Postal: Christmas Card Kits Round 2: Due Nov. 17th 3+1
This swap is for Christmas Card kits. Card kits are a great way to use new products you don't have, play with images you might not have seen before, or just find a new combo of colors/items YOU may not have put together for your self. I LOVE card kits...they are wonderful. They are a great grab and go item to take to a crop, or put together a card in a pinch. If you've never done a card kit swap I encourage you to get your feet wet and come play with us. But be warned...you'll be swimming in the deep end in no time at all...they are very addicting!!
For this round of the swap I'm going to have different Categories of Kits by color combos. You pick what color you want to send, and then you pick what color you want to Receive. each color will have a color combo, you and add other colors to it, but these two colors need to be the main focus of your kit. Any image for this round works.
if you have questions please PM me or post.
Lastly...and MOST IMPORTANT...have fun!!
Now for the rest of the details:

Due in my Hands BY: Saturday, November 17, 2012 - I will mail them as soon as I receive all swaps! If I receive the swaps early, I will send them out early. Please post in the thread or send me a PM when your cards are postal. Please don't be late, with christmas fast approaching I'd like to turn these around quickly.
Mailing instructions: Place swap cards kits in a large baggie for waterproof purposes. Write your real name, SCS name and swap name on a piece of paper or the baggie for identification purposes.

I love card kits and want to be the first one to sign up!!! I'll send blue and white and would like to receive purple and white. This a neat way to set up a swap - and we can all create what we want with the contents of the kit!

Kristyn what a great way to get new color combos to try! Going shopping at the LSS that is going out of business this week. I'll let you know which color combos after I see what I can snag at the store.
Hey Kristyn thanks for the invite. Ill take 2 spots. I'd like to make blue /white and purple and white. I'd like to receive teal/ silver and purple/white. Ill be brain storming tomorrow.
Monica has me thinking about this one. I'm swamped right now so not sure I can commit though but am bookmarking it in case I find I'm able to.
I'm not sure though that I understand... how will you make sure that you have enough of the color kits received if they aren't the same as those sent?
Susan, I'll try to answer for Kristyn because she had a rough day at work today. Her boss quit. Just walked out! Leaving Kristyn in a hot mess. Anyway, there are the same number of spots in each color group for sending and receiving. So all the spots get filled and it all works out. Unlike some other swaps, you can't add spots here and there. It all has to balance. lol (Can you tell Kristyn is an accountant?) Hope the way I explained it makes sense.
So jump on in and grab the colors you want before the groups fill up!
I would like to recieve
Silver and teal
Gold and cranberry
Please
Thanks dea
Dea-The Silver and Teal spot to recieve is now full...heather one post before you beat you to the last spot. is there another color you'd like to get back?

Lois, you are correct!
Susan-each spot is limited to 4 of each...so for this to all work out I need 28 spots filled and NO flakers!! Kits are pretty quick to put together. so if you think you can pull it off and you want a better choice of color get in now as spots are already filling up. also, if you can't decide on a color, then you can always pick ANYTHING GOES...this is for anyone who well either can't decide or doesn't have the colors that will work in the colors listed. maybe you have some great pink and green paper!

I am sorry to hear that your boss quit. I hope they either promote you or staff the position quickly. We have lost five people this year and they are not staffing the positions we just repriortise our workload every day. There is two of us left and one of us retires in twelve months and nine days and no it is not me.....

she wasn't really MY boss...but she was the boss over the sales department. and to be honest with you...I HAPPY she's gone!!! i'm doing the happy dance right now. that being said her just walking out did make my day, well horrible. I was to cover two locations today and with her just walking out, it made covering the other location very difficult..but I got it all done and didn't miss a deadline on anything important. so how to you do type the sound of my tounge sticking out and well you know that noise...to her!!! she tried to be a butthead, but she failed at that too!! ok know i'm just being ugly so I have to stop talking about this...I made a promise at work that if I could say anything nice, I would speak at all....I haven't spoke much that last couple of weeks. does typing count as speaking?!
anywhoo....Happy Day everyone...tomorrow should be better. they are bringing back the old manager and I just love her. we work great together, she's fun to be around and we both think the same...she's in charge, but when things really matter she knows I'm in charge. LOL

Thanks, Kristen.
It's my youngest son who serves in the PA Army National Guard. He spent almost a year in Iraq...it seemed like it lasted about 10 years. There's talk about members of his unit going to Afghanistan next year, but he's scheduled to get out before that happens. I just recently heard him speak of staying in, but now that he has two children, I don't think he'd be able to leave them.
I'll pass on your thanks to him. He always appreciates hearing it!
Kristyn and Tracy, I make cards too for Operation Write HOme - it's always great to have an outlet for your creative juices!! My daughter deploys for the 3rd time as a helicopter pilot in November. She is not married so that makes it easier, but with all these deployments I wonder if she will ever find a great guy? She finds someone and then has to leave. Can you tell I'm more concerned about her love life than she is??? Tracy, tell you son thanks for his service - it is hard to leave your kids behind!!
