*****Full******TCP fans only! Is there interest in another ATC swap?

Just checking to see if there would be interest in an ATC swap? I'm thinking 9 + 1 (as I will be wanting to play along too)! If we can get interest together, I am thinking a mid May due date (so we'll have time to receive and play with any new TCP GOODIES)!

these little pieces of art you would make and embellished with dies, bling, buttons, twine, crystal effects, etc. Just your best quality work!

Let me know if there is any interest!

DESCRIPTION:
Standard rules for ATCs -- 3.5" by 2.5" quality cardstock, preferrably two layers. Use your favorite TCP stamp and get your inner swank on! Adorn with any and all of your favorite embellies (i.e. divine twine, bling, buttons, die cuts, glitter, ribbon, etc.) Be sure to include your real name, SCS name, swap name, and any other information that you would like to add on the back of your cards. Also be sure to number the back of your cards (i.e. 1 of 10, 2 of 10, etc.).

Make and send 10 cards -- you will get one of your own back. No need to create an extra for the hostess as I'm playing too!

Here is a cutting template for those of you that have never made an ATC before. This will make the most efficient use of your cardstock. :)

DEADLINE: Due in Hand: 5/15/11

MAILING INSTRUCTIONS:
Place swap items in a large baggie for waterproof purposes. Write your real name and SCS name on a piece of paper and include in the baggie for identification purposes (or you can write on the baggie with a Sharpie marker). Include a self-addressed stamped envelope for return mail purposes. The amount of postage on your SASE should be the same amount that it takes to mail to the swap hostess. To insure that enough postage will cover the returned swap items, include additional postage which will be returned if not used.

I will PM everyone my address around May 1st. If you finish your ATCs prior to then and want to send early, just send me a PM and I'll get you my address right away! My last TCP ATC produced some serious eye candy!

I would also like to find out from each of you if you would like to do a blog hop of sorts for our little ATC swap. I've never organized a hop so I have no idea of the amount of work it would entail to organize it, but I'm perfectly willing if this is something that you all would be interested in. Please let me know as I think that this would be a lot of fun!

I'm so excited to see what everyone creates! That's the fun of being the hostess...I get to have my hands on the ATCs before anyone! :p

jmasse 03-15-2011 10:13 AM

Oh me, pick ME! I love making ATCs! In fact, I should be doing the 35 I have due for Sunday - hmmm, gotta get working! Add me to the list Linda - the last ones I got were awesome!! :)

LSN 03-15-2011 11:18 AM

Got you down Julie! ATCs are always so fun to make and receive.

Here are a couple pictures of the amazing ATCs I received from the last swap! It is so much fun to get a package of cards from some of your favorite stampers!

jennypete 03-16-2011 02:23 PM

Hey ladies! I think I might be interested, but I have never done something like this and really have no idea what it entails (is that a word?? I think so;) I know what an ATC is, but thats about it!!!

Hi Jenny! I will totally add instructions if we get enough interest. I'm currently at a Cub Scout meeting writing this from my smartphone.

ATCs are tiny (2 1/2 x 3 but don't hold me to that right now LOL). you can get 10 from one sheet of cardstock. You then essentially build them like you would a card (I.e. 2-3 layers, embellishments, etc.). Just think of little tiny TCP masterpieces! You then sign andnumber the backs of each one (I.e. 1 of 10, 2 of 10, etc). If you look at the pics of what Julie received back in my last ATC swap, you get a pretty good idea of what goes into one. They are a lot of fun to make!

Would love to have you (as well as some other fabulous TCP fans)!

Linda

jennypete 03-16-2011 07:35 PM

Yeah sure- count me in:) So long as I don't have to make a hundred and open a child labour warehouse to mass produce TCP cards;)

Makalah 03-16-2011 08:51 PM

I'm subbing for now - I'm interested, but want to finish some other projects first. :)

LSN 03-17-2011 08:34 AM

Jenny...I've got you down. No mass child labour operation will be required for this swap....I promise.

Makalah....hope you can join us! I know that you're fairly new to the TCP obsession and I really think that you would have a lot of fun making them.

Linda

jmasse 03-21-2011 05:01 AM

Ok, I'm bumping this one up! I'd love to see all you TCP fans sign up for the swap, ATCs are quick and fun, AND you'll get back some amazing cards! :)

So let's add a little extra fun shall we? For all those who sign up for the swap, I'll do a random drawing and send one swapper a little treaty treat treat. Who's in?? :p

deborahmegan 03-21-2011 05:33 AM

Oh, I'd love to!! I love making ATCs and adding them to card fronts or putting them in a frame! :)

nancyt 03-21-2011 06:32 AM

Yes please. I missed out on the last one.

stampinjewelsd 03-21-2011 09:31 AM

I'm so in for this one! Please sign me up! I signed up for the last one but I had to back out due to my grandmothers illness.

