THE CO-PILOT THAT THERE IS A BLONDE
BIMBO SITTING IN FIRST CLASS, THAT BELONGS IN
ECONOMY, AND WON'T MOVE BACK TO HER SEAT.

THE CO-PILOT GOES BACK TO THE BLONDE AND TRIES TO
EXPLAIN THAT BECAUSE SHE ONLY PAID FOR ECONOMY
SHE WILL HAVE TO LEAVE AND RETURN TO HER SEAT.

THE BLONDE REPLIES, "I'M BLONDE, I'M BEAUTIFUL, I'M
GOING TO TORONTO AND I'M STAYING RIGHT HERE."

THE CO-PILOT TELLS THE PILOT THAT HE PROBABLY SHOULD
HAVE THE POLICE WAITING WHEN THEY LAND TO ARREST
THIS BLONDE WOMAN WHO WON'T LISTEN TO REASON.

THE PILOT SAYS, "YOU SAY SHE IS A BLONDE? I'LL
HANDLE THIS, I'M MARRIED TO A BLONDE. I SPEAK BLONDE."

HE GOES BACK TO THE BLONDE AND WHISPERS IN HER EAR,
AND SHE SAYS, "OH, I'M SORRY." AND GETS UP AND GOES
BACK TO HER SEAT IN ECONOMY..

THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT AND CO-PILOT ARE AMAZED AND
ASKED HIM WHAT HE SAID TO MAKE HER MOVE WITHOUT
ANY FUSS.

"I TOLD HER, "FIRST CLASS ISN'T GOING TO TORONTO ".

I was SO tired last night and my knee hurt that I went to bed at 5pm!!! I've been awake off and on since about 2am, but didn't get up until 6:30. Gosh, I'm still tired!!! Must be the weather!!!

I need to be productive today! I need to clean, do laundry, and work in my craft room.

Everyone enjoy your Tuesday!

Brandon had to go back to court today to see if he was selected. He knows it's a criminal case and it's estimated to take 3 weeks. He said he was hoping for a 2-3 day case - be careful what you ask for

Morning! It does NOT feel like December today. The sun is shining brightly and I have lots of windows open AND the ceiling fan going! It is warm today - could get to high 60s.

My parents left this morning and now I'm playing catch-up with laundry. I knew I wouldn't get any done while they were here. I sorted and starting some running. At least I will get some exercise going up and down the stairs. We had a good visit. I just wish they lived closer so I could see them more often - like for dinner or a day visit without driving 2 1/2 hours to get there!

I have to start writing out my Christmas cards! I'm usually farther along but that's okay. When the weather cools down tomorrow, I might do one batch of lemon bread. It is too warm to heat up the kitche today.

Hope today is better for everyone.

Linda, have you ever tried emu oil for your pain? Several years ago a friend introduced me to it and it does help alleviate the pain. There are several creams, etc. on the market however, be sure to find ones with the highest content of emu oil. If you can get the purest form, that would be best. So so so sorry you are in such terrible pain, it takes a great deal out of you.

Caterina, Thanks for the information on Emu oil. I had never heard of it. I looked it up, and it sounds like pretty good stuff for a magnitude of ailments! As soon as I get off of here I'm going to buy some. It might make wrapping Christmas presents a little more bearable!

Sherry, even though you don't feel like posting, we know you are there, and you are on my mind! I know how hard things must be for you right now, and I continue to pray for you, your son and your Granddaughter. Remember, we are all friends here, and whenever you need to vent, complain, scream, etc, you have quite a few ears to listen to whatever you have to say. What ever you do, don't hold everything in! I learned that the hard way several times!!!

Take care of YOURSELF ! ! ! You are very important to us! OXOXO

It is awesome stuff... The aborigines in Australia have used it for many years, Linda. There was a great cream which was predominately emu oil, however, the company no longer sells it - had a friend who raised emus and would get the oil from him. You might want to find someone who is raising emus and they may sell the pure oil which would be most beneficial.

Gee, Sherry, so wish I could have you and all the misfits come visit and we could have a good old-fashion pajama party. What an awesome event that would be! Sending you much love and hugs.

Chuckle for today

Meditation

I got so excited when my husband expressed interest in my
meditation sessions.

"You don't have to close your eyes," I explained. "You can
keep them open and focus on something like a candle or a
spot in front of you."

He nodded thoughtfully. "Could it be a TV?"

Long day today.

Worked at the high school. Got some schoolwork done. Then picked up the boys and they had dentist appointments. Then Jack had his lesson. Home for them to go with their dad and I just had dinner. I am ditching book club. I am exhausted and I have sooo much schoolwork to do! I am considering going to bed early and getting up early.

