Talking Question of the Week: What is your favorite embellishment?

Embellishments are one of my very favorite ways to dress up a card or project.
Adding a button or a ribbon seems to elevate that card so much more special, too! Like these cards by Susan Liles . She uses ribbons and buttons and a rolled nest made using our Rolled Nest CutUps . She even stamped out a bird and made that into an embellisment.

I tend to reach for ribbon to embellish my cards, first, or rhinestones to add that bit of sparkle and also to cover any little smudge.

What is your favorite embellishment?

I'm really big on bling and go through a ton of rhinestones and pearls. I like everything that sparkles so a lot of my projects are simply not complete until I've added a glittery touch on it.

Ribbon comes close behind. I have a vast collection and I like the texture and dimension it adds to a project. I used buttons quite a bit, too, but I might just be going through a phase with those.

I love me some glitter/bling! I love how it can just add that extra little bit of something to make a card special! I love ribbon too, but more so when others use it. I am never happy with the bows I tie, or I'll already have layers adhered when I'll have the idea to add ribbon.

Anyone that knows me knows that I love BLING! A few well placed little rhinestones or pearls can really add a pop to a card. But I do also love ribbon, buttons and twine - Divine Twine to be exact - love adding a bit of color with pretty twine!

I think bling (gems or stickles) is my most used. I love ribbon and buttons, but most of my cards are mailed, and they can get bulky fast. Fortunately, TCP's twine and seam binding are pretty thin so they go in my "must have" bag when crop packing.

For me it's charms. I love charms. and of course I love using divine twine for tying them.

HA! I WISH I could make bows like that. Those are Susan Liles' cards! If I ever get her in a room with a spool of ribbon, she is not leaving until she shows me how to make her bows so pretty.
