Hi Dea,

I made your pork chop recipe yesterday. My family liked it a lot! My DH raved about it! I used double the rice and liquid because I have a really big crock pot and I had 5 chops. Turned out great and the flavor is yummy! Thank you so much for sharing! I'm putting it in my recipe book. I will do this one again. Thanks again!

Hi Kristyn,

How's it going without a stove/oven? Hope you are finding things to prepare and ways to cook. Dea has been a big help with all the recipes.

I am so glad you liked it. Old family recipe. You can do pepper steak the same way. If anyone is interested I will post the recipe.

its going ok...I'm am realizing that to cook this way I must plan ahead....I'm not go at that when it comes to cooking. but so far everything I've made has turned out good. I made some crockpot mac and cheese. me and hubby liked it...daughter not so much..but she's super picky!!

I do miss my stove...I almost cryed on sunday when my dryer started making horrible noises!! I'm sooo glad it stopped now, but it's still making me nervous...Now when I use it I speak very nicely to him (dryers blow alot of hot air so it has to be a him) and shut the door ever so gently now so as not to have him die on me!! LOL

Good morning ladies!

I took the day off of work because I am helping with a political fund raiser tonight. Not going to say which side because I don't want to make any enemies! LOL I am and another woman are in charge of the food.

Going to get some stamping done this morning though!
Have a good day everyone!

P.S. Can't wait to get these back!

most everyone is postal with the expection of a few....the onces where I needed a priority envie or gave cash or weighted more than 13 oz....I still have yours.

last night I dropped off all packages that didn't need postage, an envie or taken to the counter. so those are postal...the rest I will get to the post office tomorrow.

work has been crazy...as some of you know one of the bosses walked out on monday, then the administrator at our other location was on vacation last week so I had to cover for her, she was suppose to come back on tuesday, but she feel while on vacation and broke 4 ribs so she was out all this week too...things are slowing down as we all adjust to the folks out, so I should be able to get out tomorrow to the post office.

I'm truely sorry it's taking me so long to get these in the mail.

So today hubby and I headed to the US to do some shopping and mail some swaps. I must say I cannot believe the service or the cost to post mail. My package was posted today and will arrive on Monday. It is crossing at least three states and 1200 miles, it was $2.46 to ship. Unbelievable service. To ship the same size package the same distance in Canada it would have cost me $5.95 and taken a week to arrive. Keep in mind our dollar is at par. US postal service rocks....

Dea, This is a perfect low-carb and low calorie recipe! And there's no rice in it, so I should be able to pull it off! lol Thanks so much for sharing your recipes with us.

US postal service may rock, BUT it is supposedly failing financially. Rates are going up again! Well, ok, it's only a penny....but still!

Our postage increases every year by at least $.04 cents. Last year postage increased twice in one year. We pay $.61 cents for a standard letter under 30 grams.

Today I am making tortilla soup in the slow cooker, I am using four cups leftover turkey, one onions, three peppers, six stalks celery, one can kernal corn with juice, chichen broth about four cups, two cans tomatoes, 1tsp cumin, 1/4 cup chopped cilantro and one can chopped green chilies. Eight hours on low in slow cooker. Serve with toasted tortilla strips (slice tortillas, bake in oven at 200 for 30 minutes or leave on counter until they dry out), one tbsp cheddar cheese shredded. Optional, one tbsp quacamole and sour cream dollopped on top of soup before serving. This is hubby's favourite soup.

I got my card kits today! Wow, they are fantastic!!! Everyone put a lot of thought and planning into putting these kits together. I had four spots so I can't comment on every single one but each one had something that made me oooh and aaaah. Love all the extras that put each kit over the top! Thank you so much everyone. And a special thank you to Kristyn for hostessing. I hope that this new version of your card kit swap was easier for you to manage. You did a great job!!! I love my prize too!

Keep it and send it back with the new swap, if you just mail it I can guarantee it will not make it to my place. Money in mail never makes it all the way.

No to the stamp, really the kits were that cheap to mail, wow. If you have time and only if you have time, any change I have coming to me would you convert to postage stamps please. Any denomination please. From what I read on the posts it cannot be the printed ones as they are only good for the day they are printed. Do i understand thiS correctly.

yeah I will do that...that's no problem. I will get you the forever stamp...they are currently 45 cent each...but if postage goes up again, the value of them increase too.

I didn't think I mailed the stamp out to you...I had pulled it out to mail, went with me to the weekend crop, brought it back home, pull it out and set it aside....I remember moving it a few weeks ago, but can't remember for the life of me where I moved it to!! Ugh..I hate it when I do stupid things like that!! as soon as I find it again I will mail it to you.

I recieved my kits Saturday and I took them to a crop yesterday. They were absolutely lovely. A few stand out as terrific. Lois and Dea. I really enjoyed all the thought you put into them. Simply a joy to open them. If anybody who got my kits is confused by the long rectangles of paper they're supposed to ne borders not scrap paper. Just letting you know.

I received a wonderful surprise in the mail. Everyone's kits are beautiful. When I have more time I want to get lost in them and play but for now I just get to look at them. Have a great day everyone I am off to French and then work.
