Welcome to the second round of "I finally can use this d/p" swap. Where you can either swap cards or sheets of designer paper or both.
This swap is a bit different then what most of us are used to. How is it different you may ask? Well, you can choose to swap d/p only or you can swap cards, or both but the cards you make do not have to match one another. They can if you want them to, however, it is not mandatory that they do. The cards can be whatever size you prefer. Just make sure to include an envelope if it's not the normal A2 (5.5 x 4.25) sized card.
I don't know about you, but I always end up with designer paper that I feel just isn't my style. I have a couple of sheets that I have had forever. So instead of wasting it or it taking up space that I could use, I figured if we commit to a swap we'd force ourselves to use it. We may find that once we do make a card using this d/p that we wouldn't otherwise use, that it's not that bad after all.
If you choose to make cards, remember, all four cards do not have to match. Some of us may have d/p that just doesn't fit our style, however we have one sheet of one design and one sheet of another design. Therefore, we don't have enough of one design to make all four cards. Because of this the only rule to this swap is to use designer paper that you feel you would never otherwise use for whatever reason. Please to use sturdy cardstock as your base.
Just in case you truly can not figure out a way to use it. If you choose to swap out the paper itself you must choose which catagory your d/p fits in as far as size. And you must have at least 2 sheets. Please put how many sheets you plan on swapping. I will try to make sure you get that same number back, however, I can not promise anything. It will depend on the number of sheets I receive.
These cards and/or paper are due:June 2
Quantity for the cards - 3 & 1 You will not get one of your own, so make an extra one for yourself.
I will mail them out as soon as I receive all swaps. If I receive all of them early, I will send them out early. If your swap is received after the due date, I may have to send it back to you.
Mailing Instructions: Place swaps in a large baggie for waterproof purposes, Write your real name, your SCS name, and the name of the swap on a piece of paper and place inside the large baggie for identification purposes
Swap Return: Please include a S.A.S.E. (self-address stamped envelope). The amount of postage on your S.A.S.E should be the same amount used to mail your package to the hostess. Please include 2 additional stamps to ensure enough postage to return swaps. Additonal postage will be returned is not used. Please send only postage stamps. No dated stamps or metered mail. They will not be accepted by my postoffice. If you would prefer to use priority mail, please include one $4.95 priority stamp & a self-addressed priority label. If you are mailing from Canada please include $5 U.S. to cover return postage, and I will return whatever is left to you.
How to win prizes in your return envelope:

So, I am confused (this happens a lot!). If you do DP only, how much do you put in for each spot you sign up for? So for each spot, do I take one 12 x 12 piece and cut in four and send all four sheets? Is that what you do for spot?

Ladies, please do not feel like you HAVE to do cards. I have to include that choice in order to post it under the card swaps. Plus I have found that I have scraps of d/p that I probably normally wouldn't use and thought maybe others may have that same issue. kwim? So, we can use those on cards since the cards do not have to be the same.

But you would send 8 pieces because I think each spot is two full sheets....KWIM?
*** shaking head*** now I'm confused. Need to go back and reread.
Donna, each spot is two full sheets. You cut each sheet up into four pieces so you end up with 8 pieces per spot...(I think, now I'm getting confused!)
LOL maybe we should quit while we are ahead. Explaining it I mean We confuse each other and ourselves. LOL
All I know is that I am going to send 8 pieces of 6x6 dp for each spot and i have two spots, so I will have to find another 2 sheets of12x12 and cut them up so I have 8 pieces of 6x6 for that spot too! Am I right Dani??? HUH? HUH?
Ok, so, since I am doing 81/2 x 11, I will cut 2 sheets into 4 pieces each which makes 8 pieces total. Since I have taken 2 spots, I will have 16 pieces in all........I think

Yes, but 8 pieces will be one design and the other 8 will be a second dp...right?
Right! The dunce chair, yes. The naughty chair, no! LOL
I don't want either but get the naughty chair for what I said earlier! Yikes! Anyway, what you ladies said makes sense and I have 2 spots so I will send in 16 sheets - 8 of each design!

Ok ladies...to make it easier to remember....Let's say you took 1 spot in the 12 x 12. You need to have 2 sheets of the 12 x 12 paper and you cut each sheet into 4 pieces. Each spot is 2 full sheets. The reason I ask you to cut them down is it makes it much easier for shipping. Does that help?
okie dokie ladies. I will put you down for the spots you requested. Thank you both for joining us. Sam, it's amazing at the paper that comes in. I don't remember if you were part of the first one I had....but we had a contest to see who's paper was the ugliest. I think Suzy800 won but not sure. It was so much fun. However, it was really cool to see how one person would think a paper was "not their style" and someone else would just love it. kwim?

Amy, I put you down for one spot in 12 x 12. Thank you for joining us. Sam, there were a ton of awesome papers that came in last time. I remember I had to take some extra time to swap them out because there were so many. I hope this one is the same way. hehehe...should we do the contest again?
Hi Dani,
I would like to take 4 spots in the 12x12 d/p swap....
if I understood this right I will need to send 32 squares of 6x6 each....correct?? ;o)
Q's: does it matter if d/p is double sided OR single sided???

Hello ladies. No it does not matter if it is double sided paper or single. I will add your spots car and sam. Thank you for joining us. Last time we had a contest and whomever sent in the "most ugly" paper won. I am thinking I am going to do that again, that was fun. What does everyone think?? Do we want to do that again?