I was thinking of starting to date. I have two potential dates coming up.
I have been nervy and do not want to every take care of another human being again. My experience was so bad.

I think I am going to bow out, as graciously as I can. I get lonely but don't want any more to deal with....

Karen, Dating doesn't mean that you have to take care of him! I remember, I felt the same way after my divorce! I had friends always setting me up with dates. They told me you don't have to marry him, just let him take you out to eat and to a movie, that's all. I finally gave in. There was I guy that I just met for dinner and a drink or two. There were no commitments, and I made it clear that I was just looking for a friend at that point. Just try going out with someone you feel comfortable. Sometimes lunch is a good start. You don't have anything to loose. YOU are in control!!!

Karen how well do you know these potential dates very well? Was single for many, many years after my first divorce and did go out to date but nothing serious. A dinner, movie, etc. and made sure that I knew the guy fairly well and as kindly as possible let them know that I was not looking for anything long-term.

Btw, Reynold and I never dated.... we have a very unique story as to how we got married over 23 years ago.

Joan, We are SO very glad that you are here too!!! Isn't this a wonderful place to come! When you are having troubles and feeling blue, there is always someone that knows what to say to cheer you up. Then when you are back on your feet, you do the same for someone else! I don't know what I'd do without being able to know that some one else has walked in my shoes.

I'm glad YOU are here Joan!!! OXOXO

Joan so glad you are here, chiming in! Hugs!

I only have chatted on line in one of those dating places.
I am very skeptical.

I have postponed everything until after the holiday...when all of my family goes home. I am learning a new job, need to start school, and don't have a ton of time or energy. I will be choosey.

Long story.... however, the short version is we both were youth leaders at the church (Reynold was the Christian Education leader) and we were together a couple of times a week, with youth events, lots of meetings, talking on the phone about various projects, etc. Reynold's daughter was in my teen girl Sunday school class and so wanted the two of us to 'get together' along with others at the church. Well, practically over night late in November, we realized we truly cared for one another and decided to get married which occurred on March 17th. Between all the activities with Youth group, Sunday school class, both having full time jobs, volunteer work & making wedding plans, it left no time for much else; we did have dinner together at a restaurant the week before we got married so guess that was kind of a date.

For the longer version, (there are a lot of more details) you will have to come visit me one day!

Yes, be very choosey.... tell these guys that you have a Sicilian 'relative' who will come after them if they upset you in anyway.

Oh Hedgie, you need to hear the entire story.... I did not date for a very long time and told my friends over and over that I had no intention of ever getting married again - like never ever; so you can imagine how hard they laughed when I told them - they did not believe me at all. Especially when they all knew I was not dating anyone. Reynold and I believe with all our hearts that it was definitely a God thing because only He could have changed my 'guarded' heart.

Cat - I love hearing sweet stories about relationships.

Nikki - I'll have to call the Santa hotline. I wonder if that's his home number or his cell

Caterina - that is a beautiful story! I will have to come visit because I want to hear the long version!!! LOL

Hedgie and Joan - love you both dearly! We have a wonderful group of friends here, don't we? I'm so thankful for all of you. I can't wait to get online each day to check in with all of you.

Jennifer - will Preston talk to Santa? I'm sure it is his cell phone - otherwise an elf or Mrs. Claus would have to answer! tee hee

Chuckle

During my shift as a customer-service agent at Detroit Metro Airport, I was approached by a weeping woman who was so upset that I thought maybe she'd missed a connection or lost a child.

"I left my book on the plane!" she said frantically.

I assumed this had to be a rare first edition of some kind. "Okay," I said. "Just tell me the title of the book."

"It's called 'Don't Sweat the Small Stuff ... and It's All Small Stuff,'" she replied through her tears.

Cat - that chuckle is a little sad! LOL

I got so much accomplished yesterday with all the laundry. Today - not so much. I have taken Julie to and from school and we took a trip to ACMoore but that is all I've really done today. Where did the day go? And what in the world did I do?

I doubt he would talk, but he'd probably 'show' Santa his trains! That's what he does when he talks to Grandpa on the phone.

I was assuming it was a recording - is it a live person?! I'm so new to any of this stuff.

We just got back from a play date with a friend. We went to a park since today is supposed to be the nicest day for awhile.

She had a pizza stone she doesn't need anymore and offered it to me. I've never used one, but I've heard they're great.

Stopped at Hobby Lobby on the way home - Preston LOVED looking at all the 'Timmas' stuff.
