Tracy would like to participate in this round, too. Her Internet is having issues, so she hasn't been able to be online much. It's a cable problem, so the phone is being tricky, too --- grr!
Welcome Heather...I was a NEWBIE a few rounds ago--Patti introduced me to this wonderful crowd of gals--Omgosh....I was hooked instantly! I hope you enjoy Round #7 with all of us!
Angela--Davis' costume is adorable--!

Hello Ladies,
Gabe was so excited that his Mom got to attend his concert. It was great. It was just the beginners, 1st year students. They have already learned 5 songs. I am posting pics of Gabe with both his parents, and one of my other grandson John who is my other daughter Jennifer's son. I hope you enjoy them.
Heather, I am sure that you will enjoy this swap! I sat round 6 out and missed these ladies immensely. Welcome!!!!!!
Ok, so had to correct some typeo's, sorry it was late when I was typing!!! LOL

I prefer (but am not exclusive to) realistic, nature/floral images, not too into "cutsie", but I really use ANYTHING!!
Just for fun, your favorite snack or treat? Our own Linda Palmer got me hooked on "Simply Caramel" bars by Milky Way--DELICIOUS! I also like red Twizzlers.

What a good looking crew Denise! Thanks for sharing them with us.
Way to go Patti! Patti is first with her questionnaire!
Welcome Heather! I just took a glance at your blog and love your organization idea for the card kits you've acquired.
It's snowing here this morning but we aren't supposed to get any accumulation, just a dusting....so it can stop anytime, the dusting has happened, but it keeps on coming down...so looks like a bit of accumulation has hit the ground.
Going to a Christmas lunch and stamping workshop this afternoon; thankfully, I don't have to drive far to attend.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
P.S. Will do my questionnaire sometime this weekend.
Welcome Heather! Get ready for the best swap you've ever been in!! LOL!!
I'm just going to get my questionnaire done now .. or knowing me I'll forget to do it. Besides, I'm sitting here on my favourite chair, wrapped in the best cozy blanket, coffee in hand, Christmas lights on, DS and DH still sleeping which allows me to blog and visit friends with no interruptions and no guilt!!
Cardmaking Likes:
1. I tend to like to create masculine cards or cards with earthy tones
2. Heat embossing - I have a rather limited supply here (only white, clear, gold and bronze) but love it.
3. I enjoy making my own embellishments to put on cards - like rolled flowers, layered tags, etc.
Cardmaking Dislikes:
1. flat stickers
2. I'm not very good at doing vintage so tend to stay away most of the time
3.
Birthdate: December 14
What is your favorite color? I love all greens! and when I stamp I tend to use lots of earthy tones, reds, and greens, browns, ....
Favorite holiday? I love christmas
Favorite stamp company or images you would like to try? I would love to try denami designs, mint motifs, and lawn fawn!! I am passionate about Papertrey ink and have lots of their images already.
Just for fun, your favorite snack or treat? I am addicted to dark chocolate .. the darker the better!! I hear it is even good for you LOL!!
Hobbies? card making, I also enjoy drawing but don't have much time due to card making, I love to bake and cook but don't have much time due to card making ... LOL!! Seriously, I also like to make mini albums once in a while (when I'm not card making! LOL)
Any special info your Sis should know?
You should know that i really have everything there is to have for the most part and also I am a really ecclectic card maker .. which means I will be happy with pretty much anything!! That makes it really easy.
I am always looking for something specific that my Secret Sister really wants/needs but sometimes the responses to the thread questions are so general that I am always left wanting to know more .... So here are some really specific question:
List some of the following:
- What is a colour of cardstock that you like to use a lot but find you never have it when you go to reach for it?
(for me it is grey and red! sheesh, where does it go?? and someone else put textured cardstock - I love the look of textured cardstock but have almost none except perhaps what past secret sisters have kindly sent me!)
- Is there a consumable product you have that you need more of? you know, like your white glitter is alomost out or you are almost out of red line tape, or your YG62 Copic marker is your favorite and you don't have a the refill for it.
(for me, I only have the basic embossing powders - would love a silver and a few bright colours to have some fun with - like maybe red, blue, and yellow)
- Is there a paper line that you love? And if you love it, is that the same thing as wanting to recieve it as part of a Secret Sister package?
(basicgrey is loved here - I have a lot of it but I am always happy to receive more ... it's like an addiction to be honest! LOL oh and Linda reminded me that My Minds Eye is a new favorite paper line of mine .. and October Afternoon is quickly becoming a favouriate as is Authentique .... LOL again - collecting designer paper is an addicition for me!! LOL)
- what is your favorite embellishment you like to add to your cards? And do you need more of that favorite embellishment or not?
(for me, I love adding buttons but have so many buttons I don't know what to do with them all! I think I went overboard!! I also love ribbon and can always use more of that, especially when it matches designer paper or when it is a solid cream or a solid white. I guess twine is another fav of mine but I rarely add it because I don't own very much of it)
Okay girls, do you see where i am going with these specific questions??!! Answer whatever you feel comfortable answering .. but whoever ends up being my Little Sister ... I need answers LOL!!!
