Patti around....I am perusing the SU catty....looking at WHITE card stock...what do you all use again? I know I have asked this question 100 times....good heavy weight white is what I am looking for!

My favorite white cardstock is PTI. Nice and heavy. Of course if I am going to color with my copics, I like the x press blending or cryogen.
Just got back from seeing "Rock of Ages". I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. If you like the 80's music, you will like this show. Tom Cruise did an amazing job.
Then I came home to a wonderful package from my SS. She put alot of thought in to each of my kits. The first one was summer and I love all the DSP, cards, ribbon and box that all matched. She included the Splish Splash - A Citrus Bath stamp from House Mouse which I can't wait to use.
The second kit was patriotic and I am going to send out 4th of July cards because of this kit. Love the paper, embellishments, stamp and of course my favorite Bit O Honey's in the cute pail.
Thank you so much SS. This was so fun to open up and find.
Now I am off to clean house so I can come back and have fun with my new kits.
Tracie...........adorable kits! Love the themed goodies! Have fun! I can never find a lemon/orange paper fruit theme when I need em! You'll have to tell me what brand they are!

Great kits Tracie. They look like a lot of fun. Do you use yours? I am so bad, still haven;t used my new stamps, guess I want them to stay new for awhile. I am going to have to make myself open them up and use more than the leaves. I just like to look at them for awhile. I still have one from last go round unopened.
Have a great weekend. I'm going to a cookout and a birthday party at my Granddaughte's.

&*%&*^$^% COMPUTER!!! And DH won't buy the new one yet!
Had to pop in to say thank you to my secret sis for my June package which arrived yesterday!! Oh My!! Sis, you were so very generous! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! One kit was loaded with all kinds of pink everything; ribbons (loved the ruffled plaid!), rhinestones, tons of all kinds of flowers, pearls, oh wow! And a new Wizard Tilda stamp!! The second kit was green themed, a full roll of green ribbon, green pearls, the cutest kitty charms, kitty themed paper, kitty images (love those Fluffles!), a brand new kitty stamp, tons and tons of papers. Sis, I can't believe what a wonderful overstuffed package you sent! Oh yeah, and my awesome sis sent me my FAVORITE candy, a Milky Way Simply Caramel bar. It arrived unmelted, but if I get to post pics later, it won't be in the photo, cuz I gobbled that yummy right away!
Sis, thank you so much for your generosity! Everything you sent is so "me", it's as if you having been peeking in my craft room. Thanks so much!

hoping the computer stays on long enough for me to share some good news...
Son and daughter in law called yesterday evening to do some "Face Time" on my iPhone and showed me an ultrasound picture of our next grandbaby!! This will be their first, he/she is due to arrive on February 1st, which is my son's birthday. I am thrillled
Susanne - It doesn't say any where on the paper what the maker is of it but I have to agree. It is just so darn adorable. It is going to be perfect with the House Mouse Stamp. I wish I could think of themes like that.
Yes, Linda I really try to use my kits. I even found a gold piece of paper that you had sent me a few swaps back and it was perfect for my project.
I really need to post something on my blog. I keep making things at the last minute. No time to take picture or post. Maybe tomorrow. Always my excuse.
I received a wonderful kit from my SS! It's been a very hectic week and it was wonderful. New thickers, an echo park paper pack (yahoo!!!) and flowers and cute papers.
Thank you so much! It was a very nice surprise!
I'll be mailing my kit out asap, we've had some unexpected things happening this week!
Sounds like some great packages arriving! I went to my grandson's birthday party today. My 3 kids and all my grandkids were there, they all went in with the kids and played laser tag. They all had alot of fun. 3 of my grandkids came home with us, it was supposed to be a no company weekend but my Lexi and Annabelle had to have somewhere to stay this weekend so there went that idea.

