Okay - here's my Halloween card. Or at least the link to it...

Peg's Flicker

Gotta figure out my turkey and Santa cards now.

That's really cute!!! Perfect CAS card

I was looking at some of your other cards and I really like the tree card you made using the pennant punch, pretty clever!

Since this is my first Clean and Simple card swap, I have to ask... how clean and simple?

Are there any rules to CAS that I should adhere to? Like not to use more than one layer of cardstock? I tried googling to see if CAS came with a set of guidelines but couldn't find anyting. I hope I don't sound too much like a dork. I read the info on the first page but want to make sure I'm not missing anything before I begin.

Thanks! I actually found inspiration for that cards while creeping around on the internet. I would love to be able to claim "mine-sies" but I cannot. I just Goggled pennant punch and up popped some of the coolest cards! I wanna show my club members there are way more uses for SU punches than the obvious.

Martha, be my guest! I hope it goes as smooth as my Christmas in July class did. My club members really loved the tree.

BTW, you can make a pumpkin outta the Big Shot scalloped circle die in the same fashion as making the pennant trees. All of my SU friends went ga-ga over it.

Michelle, since I am here typing already - I'll help out a bit (hope I'm not stepping on toes).

Here's a description I found while surfing:

"A CAS card isn’t ornate or froo froo. It doesn’t have a lot going on. A CAS card is the card-making equivalent of the “little black dress.” It’s elegant, understated; it might have a bit of sparkle or interesting angles, but with the CAS card or the little black dress less is more."

Here's a blog I saw too, that is all about the CAS card. She has tons of great inspiration!! Clean & Simple Stamping

I do hope this helped and didn't make it "clear as mud".

Peggie already posted a reply for you above (Thank you so much, Peggie for helping her). I just wanted to add a bit ....CAS cards should be easy to make, no advanced techniques. For example dry embossing is quick and easy, whereas embossed resist is a little more involved.

Yes, your card can have layers, but I would suggest to limit them. You wouldn't make a 10 layer card....LOL Hope that helps If not feel free to ask again and if I'm not here I'm sure someone will help out. All of the ladies here are so sweet and kind.

Oh my goodness....LOL That's funny that you have to hide your images. We only have 1 dog, but my daughter wants a cat and hubby said no. I like cats too, but I just don't think we have time for another animal in the house. I always had a cat growing up. I had one named Cuddles- (she was my favorite), Calliope, and Sebastian (not all at the same time).

Oh, I forgot to say...did you ever try heating/drying your digi images with a heat gun? I do that when I am using digi images to set the ink then I don't have to wait for it to dry over night.

My images never work with just letting them dry. I don't know why (maybe it's my printer), but I always have to hit them with my heat gun.

Patty - this website is filled with AH-mazing SU goodies! Her name is LeeAnn Greff and she's SU from Minot, North Dakota. Very talented lady!!

Here's the link explaining how she made them. She is one of many I saw on the internet, but I really love her site and always go to her when I need a shot of inspiration.

Hi everyone! I'm just checking in on my phone. There was a huge tractor trailor accident right by my house yesterday afternoon and the fire from the the truck burnt down our cable & phone lines so I don't have internet right now. I'll come back to update our thread as soon as our internet is restored. Here's the news story. This was right by my house. The explosion from the fire was unbelievable! The road to my development was closed all day yesterday and the police wouldn't let us through. My husband had to park his car at the car wash and walk home.

Wow! So glad the truck driver got out. What a horrible fire. My DS is a truck driver and I worry about him on the roads....Glad your family is okay and hope you get you phone and cable lines back up soon.

Yes, I forgot to say that both drivers are alive although the driver of the SUV was in more serious condition. The truck driver's right arm was burnt, but he was able to get out of the truck before it exploded. The driver of the SUV was swatting a bee and lost control of his car, crossed the center lane and slammed into the truck's gas tank. I wonder if he was texting while driving- the bee story doesn't seem right to me.

We're all okay. Thanks for asking. The only problem now is the fuel spill. It spilled into the sewer system and down into the creek behind my house (right in my back yard) so the Haz mat team was at the accident scene last night and they are coming back today to dig up the contaminated soil and haul it away. I don't know what they are going to do about the fuel in the creek. My neighbor told me that the responders forgot about the creek in the back of our homes and they didn't handle the fuel spill properly. Last night another neighbor and the people way down the creek said they can smell the fuel.

Good Morning!

Today is Ace Hardware's free paint Saturday. You can get a free little pint of a new paint they are promoting. Gonna get the color I need to make my chalkboard wall. It's gonna be at the top of the stairs next to the kitchen. I want to use this as command central for the kids and me... I can't paint it today as it's rainy. But it'll be perfect!

I hope you all have a great day and get to craft at least a little bit!