Wiggy I like your questions...I had one SS that always sent a lot of supplies along with her kits. I'm talking about glue, pop dots, colored pens you know, things that we use on each card we make. The things you just can't run out of when you are making cards. It so nice to get a nice stock of those things. I'll think about your questions along with Angela's and fill out my questionaire in a little bit.
Welcome Heather !! Great to see a new face here You will have a LOT of FUN !!!
Donelda- Fantastic questions. Iīm like Pat will answer them together with Angelas.
Denise- Wow, Gabe looks so elegant in his black clothes.
We just came from the christmas market. We ate "bratwurst" and "Schmalzkuchen". I donīt the english word for it. It kinda hot sweet buns with powdered sugar. Perhaps something similar to donuts only smaller. Do you know roughly what I mean ? Howsoever, they are so delicious - we ate a big bag. LOL
Thanks for the nice comments about the grandkids, I have to tell you all this about Gabe, he will be 10 in March, his older brother just turned 11 in November and is smaller than him and his younger brother Rhys will turn 8 in June. Gabe takes after my dad's side of the family and is really big for his age and he is also very very intelligent. He reads 4 grades above his grade level as well as doing math above his grade level he is in the GATE program along with his brother Austin. His Aunt Kelsie (his Dad's sister) took him shopping for his outfit to wear to the concert and gave her a $100.00, he got $7.00 back. He is now officially shopping in the mens department, wearing a size 32 mens jeans. He is so smart, the teachers really wanted to advance him in school but because he wasn't ready socially they didn't think it was a good idea. He seems to be well adjusted though.
All of my grandkids are smart, just some are smarter than others. I don't play favorites but you all know that Lexie goes to high school out at our jr college, she passed all her finals. Gabe carries around a book with him where ever he goes, he loves to read and he reads books that are very advanced. He loves reading books about the solar system.
I hope everyone has a great weekend and I will fill out my stuff later!!! Gotta go and fix Nickie and the kids lunch and hopefully sit for a bit!
Thanks for the very warm welcome everyone! I hope to have a fun time with you.
Please fill out the following questionnaire to help your Sis get to know you:
Cardmaking Likes:
1. Ribbons and buttons
2. Dry Embossing
3. Finding non-SU stuff (for variety) that coordinates with my SU cardstock and colors
Cardmaking Dislikes:
1. Flat stickers
2. Really bulky embellishments (charms, etc)
3. Eyelets (I don't use them at all!)
Birthdate: April 15th
What is your favorite color? Personally, I'm a blue girl. Card making, I'm drawn to bright, rich colors (Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Pacific Point).
Favorite holiday? Christmas!!
Favorite stamp company or images you would like to try? Favs are Riley & Company, Penny Black and Stampendous. I'd love to try more The Greeting Farm (hard to find here) or Whipper Snapper. Have also been eyeing Krafty Kimmie.
Just for fun, your favorite snack or treat? Probably licorice (red, black or allsorts)
Hobbies? Other than cardmaking, probably reading or movies
Any special info your Sis should know? Right now, I probably make birthday cards the most. However, I'm starting to acquire more friends with children and am really struggling to find appropriate stamps in my collection for kids and teens.
Here are the other questions too:
- What is a colour of cardstock that you like to use a lot but find you never have it when you go to reach for it? Uh..I keep a pretty good selection of cardstock and monitor it pretty well. However, I use SU and think they don't have a good bright (like lime) green and I was looking for a bright rose pink the other day and didn't have it (like the old Pink Passion).
- Is there a consumable product you have that you need more of? I use my E31 for my large collection of Riley's and notice that it's starting to dry out. I think I'm going to end up getting a second one, just so I have it on hand. I use the fiskars medium glue dots for some stuff and seem to roar through them. And, sticky half-backed pearls.
- Is there a paper line that you love? And if you love it, is that the same thing as wanting to recieve it as part of a Secret Sister package? I use SU DSP because it matches the cardstock, but I also usually buy the papers I love. I love Basic Grey and can't seem to find a really good source of it here so there are definitely LOTS of BG lines that I'd love to try. Those are the only two I can really name by brand.
- what is your favorite embellishment you like to add to your cards? And do you need more of that favorite embellishment or not? Ribbon, for sure is a fav, but I easily acquire it too. Buttons I love, but haven't really found a good source for nice buttons.
Heather, welcome, so glad you are joining us. I sort of "know" you from Wish Rak!
Denise, love the pics. I really think Nickie is your mini me! She's very pretty. Loved seeing Gabe with his mom and dad. Nice pics. And, as I've said before, that little John has the sweetest face!
I love reading all the replies to the questions, I'm so nosey! Donelda, didn't know you loved the darkest chocolate out there, me too! I love very bitter dark chocolate. And hey, good for you, too!
My dh is traveling this weekend, he's in Florida. Since the cast is off and boot is on, he can get around better, still with a crutch, though, and no driving for 5 more weeks. My dad came today for a visit today. I'm really sad that he won't be here for Christmas (he's going to my brother's in KY). I know we have to take turns, but it's a bummer not to have anyone from my side here. Just DH's family. Oh well!
Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. I got two batches of fudge and some toffee grahams made this morning. Need to get the kiddos to bed, so I can hit the craft room.

