Lynne: Sadly, our pooch engages in that behavior too. My vet tells me that most dogs grow out of it. I'm hoping.

Happy Sunday !!

Vickie- Almost perfekt for your birthday. Have fun !

Angela- I am always amazed what you can do in the Crok pot.

Yesterday we made again gardening. We cut trees and have it shredded. Then I have put a lot of green stuff to the dump. Now everything is a little neater....but only a little

Joanna- You already sitting on packed cartons ? Moving is really hard.

Susanne- This keyboard I would also bring back. Sounds complicated

Good Morning, sounds like you were busy yesterday Imke. It was beautiful here yesterday and would have been a good day to work outside but my daughter and grandaughter stopped by. My grandaughter is going to her first high school dance in a couple of weeks and they thought I might be able to make her dress a little longer. It's really beautiful but a little short...she is a tall girl. Anyway I think black hose will probably do as much good as anything. Of course she wants to wear heels... She is such a pretty girl, can't wait to see her all put together for the dance. I'll take lots of pictures!!
I think I will play in my crafty room today, a co worker needs a new baby card and I have some thank you cards overdue.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday!!

Good morning!

Pat, how old is your grandaughter? I hope you will share a picture of her all dressed up.

Imke, you will have to relax and have fun today after your hard work yesterday.

Susanne, the kluski noodles remind me of the frozen egg noodles that you buy. They are thick and a bit chewy (not in a bad way). I think today Ivy is making Caramel Apple cupcakes...one of my friends bought her some fancy fall cupcake wrappers and she wanted to bake some for her. She is also making homemade mac and cheese...she found a recipe for Panera Bread's version...she had it once and it was very good. It calls for white cheddar....

Angie, you and Joanna are not alone...Paisley will also do that! Yuck! She had a bath yesterday...we usually do it at home but they have a dog wash in town here. It is kind of like a car wash...all I know is she came home smelling pretty...then proceeded to go lay in the dirt! LOL

DH and DS ran into my brother this morning. DH says you can see how proud he is of the dog...just like a proud Papa! LOL They had to show him how Paisley can high 5! She likes to sit in the cab of the truck, not in the second seat or in her kennel in back...it's like she thinks she's a person.

Kathleen is home...she posted to her blog...good news!

Had better get busy...I've got laundry started...not too much to do because I did a lot yesterday.

Hope everybody has a super Sunday!

Joanna-Do you want to know what one of my dogs quite frequently has in his mouth? Dog poop. From the other dog, that is. Or any poop, from any source he can find it. Thank God there are no cow patties around here. The two of them are very prolific poopers and we pick it up as soon as possible, but to no avail. The worst is when you let him back in, and he's licking his chops. You just KNOW what he has been eating. And catching a whiff of it on his breath is no picnic, either.
Thankfully, Muddy was never one to do this--although he would not think twice about eating old garbage from outside!!! <eeek> Makes me think he isn't such a fan of my cooking!!! haha

Pat--they DO grow up huh? One minute we're taking them to preschool and the next off to college with opinions about politics and news! Just this morning Patrick finished off the coffee in the coffee pot---Aaargh...he just started drinking coffee--need to get a back up filter loaded with coffee and ready for when this happens--Nothing worse than waking up to an empty pot of jo!

Angela- I read it on her blog too. Hooray for Kathy and her family ! AND a "Dog Wash" sounds great- it pleased her ? The imagination is kind of funny.

I am working on a new project - i saw it on TV. There were old books, recycled and transformed into a note holder. Super cool. A friend has birthday soon and I think she will be happy to get it ( i hope anyway The sister also has birthday - they are twins, so I probably need to make two.

Pat- How exciting for your DGD- the first high school dance !!

Hey girls!
Yea, we are home! Our furnace wasn't working when we got home, so we had a guy come out Friday. Things are improving here, most everyone has power back. But some areas are just destroyed, I mean houses are gone completely, so scary! There is an area called Union Beach only 8 miles from here and it is devastated. We are trying to organize drops offs etc, for people needing to start over. I was going through all the baby stuff I have, so hopefully it will go to someone in need.

