Well I went and had my hair chopped and painted! I think there were 7" strands of hair on the floor when I stood up and did the shimmy-shimmy co-co puff dance in my salon tent! I have to go look at myself again in the mirror since I like to air dry---but it's curly...it's like all that heavy hair is springing up! No more gray for awhile anyway!!! It feels like I lost 10 pounds of hair! YAHOO! Now I have to go check out some make-up--
Happy Easter Everyone! Hoppity hoppin' along here!

Here is a pic from our lanai (balcony) of the beach in Hawaii. It was so much fun!! We are pretty pink but it is either peeling or turning to a tan. We are also very tired!! Luckily I have a few days to recouperate before I have to return to work. I will be back to visit tomorrow once I've had a bit more sleep.
Donelda---welcome back...you poor thing --having to suffer in the heat on a beach like that!!! hahaha..(Lucky you! )Hawaii is one of my things on my bucket list---one of these years we'll get there!

OKay, going to try this again--I just had Shane pop o picture of me---knowing him he shot when I was hugging Muddy or talking...lets go have a look at my pics....shall we? If one is remotely decent--it WILL be my avatar! X'g fingers here!
Happy Easter SS's! Hope you are all having a nice relaxing, peaceful day! Can you believe WALMART is open here? Tsk tsk...I hated to go (and make the workers work more) but I had a list of things for Shane to bring back to school tonight...and well nothing else was open! Hope the employees get double time for working!

Vickie---I kindly asked my DS to take my picture--asking if the background in the shot was "OK"...I was standing in the far corner of the TV room and he was sitting on the couch...Just as he shot the picture, Muddy comes up to me with his tail end facing DS...So, if you could imagine the outcome of this shot...me far away looking 10 feet tall, tucked into the corner and Muddy's tail wagging as he is headed for me....need I say more? I will ask DD to take my picture tomorrow...eye to eye so I don't look like a giant with a tail in front of me!!! hahaha

Susanne, it's always good to have a "Plan B!"
It's a back to work Monday kinda day (blah!)
Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend; I can say that no chocolate bunnies or colorful peeps were harmed in anyway at my house over the weekend. Of course, they know to stay away; if they enter, it's at their own risk! LOL
Hello, all! Due to sick kiddos (we had the 24hr stomach flu --ugh!) and lack of nurses over the holiday weekend, I am even more behind than usual. And that's saying something!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter; our weather was absolutely gorgeous!
Let's get the ball rolling for the next round. PM me if you are interested in playing in round 8. Let me know if there are any special requests, please. I will get the thread up and running before the end of the month so we can make a smooth transition.
Thanks for hosting the next round Jessica! I'll play again and have sent you a PM as requested.
My reveal package arrived today, but I haven't opened it up yet. Claire and I just got back from a walk, so I'll wait until I have some quiet time and then enjoy it! I'll post a proper thank you once it's opened!!
Hope everyone had a great Easter!! Ours was good, but busy. We went to my BIL and SIL's 3 hours south. Then of course there are people who wan to meet/see Claire, so it was lots of time organization! Then back here yesterday for dinner at my moms.
My MIL is supposed to come visit soon. She hasn't met Claire yet. Unfortunately, my DH's Grandmother is having some health issues that MIL is dealing with (she's an only child). I spoke with her this afternoon and I can hear in her voice how tough this is right now...worrying about her mom and not having seen Claire yet. Sigh....
Okay everyone. here I am again. I am having such a hard time getting back on track!! I am thouroughly exhausted. I am not sure if it is the 4 hour time switch, the lack of sun on my body, or if we just plain wore ourselves out on our holiday but I can barely do anything but sit here on my couch and drink coffee!! LOL!! What a whiner hey!!
But I did want to drop in here and say I received my SS package and WOWZERS!! I am pretty sure most of you in the upper states heard me squeeling!! My SS is the bestest! She really really knows me because in my package was Papertrey Ink's Rosie Posie Stamp Set AAAANNNNDDD matching Dies!! OMG!! I was so excited!! and that is certainly not all (although it could have been!). She also included a 6x6 oad if Life of the Party Basic Grey paper (see - she does know me). And funny enough, I had bought 1 sheet of this at my local SS store but couldn't find any matching papers so was struggling to use it ... but not now!! There were also some Martha Stewart tags, awesome crochet ribbon and flowers, some Jillibean soup patterned paper, and some more great embossing powder. There's also a little bag of goodies in it like a coudoroy button, a bicycle charm to match the bicycle stamped image (Hero Arts) and some other great ribbons and buttons and things. I can't wait to play with it all (especially that rosie posie stamp set and die!) Thanks so much SS!!!!
Susanne, I can't wait to see your pic!! (without Muddy!! LOL!!)
Jessica, I'll think about round 8. I am always so torn! I love participating with you guys and always feel so left out when I don't participate. I'll send you a pm with my final decision.
Okay, if I've missed anything awesome please make sure someone lets me know. thanks, off to vegitate on the couch a bit more ... or maybe I can gather enough energy to make something .....

