I actually slept well last night!!! Not worrying about the gym I think is what made all the difference. However, we had some thunder storms last night and one of the dogs does NOT like storms. She was pacing and uncertain about where to do.
Hm, wonder what Charlie Sheen is up to now? He really needs to GROW UP, admit he has a real problem and just GET HELP. I feel so sorry for his kids and all the people he is messing with involved with the show.
Good morning sweet misfits, thanks again Liz for starting the new thread.
It was pretty stormy last night and the wind/rain seems to be coming and going today. We truly need the rain - have had some brush fires last week due to the dryness.
Our pastor left this morning for Honduras and El Salvador to teach and his health is not the best. Am amazed at his commitment to travel as much as he does.
Had to share this chuckle.... Reynold and I can relate...
Ice Cream
An elderly couple was watching television one evening. The
wife said, "I am going to get a dish of ice cream now."
Kindly, the husband offered to get the ice cream for his
wife. "I'll write it down so you don't forget," she said.
"I won't forget," the old gent said.
"But I want chocolate syrup and nuts on it, so I'll write it
down," she replied.
"I will get you the ice cream. Don't you worry," replied the
gentleman.
A few minutes later, the old man returned with bacon and
eggs. His wife said, "See, I should have written it down
because you forgot the toast."
I used my step aerobic DVD today. I enjoyed it but have to find a way to slow it down so I can understand the steps. I got 20 minutes into in and then stopped. For a first time, I think that is okay. I'll work on it again tomorrow.
I've now cooled down, had a yogurt and am going to shower.
Please keep the Texas Panhandle in your prayers. Due to grass fires yesterday, we lost about 60,000 acres and 58 homes! Sad day around here! They were still fighting some fires this morning. I'm hoping since there was no wind this morning and at lunch, they were able to contain the fires and finish getting them out!

You bet that is more than ok! It is GREAT! Did you get it at KMart Joanne?
Marie- I really tried to get myself "happy" to go to the gym, but it was really stressing me out. I am feeling so much better now!!! I didn't sleep for two nights and was stress eating. Now I'm doing so much better!!! It is just not right for me - I am okay with some things out of my comfort zone, but apparently, exercising at a gym isn't one of them!
No rain today, but cooler. Julie is wearing a Hawaiian shirt (it's spirit week at school) with a hooded sweatshirt underneath it. It looks odd, I'll admit!
Good for you Joanne - keep it up!! I went to Curves yesterday and cancelled my membership. I hated to do that and it was sad going there for the last time. Now I have to figure out something else to do for exercise.
Dr. wasn't exactly sure what could be causing the pain. He sent me for blood work to check a few things and if nothing shows up, he'll send me for more tests. I also got a wart and some skin tags removed. I had bandages everywhere by the time I left!!
The pain happened again last night right after I had a few sips of a margarita. It was REALLY bad after that. Hope it's figured out soon.
Jennifer - I'm sorry the doctor couldn't figure it out. I hope they find out soon. You are too sweet to be in such pain.
I did another 20 minutes today. I was huffing and puffing a lot more so I must have been a little more competent with the routine! I must remember to take Advil so I can avoid the leg cramps that I had about dinner time yesterday! LOL

We cannot let that continue! How very wrong! LOL. I do hope you get it figured out soon!

NO pain relief agents before exercise - only after. Pain pills before do horrible things to your liver. It's something about how your body metabolizes things during exercise.
Also the very BEST thing is within 15 minutes of exercising eat a little protein/carb mix. It will help the cramps/hurts. Actually the best sports recovery drink is chocolate milk!!! A piece of cheese and a piece of fruit or a cracker (not a lot) will do the trick!

Well, I am working a full day tomorrow. Same class.
She is going on maternity leave tomorrow and the long term sub has a sick kid, so they asked me to come back in.

I'll be praying for you Camie! I hope he gets one!
I am going to give the principal my resume tomorrow! Pray for me too! I had a nice conversation with him today as he lives in the neighborhood, so maybe he'll keep me in mind if a job comes up!
It did go well today. 5th graders are a rare breed. My mom is smiling in Heaven. She loved 5th graders. The boys were all A MESS. Papers everywhere, homework not done, etc. Girls were sweet. And I guess things have REALLY changed. The kids brought in like 3 or 4 snacks and set them up on their desk and proceeded to eat throughout the day. ???????

Whoa, he is really off the wall. He has to still be taking something. I read his father does not stand behind him/support him. I take that to mean his family has given up on him.
Jen-So glad you had a good day teaching! I hope it continues to go well!
Jennifer-Sorry no answers on the pain. Gall bladder comes to mind....??
Joanne, good for you exercising!
Camie- Best of luck to Scott!!
Hey my taxes are done and DD's Fasfa is complete! I grocery shopped today and got laundry done. Made a healthy meal. Trying to feel better. Still feel I have a viral thing going on.....kitty not feeling so well. Talked to the vet today. Planning on starting her on Prednisone. She is hyperthyroid, has renal failure and now some inflammatory bowel....poor baby.
Danny, Magda, Camron & Conrad will be coming back home from Poland tomorrow evening. We will pick up Danny at BWI and will drive his car and ours so he then can drive to Dulles to pick up Magda and the boys. They had to take different flights.
It's a shame that Danny and family had to take different flights to different airports! I'm sure you will be glad they are home, Caterina.
Hedgie - good for you getting the taxes done. I haven't even brought up the subject with Bill. Thank goodness for Turbo Tax though - he doesn't get nearly as irritated and stressed.
Charlie Sheen - I really do think he has something seriously going on and he is being enabled by too many people. You don't "yes" someone with a serious problem, no matter how much money they have and throw around. Look at Michael Jackson - if people had said "no" to him once in awhile, I doubt he would be gone. Not that I was a fan of his either but money and fame and yes-men do not help people!