LOL about the dogs eating poop. That is why we don't have one (at least that is what dh always tells the boys)!

Pat, can't wait to see some pics of your granddaughter!

Angela, those cupcakes sound delicious! Sounded like a fun shopping trip for you and Ivy and your parents.

Imke, do you grow vegetable in the winter, too? Our CSA farmer was telling us how the spinach and leafy greens are so much sweeter because of something to do with the frost encouraging release of sugar. Your project sounds so cool. Your friend will love it I'm sure. Make sure and post some photos when you make it.

I've been on a pinterest recipe roll today. I've made homemade granola bars, pumpkin chocolate chip brownies (Susanne the canned pumpkin always makes me think of Muddy!), Martha Stewart's Fleur de sel toffee, and whole wheat bread dough. Think I'm going to finish up the laundry and relax for a while with Finn and Lilah. Chuck took the two bigger ones to a football game (Eagles/Dallas) down in Philadelphia.

Hope everyone has a great rest of today!

Kathleen...<<<<Hugs>>> we have missed you!

We have sent a donation to the Red Cross-hope it helps someone in need! I cannot imagine the loss-seeing the pictures on TV does not compare to seeing real life families that have lost everything! I suggested to Tom that we get some type of "safe box" together for all of our things-policies, credit card #s...birth certificates...etc--we have all that stuff-just not in one place!

Just so happy you are home safe and sound.

Kathy- Iīm glad you are back home- it also sounds again after everyday !!
We brought our physalis plant (I hope the fruits ripen)and some chilies to overwinter inside. Otherwise, I have no vegetables in winter. Sure you can make it, why not ? But our greenhouse is not heated and i I have no space for it inside

Susanne- I think a "safe box" is super important. We all have all these important original documents in a bank safe. If stolen by a burglar or the house burns down, at least the documents exist. Many find that ridiculous, but it is expensive and requires a lot of time to make documents available again. Do it !

Happy Birthday Vickie!
Hope you have a great day.

Tracie you were so right. Our weather lady said last night our temps dropped 45 degrees from Sat. to Sunday. That was crazy. It was 28 at midnight here in Dewey.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Looks like a fun package from Imke, Vickie! The fall images are really cute.

Linda, it is cold here too. On Saturday at 6:30 p.m. it was still almost 70 degrees...by today it was in the 20's...too cold!

Did any of you see that MFT will now offer ink? It seems like they are going the PTI route...paper, buttons, ribbon, felt, and now ink. I really like PTI felt, but I like how MFT packages theirs better...5 9x12 sheets instead of the roll...I think there is less waste.

Joanna, that chipotle soup you were talking about the other day sounded good. I made a pot of soup for supper...it smells really good!

Ivy decorated her tree last night...it turned out cute. We just have to take the ribbon to the flower shop and have some nice bows made for the top. I let her do all the decorating, even though it was driving me crazy and I wanted to jump in. I've been teasing her that we will have to hand out sunglasses at the door to her room...it is BRIGHT and BLINGY!!!

Dancing With The Stars is on tonight...love that show!

Off to serve the soup....

We went out for dinner for my BD; went to Logan's Steakhouse. And, DH gave me a generous gift of cash which I will make good use of by adding more goodies to my craftroom!

Hope everyone has a wonderful evening.

Nice kit Vickie--I hope to mail by the end of the week... I love it when I get "cash gifts" from my hubbie...then I get to go shop for whatever I want! Or I sink it into my acct and cyber shop (sounds racy) but you all know what I mean! haha

Have a photo to share with you all--my friend Ali from England sent me her 6x6 scrapbook page--so I added her to my bunch of all of you!!! I cannot wait to receive all of yours as well...Here's Ali (note: She often dyes her hair different colors-works with teens in social work--kinda makes her "cool" and they can identify with her and she/them...need to go find it in my picture docs!