JCI to say hello! I am sooooo looking forward to retirement; it seems getting ready to leave my job is becoming more work than I want! I need to tag files for the fall audit and write responses to the list of "questions" that would go along with the one on one audit, but since I will no longer be there, the dept of ed agreed to the written responses. Always something to keep me on my toes! (wish I would have listened to my DH and taken early retirement that would have been effective December 31, 2011!!) LOL
I've been working on SS April reveal cardkits; I just need to organize them to get the kits ready to mail.
I look forward to this swap--it also keeps the economy flowing in the scrap world--donchya think?
Vickie--have you sent Nikki's B-day swap cards yet? I am finishing up my second batch tonight...Just could not find the perrrrrrrfect ribbon! Isn't that odd--we have all this stuff then have nothing that matches! See, that's where I run into trouble unlike you matchy-coordinated gals--shootin' from the hip leaves you with not enough of something or the wrong color! <bad uncoordinated crafter>
Heather--wow you MIL has not met Claire yet? I bet she is super excited to visit you--I hope grandma is in good shape soon...that's got to be hard--you want to do something but you cannot leave a loved one!
Oh, never got around to having K take my picture--had a crick in my neck when I got up and later on in the day--I laid down on the heating pad--my hair was hysterical--like all smashed to my head!!! haha...It would have been a funny photo--hopefully tomorrow--K is bored because her computer is acting wonky (me thinks she puts waaay too much stuff in it and doesn't clean it out properly)...so hopefully tomorrow is picture day!
Have a good Tuesday everyone!

I'm home and very tired. I know how you feel Donelda, only I only had a 2 hr. time difference that I was just getting used to when it was time to come home. I love being with Denise. Got home late Sat. night, went to church Easter and my two sons, Debra and Alex, 2 Grandaughters and three Greats went with us. It was a happy day for me.
I am also way behind on the Christmas swap, not started my SS reveal kits, behind on my DT cards and no energy today at all. Got home and DH is sick, he went to Dr. today and got a shot, a pack of pills and some over the counter drugs. I'm not being mean but I don't want it. If he has coughed once today he has coughed thousands of times. He is having to sleep sitting up in his chair. Feel so bad for him.
I hope you are are all doing great and everything is going good for you. Vickie, I was doing the countdown in 2010. It is so worth all the hurrying and extra work. You will love being retired.
I am like Jo, crossing my fingers Donelda can join us for #8. It is not the same when some can't play. Like Patti said you are my SCS family.
Denise definitely has her hands full. The babies are so sweet and loved holding them. My RA was really bad out there in the rainy and cold weather that I didn't hold them as much as I wanted because of all the aches and pains but there is always next year.

