Butterflies Everywhere, third annual swap due 12/05/13
Butterflies Everywhere 3rd Annual Swap - Due December 5, 2013
In memory of my son Jared Scott Hart 8/10/01 - 12/05/01
and my brother Steven Allen Baker 8/28/63 - 7/28/13
I am changing the meaning of my swap a little bit this year. The past two years I had my swap due on my son's birthday. This time, I'm having it due on the anniversary of his death, and to help us get through the holiday season this year with the recent, sudden death of my oldest brother. I've always knew the importance of butterflies with death, but when we got home from hospice 2 weeks ago, just hours after my brother passed away, there was the most beautiful swallowtail butterfly hanging around my parents butterfly bush that morning. We saw it, or another one like it, for over a week. We have to believe that was a sign.
*In memory of my son Jared, born 16 weeks premature. He was so beautiful and precious but was only with us a short time, just like a butterfly. I'd like to keep the tradition going and fill the house with butterflies everywhere through this holiday season.
We spent four months with him in the hospital, and even though we couldn't keep him here with us, he taught us so much about life in his short time. We are truly blessed, he is with some wonderful people in heaven and we know he is not alone. Though we miss him dearly God has given us three healthy beautiful girls that we get to spend everyday with.
He started feeling some pain, like a kidney stone. Started treatment and testing to have it removed, they found his massive cancer tumor throughout his lower abdomen. He had an intense infection, fed by the cancer. Two weeks after his cancer diagnosis, we were in hospice for 2 1/2 days. It went very quickly. A month before that, he didn't even know he was sick. We are grateful he is at peace and will miss him dearly. He was an avid bike rider, and photographer. Took thousands of pictures including many, many butterflies.
Everyone was so supportive of my idea last year to start this swap and has encouraged me to continue it on. I was so thrilled to get so many beautiful cards last year and my girls really enjoyed all the happy mail, too. This year, I'll be sharing them with my mother as well.

2 Sets of Full cards for me please.
Linda--there is an issue with changing the titles in the swap and BST threads. You can change it and it shows that it is changed in the title right about your thread, however it is not being changed in the main title that is posted in the swap thread forum. It has been that way for over a month and they are struggling to find out what the fix is.
Linda, please excuse the previous post under larfay. I'm using her computer and forgot to log in under my name. Please sign me up for full cards. I may take more later. Keeping you in my prayers. HUGS!!
Location: In the Forest with my Forest Friends, of course!

reminding us that there are some Sneaking Criminals in the World!
It was a game of hide-and-seek.
According to authorities, a suspected speeding motorist twice eluded cops, giving himself enough time to “disappear.” When cops caught up to his car, which had stopped, it appeared to be empty. But as they were leaving, he took off again.
They gave chase, and the same thing happened.
They finally realized that the suspect, who was busted on a drug rap, had been quickly entering and exiting the trunk.
I was so sure I had added my name to the list but as I see it was all in my imagination... so could you please add me to the full card and the Butterfly candy, one spot each.....
A few weeks ago I attended a Butterfly release.. The Hospice Society had a fund raiser were you could buy a butterfly for $25.00 in memory of a loved one and then at a designated time about 500 people let them go.. It was beautiful to see all those butterflies heading out over the lavender fields,, It was held at the Lavender Farm. Apparently there is a butterfly farm at the coast and they provided them.. they store them in little boxes over ice and then just before release time we could get our little box with butterfly inside. very cool....