Here are the other questions too:
- What is a color of cardstock that you like to use a lot but find you never have it when you go to reach for it? Kraft from PTI. It seems like I am always out.
- Is there a consumable product you have that you need more of? I do not have any refills for my copics. I use alot of Memento Tuxedo black - would love a refill for it. I seem to never have enough adhesive. Right now my favorite is My Stik by Scrapbook Adhesives. I just buy the refills. They seem to go a long ways. I also have a Scotch ATG 714 that I buy refills for also.

Wiggy's Room Questions:
- What is a colour of cardstock that you like to use a lot but find you never have it when you go to reach for it? Plain ol' Neenah Black and White. I go through it like buttah.
- Is there a consumable product you have that you need more of? Hmm, I would say buttons. I NEVER have the right size or shape (except white ... I gotta million of those bad boys!)
- Is there a paper line that you love? And if you love it, is that the same thing as wanting to receive it as part of a Secret Sister package? Bo Bunny is my current love. But I like a lot of lines ... the thing I'm picky about is the size of the pattern. I like them to be subdued. Big patterns freak me out! And yeah ... I love getting DP in my Sis package.
- what is your favorite embellishment you like to add to your cards? And do you need more of that favorite embellishment or not? Rib - Rib - Ribbons!!! Do I NEED any more of it ... no but that doesn't stop me from buying more!

Welcome Heather! You will love swapping with these ladies, we have so much fun together. I haven't done a lot in WRAK this year but think we've met on there and in a couple of yearly swaps we did with Angie and Carla. I know I got a lot of kits from you in one of them. Thanks so much. I'm not doing them this year, I got pretty overwhelmed with trying to do too many so limiting myself to this SS one this year and see how it goes. I know you will love this group.

I love to read all the answers to the questions...so interesting to see everyone's likes and dislikes.... I see there is a general "thumbs down" to stickers, eyelets and fibers! I can remember when my stamping friend Sue and I were obsessed with fibers...we wanted to add them to everything we made! It's interesting how trends change....
Had to work the weekend, had a meeting today and then back through Thursday. I will have a couple of days off before working Christmas. I am scrambling to get things done! Hope to do some holiday baking on Friday; my friend told me about Oreo balls.... Has anyone ever tried these? I thought they sounded pretty good. I want to make some homemade butter toffee (like Heath and Scor candy bars) and the kids want to make sugar cookies. Does anyone else's kids put so many sprinkles on them that they are falling off and the cookies wind up crunchy? Ack! I just let them do it...as long as they are having fun...of course, I "oooh" and "aaah" over them!
What is your favorite color? pink is my favorite; but I truly love everycolor when it comes to crafting
Favorite holiday? Every seasonal holiday is my favorite!
Favorite stamp company or images you would like to try? I like them all! I just "discovered" The Cats Pajamas, but any company or image my sis likes, I will like too!
Just for fun, your favorite snack or treat? Twizzlers, JellyBellys, all kinds of nuts, Chex Mix, anything milk chocolate
Hobbies? Papercrafting is my only hobby
Any special info your Sis should know? I have found that if my secret sister likes something, then I will like it too, so please don't feel limited in anyway when putting together your cardkits that you send to me.
Here are my answers to Donelda's questions (didn't see that until after I completed my questionnaire!)
List some of the following:
- What is a colour of cardstock that you like to use a lot but find you never have it when you go to reach for it? any color of textured cardstock!
- Is there a consumable product you have that you need more of? I use a lot of glue dots and dimensionals, and 1/4" ATG tape
- Is there a paper line that you love? And if you love it, is that the same thing as wanting to recieve it as part of a Secret Sister package? I LOVE Websters Pages, Graphic 45, any paper from Donna Salazar's line (authentique or something like that!) and also like to receive it if my sis wants to send; but again, please don't feel limited because I LOVE it all!
- what is your favorite embellishment you like to add to your cards? I love adding flowers that I create from either fabric, ribbon, seam binding, lace, cardstock, etc. And do you need more of that favorite embellishment or not? I can always use any kind of lace, ribbon, seam binding, and decorative brads, bling, or buttons to add to the center of each flower. Also love any kind of Prima Flowers (and Michaels Recollections brand and Hobby Lobby Paper Studio brand); flourishy gems and pearls; I also love butterflies!