Susanne, my BD card swaps are going postal to Nikki tomorrow. It is uploaded into my gallery (it's the pink frilly card! LOL)
Linda, thanks for the encouragement about retirement. It is soooo difficult to stay focused on my work now!! I have one more state meeting to attend on April 23 so am going to miss everyone from around the state who attend this particular meeting, but I am not going to miss the student data reporting...they will all "hate" me when I announce it on the 23rd! hehehe
Linda and Donelda, I can identify with the "jet lag" but I usually only have an hour's difference to contend with from Texas to home!
Susanne, hope your crik is better.
May, June, July will be busy months for me, but I cannot pass up another round! I love being with all of you!
I need to work on account ledgers so gess I better get started on that. *sigh*
Linda, glad you made it home safely! Hope your RA will quit acting up.
Susanne, I can't wait to see your hair!
Vickie, retirement sounds awesome...it will be here before you know it!
I just want to make sure I am on the right page.... The next round starts in May? I am hoping all who played this time will get to play again...love this group!
My neck is still bugging me. The Dr. ordered a round of steroids; hopefully that will help. I feel like once you injure your neck it is never the same....
Ivy made us a really good treat for Easter. Have any of you had fruit pizza? It was similar to that, but with a brownie base and chocolate drizzle on top instead of glaze. I sprung for fresh raspberries to mix with the other fruits and it was really good. It is so nice to have help in the kitchen!
It is still cold here; in the forties. The sun is out, but it's very brisk!
I have sent you a PM Jessica. Can't wait for round 8. Of course I need to finish up Round 7. Still working on my reveal package. Hope to get it completed this week sometime. I still need to get a couple things to complete it.
Linda - Glad to hear you made it home but sorry that you had trouble with your RA while you were with Denise. Did you guys have time to do any cardmaking? I'm sure you were busy the whole time.
Angela - Can't wait to see pictures of the new puppy when you get it.
Vickie - I wish I was counting down to retirement also. Another year for me. And then we shall see. I would hate to have to give up my craft money just for retirement.
Ladies -- I have definitely been receiving your PMs. I will respond individually as soon as I have my list of info I will need from you to start the matching process. I'm just slow, not trying to be rude .
Okay, truth is I'm not sure how I'd ever say no ... I'd miss this group too much!! LOL!! So, I am in for round 8. I am hoping that my May, June, and July are not as busy as they were last year!! I guess I'll have to be super-organized!! Thanks to you Jessica for hosting again!!
Vickie, you are so lucky to be close enough to retirement to even be counting down. I am many, many years away!
Linda, glad to hear you had a great time at Denise's despite the RA!! Hope DH gets better soon and your RA gets better too now that you are back home. Today I finally had a little energy but just fell asleep on the couch after supper.
Angela, I have had regular fruit pizza before but Ivy's gourmet version sounds delish!! Wanna send me a slice over the www LOL!! and I think you are right, once any body part gets hurt I'm not sure it is ever really the same. My brother and DH have both broken their ankles and both of them still have ankle problems!!
and someone stole my crafting mojo!!!!!! Second night of sitting here at my craft table with nothing .... notta .... zippo!!! I have tried to use up scraps, tried to case something, tried a challenge or 2 and I've got nothing!!!!! sheesh!!!
Susanne and Angela, hope you are both feeling better. I am better with warmer weather and thankful for that.
Tracie, we didn't get any cardmaking done. Nickie is living with Denise right now and she has baby J and 3 boys age 8, 10, and 11 over there most of the time. They all keep her pretty busy plus Jennifer has car problems and has to have Denise drive her everywhere she needs to go because her car is broke down and she doesn't have the money to fix it. Between all of them she doesn't get a lot of quiet time or rest. Hopefully she will come out this summer and get some rest and get to craft.
Hope you all had a great day.
Vickie, I'm helping you count down until retirement.

I have been doing NOTHING since we got home from taking Mom to Sacramento Airport. My DH has let me sleep in, my DD has been doing the cooking and cleaning, along with DH. I did help some today. I was so tired. I didn't even get out of my pajama's until about 3:30 today.
Mom and I didn't make any cards, well, I didn't make cards, Mom did!!!! I did leave all my card stuff out though so I can. Like Mom said, if it isn't me it is my DH running both girls where they need to go. Yes, Nickie's boys are here this week as it is spring break! I am so looking forward to hopefully get to go visit my Mom this summer.
I hope everyone is doing ok, I will try to catch up later.
I am in for round 8 already sent Jessica a message!!!!!!!!
Susanne, your birthday cards are sooooo cute! Is the girl image a Kimmie (forget the actual name of those stamps!) TFS
I just went to look her up..."Florence" Kraftin Kimmie stamp! Isn't she fun...she is a beach them stamp--but she looks good in any environment...well, maybe not sitting on a highway...But I may put her on some grass theme paper and do some picnic cards with her!
Making a big checkmark off my list of things to do! Ahhh...feels good!

Susanne- Your cards are great. "Florence" looks great and it really looks like she is relaxing on the beach.
Angela- Fruit pizza sounds....yummie....You have a really a great cook at home Hope your neck is feeling better today !
Donelda- Enjoy your time without crafting. Your mojo comes back by itself !
Linda- I can imagine. Since Tanja is back in Germany we want to meet to craft. LOL We talk a lot about it and exchange stamps and other things out but it never came to crafting. We see us of course more often, but for crafting we have not had time.
Joanna- Your changito card is great !!! Love the paper piecing !
To all who are not doing so well. I wish you a speedy recovery and hope you are feeling better today !
Itīs so great to read that everyone join the next round. I also love you gals and this group is the best !!
I have at the moment too little time, but I've cleaned out my stash. It was really necessary. I've re-created for new space. Many things thrown in the trash. I always pile up so much - I might even use it again . But now it was too much and I had to clean out again.
As mentioned, my fabulous April package arrived. Lots of cute stuff inside for me...a great cupcake stamp, PTI DSP, altered notebook and two great kits!!! Oh!!! And felt!
Thank you so much, SS!!
I always mean to post pics, but it seems like so much work these days. Typing
is much easier because I can do it while Claire rests in my arms. Can you believe she's seven weeks today?
Thinking of you and sending good vibes your way, Patti!
Heather, 7 weeks has certainly gone fast!
It was cold here today...in the 20's when I left for work. We have a mandatory competency fair that started today; I was at the blood transfusion booth. After about 5 hours, I was hoarse from talking so much. Wish I could talk about stamping or something more exciting! LOL
