Good Morning!!

Cold here - we didn't get many snow flurries or snow showers last night. What fell was a dry snow & was blown away. We may get more Friday night.

I would rather have music on ...at least it would be a beautiful 'noise'....
Guess what?? I learned about using the TV for noise from my dad!!
I have turned on radio for noise, usually when I leave the TV on there is something on TV I can glance at. Or I've played a DVD of M.A.S.H. (yes, I have all seasons on DVD!) for noise.

Me too! I can remember watching The Doctors with my mom when it was a 15 minute soap!!! I'm sure that watching with my mom is how I got hooked on Days; all 3 of my daughters watch Days also; sometimes when we are talking on the phone we get around to what's happening on Days and my DH says it sounds like we are talking about family!! And the other show I watched with mom was Another World.
So - the schedule every afternoon was Days of Our Lives, The Doctors, Another World (this was in the 1980s). Only time I watched was in the summer & when I was sick with pheumonia (caught it from a patient). Besides then I haven't been watching soap operas.

GOOD MORNING!

Wow! Lots and lots of lovers of Mo Manning images!!!

Oh, my! Love the chat about the soap operas. Many, many years ago I followed so many soaps and most of them are long gone. I think I started watching from it's inception I believe in the 60s. Also watched As The World Turns, The Doctors, One Life to Live, General Hospital, All My Children, Edge of Night, and something with the word Tomorrow in the title. Some of these in the beginning were only on for 15 minutes! Then they went to a half hour format. I know I've really dated myself.

When I was pregnant with my ds I was stuck in bed for three months, my motherinlaw loves general hospital so that is what I watched. I grew to love Luke but then ds was born and there was no time for tv. That was the last time I watched a soap. I hate shows with storylines that carry on as I never see the sequels and we don't own a pvr, even when we did I never remembered to watch them before the next episode for this reason I am mainly a movie watcher.

And her time zone is Pacific, so right now it is only a little after 9:00 AM where she lives (here in VA it is after 12 noon). She might not be up when we get up...

One chuckle for all of you: we had a soap-opera situation with Bald Eagles in the Botanical Gardens @ Norfolk, VA last summer. The father eagle was trying to find a new mate (his mate had been killed) - it was confirmed that he had 5 female eagles trying to join him. We called the situation "As the Nest Turns" since he was frequently seen with another female eagle...

I only wish!!
He has picked a mate, but where he had his nest for at least several year the local airport said it was dangerous for them (the airport flights). The nest was removed, & every time the eagle comes back & tries to re-build the nest, he is chased away. Poor eagle!!
People are against this treatment of the eagle - it is not an Endangered Species anymore, but it is a Protected Species. The airport should just re-route their flight plans during nesting season (January thru June) but the city is being very obstinate. I watched the eagles via a camera that was up in the Gardens where the nest was, but right now the camera isn't on - and they even are chasing the eagles away with a paintball gun.

That's rude. There are safer ways to move the nest and the birds. I understand the airports point of view but they could handle the situation so much better. Your right poor eagle. Hopefully he takes the hint and finds a better place to nest.

well girls...I now have a much needed new 'do', but decided to trim my hair by only 1/2 inch.....
will do major trimming once weather it's warmer....maybe...lol

I feel I am read for bed and it's barely only 8:00 pm....(but was up and about at around 6:30 am)
plus I had a very fullllll day.
In my head, I have the itch to create a card (haven't done so in days!!)
....but, my plump bum cheeks are now firmly encased in the comfort of my couch....while my wish for a cappuccino is nicely becoming a reality as I hear my hubby grinding fresh coffee beans for such trivial indulgence....LOL....Quite frankly I think my body is totally refusing to move at the moment....lol

Speaking of TV shows still...
Is anyone here following AI?? If so, did U see last night show?? oh my....I am sooo disappointed in one of the judges... I think (imho!) that she is NOT a good choice at all for such show...time will tell....

That IS going from one extreme to another Paola!!
I like animals - from the tiny ones to the large ones. The parrot I had was pretty big - I had an Umbrella Cockatoo.

The picture on this site is one of the Mama Eagle that was killed by a plane. Wasn't she pretty??!!

Sweet P, you should come here for a visit. We get lots and lots of hummingbirds. My DH is constantly filling the feeder. There have been times when the hummingbirds have practically landed on his hands waiting impatiently for him to fill the feeder!

I to am doing for dinner tonight as well. My plans for the weekend include a trip to the states to pick up my Copic order. Hubby bought me an early birthday present.... Then I really have to hunker down and get my French homework done.

back from my program....didn't even hit the gym today....instead, spent all 3 hrs in the clinic area doing all kind of stretches ,trying to get rid of a majior onset of a headache...but failed....