Hey everyone!! I have found a few minutes of "me" time while DS and DH are off on a fossil hunting trip. I must apologize for being so absent in this round! I should have known better...this is always a busy time of year for me with work, birthdays, and end of school year stuff going on ...and this year seemed worse than usual! So sorry everyone, especially to my secret sisters (both big and little!).
Speaking of secret sisters, mine got a little crazy and sent me an additional package .... which is crazy becuase her packages she sent me were AMAZING and nothing additional was required!!! Please, SS, know that the packages you had originally put together were increadible with some of the greatest items in there ... and your color combos ... ahhhh heavenly!! I have even created a card with the yellow/green kit (a while ago but no time to photogaraph ... maybe this afternoon ...???). That all being said, I do really love all the aditional supplies you sent, more aweosme dp, the K&Co die cuts are awesome, some beautiful ribbon, and i stamps too ... wow - too much!!! I am hoping to get to play some more with all this wonderful stuff!!
okay, I'm heading over to say hi on a few of the other threads .....
That's so pretty Linda! I'd be worried that I'd get ink on it! It's gorgeous!
Congrats Patti, such exciting news for your family!
Susanne the SU Whisper White is nice paper, but not good for copics. It works well for prisma color pencil coloring though. It has a coating on it that makes it hard to use copics, plus I've heard that it is not good for the markers to use them on coated paper.
Hope everyone is doing well. We are down to the last week of school, so everyone is excited around here!
I'm with you Imke ... a bit too fussy for me. I wonder if the copics stay in well or if they come out. I would be seriously bummed out to drop all my copics and then have to re-organize them.
Patti: Yay! A new grandbaby and such a great month to be born in too!
Hello Chickies!
Yesterday, while sitting at the patio table outside,Tom and I were having a heart to heart conversation-ya know, serious stuff, business stuff, family stuff...but more on the serious side of things...out of the corner of my eye...I see one of Farmer Sharon's chickens edging into the foreground (strutting from behind me of where I was sitting)...she walked up to us-stopped-gave us this look....and strutted away. I burst out laughing--told Tom...now that was just funny-where did she come from I don't know....silly-kinda broke the serious chat and that's what I needed anyway!!! haha
I received a very cute "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" die from Cottage Cutz--Scrappin Cottage today--can't wait to break it in--my sister sent it to me--I have never heard of this company before! I went to check out their site--some very cute dies!
I am in a "4-some" swap with my sister Jan, friend Ali and Jan's friend Moira <--they are all in England. It's their first "swap" and we are each taking turns mailing images and so far so good. I want to come up with a clever name for this swap--ya know just to call it something for maintaining all the lovely cards we are making in my computer.
Anyone have any suggestions? So far we have the following and I am just not crazy about them:
Pond Skaters <-bugs on water? eeek
Ocean4
Atlantic International--sounds like an Insurance Company to me
Bling,Paper,Scissors, Create "BPSC"
Sparkling Ocean Diva's "SOD"
Creative Ocean Diva's "COD"
Open for suggestions--something clever...thanks!
Have a fabulous day!

Linda...too pretty-lacy for me! I would love it as a pillow, but have this visual of my markers bleeding or just me being sloppy and ruining it! I love my industrial black sturdy case that Copic sells...so far so good!
Can you imagine the tedious-ness-ness of sewing each individual loop to hold a marker...omgosh-I'd end up sewing my hair into the mix!!! hahahaha I cannot sew to save my life!

Linda - I loved it. It reminds me of something I made years ago for paint brushes. Going to have to dig that pattern out. Would be great for copics. I bought something the other day at a used fabric/quilt store that I have in mind for my copics. Now if I can just remember where I put it.
I thought it was beautiful but a little too lacey. I am sure I would get ink all over it too but it is lovely to look at.
Patti, Congratulations on the new grandbaby! I am sure you are so excited. Can't wait to hear what it is. Keep us informed. You know inquiring minds want to know.

Susanne, I use mostly PTI Stamper's Select; I also like the Gina K Pure Luxury. I bought a pack of that sparkly white that Linda always uses, but I can't remember where I stashed it! LOL I will find it when I move my craftroom upstairs....
Patti, congratulations! How exciting to have a baby on the way!
Sounds like some wonderful packages arriving! I did a bit of shopping for my S.S. the other day....
I had to leave work early yesterday...a crummy migraine/dizziness; still feeling yucky today...I need to go back to bed and sleep it off.

JCI to say hello! I got side-tracked as I was putting my sis's June cardkits together.... my Texas DD and DGS arrived on Monday for a week's visit...DH knew they were coming and kept it a secret! I'm taking Thursday off work to spend a day at our local amusement park with them and my youngest DD and grandkids! I do plan to continue working on the cardkits this evening since they went to visit a friend.
Seven more working days!
Patti, what fun to hear you have a new grandbaby on the way!
Angela, so sorry that you've had a migraine; hope you are feeling better.
I need to fix dinner so hope to hop on and chat later.
Angela I just hate migraines! I have them, all 3 of my kids have them and my 11 year old DGS Austin has them. He is under going tests now with my Doctor to see what might be causing them. I have done a lot of research on them and it is really low the percentage of males that have them. I guess my family is just so lucky! NOT!!!! My son Chris has them more than my daughters and I do. We all take imetrex injections for them. I do hope you get over it soon and are feeling better!!!!!
I am getting down to less than 2 weeks before I leave for my Mom's. I still have so much to do. I have a hard time sleeping so I haven't gotten alot done. We also have all of our grandkids since school is out, with the exception of little miss Annamarie, but she is just 2 blocks away. The kids are all down at Jen's house jumping on the trampoline. They are wore out when they come back here. Nic walked down there to see if Rhys (8years old) wanted to come and make cookies with her!
I should get off of here and see what I can get done!!!!
SS, my amazing package came today. I was so surprised with the wonderful packages inside. I am not even going to try to name everything. It is all wonderful and will all be used. It is also greatly appreciated and loved. Thank you so much. Thanks for the extra leaves too! Love the dragon flies, the frogs, butterflies etc. It really is giving me some good ideas for my reveal for my little sis. Thanks again, thank you, thank you....
I hope this shows it all. Love that drinking cup!

