Question Question of the Week: What is your favorite trend?

I've been stamping for over a dozen years and I've seen a lot of trends. Copic Coloring, Paper Piecing, Shadow Stamping, Watercoloring, Buttons, Owls, Big Ribbons, Litttle Ribbons, Sewing, Subway Art, and Chalkboard Stamping, to name a few. Of course, there are many others.

Currently, my favorite trend is Chalkboard Stamping. I love how easy and forgiving it is and I see it everywhere. In advertising, newspapers and yes, stamping. Funny, thing is, lots of schools have gotten rid of their chalkboards, but, chalkboards are big, everywhere else.

Here is a card that I cased from Jen del Muro using two different ways you can do chalkboard art.

What is your favorite trend?

If I could find my desk, I might be in tune with the trends. I'm just wanting a little creative therapy time.

With a messy desk, I'd say you were ON TREND!

Watercoloring for me. Hate that SU is discontining their crayons.

I am trendy too because my craft table is a disaster. I'm hoping to get some time to get it cleaned and straightened up tomorrow. I voted for Copic coloring - it really doesn't seem to be slowing down.

I go back and forth. I really love the chalkboard look, and my Copic markers are still near and dear to me. However, on my card for my blog tomorrow, I went back to my Prismacolor pencils!

I've nauticed the nautical look seems to be big in scrapbooking supplies lately. I've seem lots of patterned papers and embellishments with anchors and such on them. This might be my favorite new trend, although a lot of the other choices Alma gave are trends I like: Chalkboard, subway art, owls. I also like Copic coloring, paper piercing and sewing but while the other trends will fade away, for me, I expect those to remain a staple in my personal crafting repertoire.

Fun question!
