Default CLOSED/RECIEVING** ANNIVERSARY, WEDDING, OR BRIDAL SHOWER CARD SWAP* DUE JAN. 16TH***

I seem to struggle every year to come up with anniversary cards for all my family. So I would love to see what you all come up with for that challenge!! I thought bridal shower and Wedding would also be a great addition to the swap since I seem to need 2 or 3 of those every year too!! This is the plan, instead of individual catagories, it will be a mix up. When you sign up designate what catagory you will be making. I hope to send back to you all a variety of all three catagories. Hopefully, this will get you set for a year of Wedded Bliss!! LOL!

6+1 Full Size cards (5 1/2 x 4 1/4) or square or long full cards work too!! NO ENVELOPE REQUIRED! You will recieve 6 cards back, +1 is for the hostess (moi). You will not recieve one of your own back in return, so please make extra for yourself. Please feel free to sign up for more than one spot, a different card is required for each spot.

NVR: Minimum 2 layers of quality cards stock, like Stampin Up. And one embellishment. There must be stamping on the card somewhere. You may include a recipe on a removable piece of paper if you like, this is not a requirement.

POSTAGE: Please place your cards in a sealed baggie for waterproofing purposes. Please include your SCS name, your real name and address. Include a SASE with TWO extra postage stamps to return your cards to you. Please NO METERED MAIL!!! You may use priority mail if you prefer, just send a priority stamp and label and I will provide the envelope.

DUE: January 16th, 2009!! Please get it to me by this date!! Any late swappers, your cards will be returned to you unswapped! I understand things happen in life, please let me know ASAP if you are unable to participate in this swap once you have been given a spot. PLEASE, also speak to me prior to expressing your cards to me, I am sure we can work something out!! Canadian swappers welcome, please just PM me and we can work the postage out!!

Send to when finished:
Rhonda Syverson

cuttlebug sounds fun!! I just got my side kick about a week ago and I absolutely LOOVE it. I got it 30% off at Archievers. It takes all brands of dies, which I really like, because I have about 3 different brands of alphas!!
Enough advertising thou...maybe I will go finish up some scrapbook pages and take a few more off my year end goal !!! Have a great Sunday, may I also complain that it is SNOWING outside YUK!!!

I talked to bf last night about getting a bug.
I was telling him that some girls have had trouble getting Cuttlebugs/related items from Mikes with Cupons because there's a Cricut exclusion, and that the consensus on SCS seems to be, ask for the manager, cause a rukus and you'll probably get the deal - since Cuttlebugs aren't excluded.

So he says "do you want me to go in there and make a scene for you?" ~ So I"m imagining bf, screaming about cuttlebugs at Micheal's...... he's 6ft 3 and 250lbs with a beer gut..... "I WANT A CUTTLEBUG!!!!!" LOL!!!!

I"m thinking about it...
I really just want it for embossing. I was also considering springing a bit more to get the Big Shot from SU! But its so much more expensive! I really would just be doing mostly embossing with it.

Well, the cupon expires Nov. 1st.. so I have until then to decide what I'm spending it on! I'm definately going to buy something! LOL

Before I bought my big shot I did a thread on SCS asking people what they liked better and why. Several people had the cuttlebug and liked it. I did have a few gals tell me that they had orginally bought the cuttle and then ended up with the big shot because it was so much better quality, and they used it enough to need the difference. I used to use the old pull down handle (dinosaur) sizzix and I hated using it so much that I never used my stuff. I had one lady tell me that she had even cut leather with it. I know I am glad with what I got! I suppose it really just depends on how much you are going to use it.

Hmm.. I'd probably only use it for embossing mostly.
So spending the $$ on a Big Shot is probaby not a good idea. Mind you, you can cut through so many other materials with the Big Shot. But yeah, maybe I'll just start with a cuttlebug.

Sounds like you've talked yourself into it!! LOL!! Enjoy! Maybe just take the bf with you for intimidation factor. He can start flexing muscles (of maybe more then one sort) if they give you problems! LOL!! Does he even know what a cuttlebug is? I would be impressed!

I have the Cuttlebug and LOVE it! I just got a set of Nesties and they work perfectly....I also have sizzlets and sizzex dies and they work great too...........

I belive there is a sandwhich list for dies with the cuttle bug listed in the tips forum............for the price, you really can't go wrong for just starting out!

i have heard of that list and would definately find and use it if I got one!

yes, he DOES know what a cuttlebug is, kinda. He knows what it does. He wouldn't know what it looked like or where to find one. He also doesn't always remember its called a cuttlebug.. sometimes its a "the bug thing" or "what's that cricutbug thing?"... lol at least he tries!

I am trying to clean out and organize my stampin/scrapbook room. I have cleaned out a lot but there sure is a lot I don't use too! YIKES!! It feels good to have it done though!

hehehehe, There is a reason that I love working at 3pm. I am an night owl so getting home at 1200 really isn't a problem, until someone little comes knocking on my door at 7 am. Its a great thing dad is a morning person. I can hardly function before 10am... I don't know what I would do with a morning job!!
