Default What do you listen to when you stamp?

I listen to past sessions of "PotterCast" podcasts or Minnesota Public Radio on my ITunes radio station.

I watch films from our movie stash... sometimes action, comedy, musicals. I don't need to look at the TV to enjoy the story.

I get books on CD from the library and that way I can do two of my favorite things at the same time, stamp and read (or listen to) a book! It's a great way for me to keep up on the new best seller list.

I listen to the quietness or the soft gentle sounds of my dogs breathing. It's very peaceful and relaxing so I can concentrate on what I'm doing. The only other noise is the sound of my Expression cutting.

Silence is golden when I create. If there's music, I dance. If I dance, I mess up my coloring, cutting, etc.

They just seem to have the best combination of programs when I want to hear them

A Prairie Home Companion
Car Talk
On the Media
All Things Considered
Wait, Wait... Don't Tell Me!
This American Life

And their news is top notch.

Yesterday, the Giants baseball!!! today, probably more of the same. Sometimes quite, sometimes the TV, sometimes music.

I usually have the TV on most of the time, because I work in my living room. I have two little "nervous" dogs, a toy poodle and toy fox terrier. They are not quite so inclined to bark frantically at "phantom" noises if the TV is going.

Generally it's on one of the cable news channels or sigh...sometimes one of the shopping channels.

I listen to audiobooks... or if I forget to bring my iphone upstairs it's Jason Mraz, Michael Buble or Alanis Morissette. (My CD changer broke and won't eject any of the CD's, so it's been the same music for going on 2.5 years! LOL)

For me, Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, Sarah Brightman ... and the past 3 days in a row, Phantom of the Opera soundtrack I usually create without it - the music gets me to singing and I lose my train of thought, rofl! But lately, I put one of those 3 on and the mojo just flows!

i don't HAVE to have anything on (the radio--teehee). But i do turn it on if i know i'll get to really stamp and play uninterrupted for a while. Then it's anything from country to top 50 to Jack FM (70s 80s and 90s). my craft space is in our bedroom, so sometimes it's just Eric snoring.

That's hilarious. My studio is right below our bedroom and if I'm doing some late at night stamping I can hear Anthony loud and clear through the heating vents, serenading me, bless his heart.

Hey, me too! My computer's in the stamp room, so I'll either pop in one of my fave CD or one of my YouTube playlists. Or I'll listen to the Q92 radio (Montréal) online. On weeknights, they have the John Tash "Intelligence for Your Life" show and he talks about all kind of interesting tips about health and career, with some music in between.

Hmm...I usually watch a movie (Narnia, anyone??!!) but sometimes I'll listen to praise/worship songs, radio drama, movie soundtracks (the one from the new Emma movie is the BEST!!), or whatever else I'm in the mood for!!

Much as I love music, and listen to it as much as possible, I need it to be pretty quiet when I'm stamping. I'm not very good at the multitasking thing anymore, and cutting paper seems to require a great deal of concentration if I'm not going to make mistakes.

Julee, I think you should make a new CD changer a present to yourself for Verve's anniversary!!

I watch The Daily Show/Colbert Report/Friday Night Lights on hulu, listen to Pandora, or watch some quality TV on DVD (e.g. Sports Night, Arrested Development, Firefly, Veronica Mars).
