Receiving ~ Red/White or Black/White or Red/Black Full Cards-Due Feb. 15
Here is another swap for my friendly stampers to join-Red and White or Black and White or Red and Black Cards
You have a choice of which one to join or you can join all three for a prize! Yes, you will need to use Red and White OR Black and White OR Black and Red on your card—no other colors. Red & white are Wisconsin Badger colors and that is a small reason behind one of the sets of colors in this swap, but I also like black & white as well as black and red together in cards. This is not a sports themed swap--I love red and white together and yes, it is the team colors of Wisconsin, but not a sports swap!
Sign up for as many spots as you'd like, but please, make a different design for each spot you take. You can sign up for any of the colors or all THREE! There are prizes available--read down to get additional information.
Descriptions: Full Size Card- 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. Please use at least 2 layers & 1 embellishment! If you make a size different than this, please include an envie.
Quantity: 5+1 You will not get one of your own back, so make an extra one for yourself!
Vendor Products: Any stamp from any company but PLEASE use very good quality cardstock (preferably SU/PTI/GKD). No vendor restriction on embellishments - use as many embellishments as you like. Designer papers are encouraged, but not required. Remember, red and white or black and white or black and red need to be used on your card. Your image may be colored with more colors, but the cardstock, ribbon, brads, etc. are to only be red or white OR black or white OR black and red.
Due Date: Wednesday, February 15th - I will mail them as soon as I receive all swaps! If I receive the swaps early, I will send them out early. If your cards are received after the due date, I may have to return them to you.
Mailing instructions: Place swap cards in a large baggie for waterproof purposes. Write your real name, SCS name and swap name on a piece of paper or the baggie for identification purposes.
Swap Return: Please include self-addressed stamped envelope. The amount of postage on your SASE should be the same amount used to mail to hostess. Please include 2 additional stamps to insure enough postage to return swaps. Additional postage will be returned if not used. PLEASE SEND ONLY POSTAGE STAMPS, NO DATED STAMPS OR METERED MAIL--My Post Office will not take them. If you would rather use Priority mail, please include one $4.95 priority stamp and a self-addressed priority label. I will provide priority envelope. If you are mailing from outside the US, please include $5 US (or more for mutiple spots) to cover return postage, and I will return whatever is left to you. Reminder--first class postage is going up in January--if you send in prior to that date, be sure to include extra for return postage. I know international postage is also going up.
Please post or PM me with any questions.
Prizes: OK--this is how you can win some prizes in your return envie:
1--Sign up for one or more spots in each of the three groups
2--Be the 25th or 50th name (or 75th ) to be added to the list
3--Other prizes will be added later during the chatter in this thread!
Please mail swaps to: Barb Deichl

Hi Ladies,
I just wanted to thank Barb for letting me 'pimp' my Buy/Sell thread her in her swap I'm in. See the listing under my siggy and it will take you directly to my Buy/Sell thread. It's the 'TIM HOLTZ' for sale link.
Thanks for looking, Denise

Good Morning Ladies--hope your Saturday morning is starting out bright and chipper! We are going to do some things outside this morning--plant tulips, dig up canna bulbs, cut branches and load them into the trailer, etc. They started the garage/greenhouse project yesterday by doing the excavating, and starting the plumbing. They are planning to pour the slab on Tuesday.
This afternoon we are going to the play Lombardi--it is in downtown Milwaukee and has gotten pretty good reviews. Hope to be home in time to watch the Badgers play at 7:00

I would like a spot in all three color groups. I've been lurking for days and decided since I keep checking back I might as well sign up and get to work!

Am I allowed any metallic accents in the color mix? (gold/silver brads, embossing, glitter) Just wanted to check before I get too far in my design process.

As far as accents--they should be one of the pairs of colors. So a red brad is fine on the red/white or black/red group. But, gold brad would not be in any of the groups. The only "other" colors are to be colored in the images. I am sure there will be some cards that have additional colors, but part of the challenge is trying to stick with the "challenge part".
Thanks for asking--Barb

Hello Ladies--hope your weekend is going well and is winding down.................
The play Lombardi was outstanding! The guy who played him looked so much like him and it jsut darn good! We were going to go to Maggino's Italian restaurant for supper after the show, but traffic was horrid for some reason in the area where we were to exit. So, instead we went for sushi at a new place for us and it was one of the best dinners we have had.
After church, roomie went to play golf as she had 18 holes to make up for her league and I went to my friend Claudia's house to watch football. Roomie came by later to watch the Packers and for supper. Packers are now 7-0--kind of makes up a bit for the sting of the Badgers losing last night......................