Wow Linda what a great variety!!
Patti congrats on the new addition to the family!!
Vickie only 7 days to go!! It's all downhill from here!! Enjoy your days with family.
Angela sorry about the migraine and
Denise enjoy the time with your mom.
As always I'm looking forward to the weekend. Signed up for a Friday evening crop!! Can't wait!
Wow Linda...have fun with that stash! Looks like a lotta playtime summer to me!
Migraines...eek! Now that I am older (no mention of age here), I can feel one coming on...but I think I must have had them when I was younger--but they were way different...I always sense that I am losing vision in my right eye...as SOON as this starts to happen I pop an Advil...and the transition to the headache is faster-and less intense...So far my K and Shane have only had 1 each...no complaints either. Or they called it a really bad headache so it didn't seem as serious? (If that made sense!)
Okay, get this-tonight the house feels cool and comfortable--by dawn we are supposed to be hit with 90 degree weather...then THurs--high 90s possibly 100 then rain and cool down to 80s for the weekend! And...I still have not bought a bathing suit!!!
See ya all tomarrah!

Angela, hope the migraine is much better. I used to have them when I was younger but its been years for me since the last one but I still remember how awful they are. Dark room, cold rag over your eyes is what I always did and absolute quiet.
I've got to get to bed. Will be back tomorrow...
Vickie, what a great surprise.

THE A/C is on! The trick is to put it on before the house gets hot and sweaty! Plus, the sun is not beaming down on our a/c hanging out of the back window yet!
I have been creating Flower Rosettes out of edge punches and I gotta tell ya...it so much fun and easy to accomplish...check out this blog for a quick tutorial
Ahhh, I'm back! It's been super crazy around here. I suppose that there will be those days/weeks where it's like that. But....
my SS package did arrive!!! Do you believe I opened it in a parking lot, waiting for...something...I forget what now. But, I was just so busy I grabbed it with me one day so that I had a few minutes to open it. LOL.
Thank's so much for the fabulous "Pink Power" kit. I love CC Designs and the variety of pink ribbons is to die for! Also loved the colorful "Summer" package. Those bright colors are right up my alley. I also received the "Shadows and Shading" copic book (eeek!!!) and a beautiful summer card to admire.
I have only had one or two migraine's in my life. They are tough, especially when you have things to do and sleep is the only thing that kills them. I hope you feel better today Angela.
Susanna: I went out to that blog that you posted and it doesn't look like a valid link. I would love to see the tutorial, maybe you can recheck it?
Today we have a cold front and it's supposed to be a yummy 71 degrees (a 20 degree drop since yesterday was 93, bleah). I hope this helps put out the forest fires. We're having a terrible season, there are 2 burning and both are at 0% containment. I noticed yesterday that the YMCA had to move their campers to the fields on my son's school. Can you imagine your fear if your child was in the fire's path?!! Yikes. Makes me never want to send my kids to camp.
Heather: Sadly, it doesn't get any less crazy (just a different kind of crazy). Yesterday my kids were inside playing (no one wanted to be outside when it was 93, go figure) and someone (no one is fessing up) threw a football and crashed it into my antique Grandfather clock. {Sigh} Boys. Your kits sound great tho.
Hey everyone!!
So exciting to see that there are grandbabies being born!! Nothing better than a new babe around the world.
Linda, your package looks awesome - love all the buttons and dies!!
I am heading over to check out the link Susanne, the flowers sound interesting.
Thankfully I've never had a migrane ... they sound horrible and I feel for anyone who suffers!!
I did a rosette search on the website your gave us Susanne and here are all her examples of paper rosette's made using border dies ... they look like fun!! Paper and Fiber Arts: Paper Rosettes
Unless something unexpected happens, tomorrow is our house plastered. The plaster has already been delivered - now need tomorrow "only" come the painters. This unreliability annoys me.
Keep your fingers crossed and please, please, NO rain dances! We need dry weather !
Heather- Have fun with your new goodies !!
Susanne- I´ve not ask - how was your class ? Do you have made a bikini card? I would really like to see it.
Jo- If there's trouble, siblings keeping together . Sorry about the clock. We still have no real summer. I am sending you some rain from Germany we've got enough of it. Crazy world, huh ?
Imke: Sending dry weather thoughts your way. And the clock is fixable. No serious worries there.
I couldn't sleep last night (It was hot and my tummy was upset, grrr) so I stayed up and read last month's BookEndz book: Object of my Affection. I really liked it. If I jump on the reading bandwagon, I COULD have THIS month's book read by the time discussion time comes around. Yay!
I am feeling better; Mon. and Tues. were crummy and yesterday was a bit better. Today I feel almost like myself!
It looks like great packages are arriving!
I have a question for those of you who use digis.... Do you have or know of a program where you can manipulate the images? Like combine images, put wording in a sign, stack images, etc.
Imke I hope they show up to work on your house...I totally know where you are coming from....
Wiggy...for some reason my link would not work here? That's why I Sssspeeelllled it out! hahahaha I figured we all know what (dot) com means right? It never works for me on here..is there some secret to jotting down links? Does it work if you copy/paste it?
Yes dear Imke...I do have pictures of my class projects...<running over to my picture file> Here ya go...I also taught a new technique from "KiwiLaneDesigns" it's a new company that sells these templates to layering --my students loved it--it's an easy way to cut/coordinate a variety of papers--used it in the sand, ocean colors of the red umbrella card (cricut cut umbrella/chair)
