Question Question of the Week: Where do you find inspiration?

When I was in art school, I was told that you could find inspiration anywhere. Nature, magazines, movies, and especially people.

With all the different places to look for inspiration, I'm becoming a wee bit overwhelmed. There are so many places that give eye candy, like Pinterest, it's hard to stay focused to actually start creating. I would love to look in just one or two places for inspiration. I look to blogs for my inspiration. My "flipbook" app on the ipad is where I go now. I find it's great to put all the blogs I look at in one easy place.

Where do you go? Any blogs in particular?

There are tons of ideas online, but that can be overwhelming for me.
When I have a specific stamp I want to use, I go to the catalog I bought it from and check out their sample... it's usually a great starting point, whether I copy the color or the layout or all of it completely.

Ok, I took the poll...I'd say I'm mostly a Pinterest/Blog/SCS person! I'm really glad to see how many of us are stalking blogs. With all the other sites out there (especially Pinterest), it's good to know our blogs are still worthy and worthwhile. Sometimes it seems not so.

Alma, I have a new Samsung Galaxy S3 phone and have seen that Flipbook app (in fact I think I have it), but I never have used it. I wonder if it can be downloaded to my Kindle Fire HD. That's a brilliant idea to peruse blogs with it!

It's an awesome app! I love it. Makes me feel like I have a handle on all the blogs, when before I was totally overwhelmed

I'm definitely a blog girl, followed closely by Pinterest and then the SCS gallery. I love the extra info that blogs provide. With Pinterest, I love being able to organize cards made with TCP stamps for example or an awesome sketch or color challenge.

I don't buy near as many magazines like I used to. I have less clutter now!

I know that I am late to the question, but I voted blogs. I put them in m google reader which makes it easy to organize and read them.