Who knew there was "Almo Red" hair dye?!!! hahaha She's a love and I love everything about her--she just opted for a step up in her job (there's a serious pecking order-but she won and has it as a "test" for 6mos-1 year and then may reapply for it as a full time job)...She works with families and children that have been thrown out of their own homes-living on the street...she has the patience of an angel. And, her silly side is peeking through here--talk about a photo opt with Almo!

Tracie, that would be a great idea...perfect timing too, for the holidays.

Pat, yes, time sure does fly! Ivy is 14 too, this past August; I remember when she was just a tot...it seems like yesterday. It really is an awesome thing to see them grow into a young adult...how does it happen over night? So many times I wish I could just freeze time the way it is now; I hate to think that in a few short years she will be off to college.

Work was crazy today...I feel like I have been run over by a truck...back for round 2 tomorrow....

Susanne, Davis used to love Elmo! When he was about 1 1/2 years and went for surgery, Elmo came too...the staff was so nice, the doctored him up. I have a picture of him in his parka, ready to leave...wearing p.j.'s with Elmo slippers and an Elmo doll clutched in his arm. So darn cute!

Kathleen, I have noticed that you've been using those candy things on your cards.... I bought some white ones to try and was wondering how you adhere them?

What a great picture - looks really great.

My nephews are growing up with the Sesamestreet in the U.S. and found Elmo really cool. Elmo does not exist in the "german" Sesamestreet. Isnīt that funny ?

How is the status of the pages ? The blank pages waiting to be filled out in my album !

Oh my goodness, so much chatting! I'm discovering life with a moving infant means less computer chatting and reading time. We seem to mark our days by what Claire does or doesn't do. She's waving now, "dances" with her hands. We played a cute game of "Claire says" at dinner the other night. She was putting her hands in the air, then down again, so I started copying her. She figured it out and started to try to trick me. One hand up, hands up really fast then down again...LOL. So much fun! She's also started this super cute thing. When you ask her "bottle?" she smacks her lips together if she's hungry. I head upstairs and all I can hear is smack! smack! smack! Hee, hee.

I think I missed the hunting discussion. DH is a hunter and I have to say, it doesn't bother me. He got a couple deer last year and we got it processed into garlic sausage, smokies and pepperoni. I have to say, it's REALLY good. We haven't had much else, other than a bird of some type. That was...okay. Probably not cooked all that well.

Kathy, glad you're home and everything at your place is good. Sad to hear about the devastation for others. It's amazing.

Vickie, happy belated birthday. I will say, there is no way you're 29!! Otherwise, I want the contact number of the guy who invests your retirement savings!! I want to retire at 29...heck, I'd happily retire at 33 and (May, Jun....Oct, Nov)....7 months!!

Angela- Ivy donate this tree too ?
About MFT: I think one copied from the other. You see many topics are alike but the handling is just different. As you already said, for example, with the felt. There is a saying: The wheel can not be reinvented.

Tracie- Would be nice if you can sell some cards. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Vickie- It sounds like a lovely evening. You already know what you want to buy ?

Yesterday I was in the bike shop to buy new brakes. The nice salesman did not have good news for me. My bottom bracket is broken - OK-that is not soooooo bad. Much worse is that my front suspension is porous and can break A repair is no longer profitable. As means I need a new bike in the near future. Uffff that means: Save money !! A new bike costs about 800 $ !!

Hey everyone! I have the stomach flu from hell, and I have to survive a minimum 4 hour car ride. Wish me luck, please.

Good luck!!

Imke, sorry about the bike. Hope it is not as bad as the repairman says.

I got my card finished for across the hall and hope to post it tomorrow.

Heather, Claire sounds like she is going to have a fun personality. Maybe she will enjoy teasing a little, sounds like it. I am always amazed at how smart they are.

Vickie, hope you had a great birthday.

Pat, can't wait to see photos of your granddaughter that are current.

Hope everyone has a good evening. I'll be back later.

Angie, I hope you feel better soon.

Imke, Ivy isn't donating this tree, it is in her room. She will make one for the village next year.

Linda, I will post a picture of the tree soon. We have some ribbon that needs to be taken to the florist so they can make bows; I didn't get home in time to do it today.

I have a new Paper Crafts publication that is calling my name....