LSN 03-21-2011 05:52 PM

Deborah, Nancy and Julie...I got you all down! :p

Looks like we've got a wonderful group so far....only 4 more spots to fill!

I thought of something else that we could do that would be fun (if people would be interested). We could set up an TCP ATC blog hop and post the deets here to the forum. That way everyone can see what fun we had! Let me know if this is something we would want to do.

Linda

jennik 03-21-2011 07:08 PM

ooooohhhhhh I want to play!! I have just ordered some TCP stamps!!
As Megan can tell I will whine a little bit about the size, but just get me some wine and I will be fine. ;)

jennik

LSN 03-21-2011 09:22 PM

Got you down too Jenni! ATCs are absolutely fun and addicting! The size can be challenging until you get the hang of it! You should go back to Sony's gallery and see all of the ATCs she made for my last swap. She made all different ones just using up scraps. They were all heavenly (heck...the whole swap was heavenly)!

Linda

stampinjewelsd 03-21-2011 09:30 PM

The TCP ATC blog hop sounds like a great idea Linda! Just as a side note, try to say "TCP ATC blog hop" a few times! LOL

jmasse 03-22-2011 04:17 AM

Oh that's a great idea Linda!! That'll be so much fun to hop around and see everyone's works of art!!

I'm in Linda. I love ATCs...remember when Taylor used to host them all the time? Mostly A Muse but others too. I think that's when I made the grill one for TCP. Lemme find it and post that here...

leigh obrien 03-24-2011 12:48 PM

That was a cute one...if I do say so myself! And look, hardly ANY coloring at all. Ahhhh, remember the days?!

jennypete 03-24-2011 02:41 PM

Love that Leigh!!!! So freakin adorable! If you swap anything even remotely cute as the 'grill' then I'll flip my lid;)!! Ack!

LSN 03-24-2011 02:45 PM

I'm one of the proud owners of your little "Grill" ATC! It sits proudly in my 7gypsies ATC holder!

As always, I would love and be honored to have you in my ATC swap! In fact, I'm putting you down before you can change your mind! LOL!

Linda

leigh obrien 03-24-2011 03:37 PM

Awww, shucks...thanks there gals!

susiestampalot 03-25-2011 06:56 AM

ok ok, twist my arm! it's been FOREVER since i did an atc swap...i'm game! thanks, linda!

TruCarMa 03-25-2011 07:49 AM

Is it too late for me to join in? I haven't done an ATC swap in... well... years, I'm thinkin'! And never one that was totally devoted to my favorite images of all time... How can I resist?!

LSN 03-25-2011 08:46 AM

I am SERIOUSLY bouncing with excitement! I will put you both down.

Linda

LSN 03-25-2011 08:49 AM

I'm at work, so when I get home I'll update this thread with all the deets but we have an AWESOME swap group (including some of our TCP idols)!

Linda

jennypete 03-25-2011 02:38 PM

I am pretty excited to Linda!!!!! Can't wait:)

LSN 03-26-2011 06:10 PM

Just added the deets in the very first post with all the swap "rules". If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to let me know.

nancyt 03-27-2011 07:56 AM

Thanks Linda! I need to put my thinking cap on for this! Oh, and a blog hop is fine with me.

stampinjewelsd 03-27-2011 10:12 PM

Everything sounds great Linda! I'm in for a blog hop too! The May 15th date leaves lots of time for the new goodies to arrive before I start on the ATC's!

jmasse 04-04-2011 10:20 AM

Ok, now that we have a full swap - woo hoo! - time to pick a winner in my little challenge!! How about a {Little} Divine Twine in the 3 new colors?! Sound good??! :)

So, I asked my 6 year to pick a number 1-10 and he said . . . . wait for it . . .

6 (of course!!) ;)

So our winner is Julie (stampinjewelsd)

Congrats Julie! PM me your address and I'll get your prize hopefully this week!

Now, it's time to get working on those ATCs! Have fun everyone!

I don't remember all of those, Julie. I'll have to go back and dig around for them and look again. So cute but I must admit to being partial to that purple whale...a-dorable! Do I have that one? hmmmmm

For anyone who's never done an ATC before, our very own Jen del Muro has a tutorial in the resource section you can find right here. This is what I used to make all the ATCs I've done. While I don't have any TCP to share -- yet! -- here are a few of my previous ATC creations. Hopefully they can help get your wheels turnin'...

Going to start thinking about mine now... this is so fun! :)
