Hi all!!
I don't know about you, but I'm always making cards that are appropriate for woman, but I tend to forget about birthday cards and other cards for men until I actually need one!!! And I never have one.
So I have decided to host a swap dedicated to the men in our lives!!! They can be Birthday cards or general ''Man" cards with or without a sentiment. My dear Friend Sam use to host this swap. But she has not been well.
Here are the details:
You will notice that these cards are not due until February 1, 2013!!! This is to give everyone time to get through the holidays and then still have time to make the cards.
Quantity: 5+1--Cards(the plus one is for the hostess...that's me!!)
For each spot, you will make 6 cards in total and receive 5 back.
You will not get one of your own back, so make sure to make an extra one for yourself!
Description for cards: Full cards only!! Use only high quality cardstock--SU!, Gina K, or PTI for example. Use at least two layers of cardstock on your cards. NVR on embellishments, but please use at least one.
Vendor products: No vendor product restriction whatsoever. Just make beautiful cards that you would want the men in your life to receive.
No envies necessary for regular A2 cards(5 1/2 x 4 1/4). If you choose to make another size card, please send envies.
EVERYONE IS WELCOME!!! If you've never participated in a swap before, take the plunge. It will be fun!!!! Don't feel like you 'can't' participate because you've never swapped before. We welcome everyone!!!!!
Sign up for as many spots as you'd like, but please, make a different card design for each spot you take. Please feel free to sign your cards or put a sticky note on them so we can give you the credit you deserve!!!!
My goal is to post all cards in the Gallery and would appreciate it if you could stop by and leave comments for your fellow swappers.
Deadline: In my hands by February 1, 2013, and I will have them postal within 10 days of the due date. This should give you time to get them completed after the holiday rush is over!! Of course, if you want to send them in ahead of time, that will be great too. Just work them into your schedule however it suits you. However, cards not received by the due date will regrettably be returned to sender so as not to hold up the swap. I promise to have them returned to you promptly.
You must check in 2 weeks before the due date and let me know you are still in the swap. If you need to drop out that is fine. Believe me, I know life happens, but I don't have the time to PM 20 people a few times to see if you are still in the swap. Thank you. You must also check in after the swap and let us know you received your swap back.
Mailing Instructions and return postage: U]Mailing: [/U]Place your cards in a zip lock bag with the swap name, your real name, and your SCS name to protect them from the weather.
Please send a self addressed stamped envelope with the same postage as it took to send to me plus two extra stamps just in case they are needed. I will return them if they are not needed. Thanks!
DO NOT send metered postage as we all know they only work for day of purchase!! If you would rather use Priority mail, please include one $5.15 priority stamp and a self-addressed priority label. I will provide priority envelope. If you are mailing from Canada please include $5 US to cover return postage, and I will return whatever is left to you. Australian swappers need to include $10 US.
All return mail will be sent via First Class unless you request (and provide for) otherwise. NO METERED POSTAGE PLEASE.
Please don’t hesitate to post questions to this thread. I welcome all advice. I also welcome all swappers to post messages and make friends during the swap. SCS is a wonderful extended family and I hope you will take advantage of this swap to get to know new people!

I'd like 2 spots for any occasions. I have a large stash of mustaches . I sell my cards in various places around here like the cultural arts center at glen Allen in the gift shop when I'm an instructor for scrapbooking and paper crafts. The name I put on is mustache Millie. For y youngest daughter Millie j and I'm GaG over the mustache. Can't wait to get a'crafting.
