Wow Nikki...you gotta a serious list growing here!!! Good for us lots of colorful creations! Will you have a page of everyone's card(s) on here? Someone did that for a beach swap last year--thought it was neat to see what everyone did--variety of styles and techniques!

muscrat (Kathy) recieved your Beautiful cards today love how u did that did all of the cutting take awhile?
It took a while, Nikki, but I cut them all out at the same time, so the assembly went rather fast. It helped that this was only a 3+1 so that's why I went with a little more time consuming card. Glad you liked them.
Hi Everyone--hope all is doing well this fine evening! Off to assemble name tags that look like a 1960s 45 record--I'll post a picture when I am done (if I can stand to look at them any longer har har)...I am making them for my sister's 50th bday party this coming March--she lives in England...I am making 75 of them....

One cool idea that we do in another swap is for each of us to upload our cards and put them in a gallery...You name it whatever and give us a code (I don't know how to do this myself--I just tag along with my swap people and know how to upload my cards) But, this way we can see everyones and leave a lil' love your card message!

Here are the 45 records I made for my sister's 50 b-day party (in England--she just happens to be a Beatles fan too)...along with the start of her B-day card with other trivia in that time period--Note to all you creators....If you cut/paste a photo onto adhesive paper--you can make a pretty cool collage--I framed each picture with my word doc format frame thingy...Happy Birthday Janice 1962! (Her B-day is March 18th) These are on their way to England!

OH...<twirl>....I found this goofy MickyD's toy as my new avatar!!! She makes a funny noise when you wind her up and she goes in circles...not sure who the cartoon character was at the time...but she always made me laugh!

How did you make those records? They are soooo cool. I also LOVE the beatles. I actually thought you used real records and thought to myself "Oh no, she used not 1 but 2 of those records? How could she?" LOL Then I read it again and you said you made them. HOW?????

I started this project by Googling a picture of a record/album. I found one-it was perfect--but then I got to thinking about printing them (since only 4 fit on a page 8.5x11 and I needed 75 of these--major expense in the INK dept) mind you I was doing these for FREE for my sis--and this was only the printing process...so I ventured out to the party stores and found these records that were 3.5" and well....all I did was 'doctor' them up to fit our theme of the 1960's and Wah lah...quite easy once I bought some punches (on sale @ Michaels) to back them with more card stock!...They look pretty REAL huh? They are card board! Light weight--so people can wear them comfortably at her party! I only hope my darlin' sis likes them as much as I do! Fun huh? So the moral of the story is...look outside the box to save major ink/paper/cardstock...the actual records cost me only $20 for 2 packages!

Donna...the other photos are copy/pasted to adhesive paper--so I could create a collage...I am going to make one heck of a b-day card for her with this 2 sided inset part of the card...I was going to mail her some Lifesavers and other 1960s things to bring her back to her childhood! Plus, she lives in England so none of this stuff is there to begin with!
