had 2 virus alerts tonight at work again....but the virus protection took care of them. Thank Goodness!
My Sistah Rosie says she is having the same problem when she comes to SCS...
I don't know but it's pretty weird if you ask me............

I've been driving around with my cards all packaged up and ready to mail since Tuesday and never once, as I passed by the Post Office, did these cards jump out of the car and go mail themselves! Duh. So sorry, Lori. I'm on my way to the PO right now.

Default HAPPY MAIL

Hi Ladies
I received an envelope full of beautiful cards from Montana Thursday afternoon. Stampmontana/Jeri always does such wonderful work and she did it again. Thank you Jeri

I finally got all of the pictures taken............now on to the uploading! yippee Seems like a good thing to do today. Stay in my dark, cool home away from the nasty humid, hot weather outside! Now, if only I could get someone else to entertain the DD.........it would be a great day not to have t hear 'I'm bored' over and over

Hi everybody
Check this out. It is an album full of all the cards I have received to date. You will love them. Please leave a comment or two. Everybody loves to hear how wonderful their work is

Stampin Up! Gallery: Whats Old is New Again - Page 1 - Cards & More - Splitcoaststampers

It is my goal to add a small paragraph below each picture with more detail about the swap and how the cards were created. I wanted to get the pictures uploaded first so you could have a peak.

PLEASE PLEASE if I put the wrong name on a card, let me know so I can change it quickly before anyone elses notices. lol

Thanks again for playing along. I hope you had fun. See you around SCS

I added all the glitter myself. The Christmas cards were done with wide double sided tape (cover the image with the tape, then cover the tape with glitter) and the all occasion cards were done with embossing powder (cover the image with versamark, then cover with "sparkle" embossing powder. The brand I used is by Sparkle n Sprinkle.) I like both looks but of course the EP is less messy.

There are two more ladies cards that are in transit. Hopefully they will be here by the weekend. I will swap on Sunday.
I hope each of you understand and can appreciate why I am waiting. There are not that many participants in this swap and we need all the cards we can get! If you dont want to wait, please let me know and I will pick out cards for you right away and pop them in the mail. Thanks again ladies. You are all awesome!

Thanks, Lori! I'm glad you liked them. I don't mind waiting for the return cards, especially since I was late myself. I know they will get here eventually.

I guess this must be the norm for swaps. I am new to them and have made myself get my stuff in by due dates but so far I haven't participated in one where it has been on time. So I'm just figuring its the norm. Good intentions and all that.
I'm headed out of town so it will be a good surprise when I get home.

Just checking in. I'm trying to get myself organized with my few swaps that I have left for this year. So I wanted to see how things are going here. As long as I know you have my cards, I'm in no hurry to get the returns....I know they will be coming.

YEP, your cards arrived late yesterday afternoon. I'm amazed at how quickly they got here! There are cards in the mail from the US that are taking longer. Its crazy. Your cards are awesome. I will take pictures tonight and post them by the end of Sunday. I am still planning to swap everybody out in the next couple of days.

Hey Margaret,
Really? SCS looks poorly on swaps that are not done on time. There is a rule written somewhere that SCS abides by. The three strikes law. If the hostess reports that your cards are late and it happens a few times you can get kicked off of SCS -- for good. I believe you receive a few warnings first though. Also, I think the hostess has to have the cards swapped out in 10 days or two weeks or they can be reported by the participants too. Gotta find the rules page and read up so I can be sure of what I am talking about Does anyone have a link to the rules?
Please be careful getting your cards out. You never know who is going to report you and who wont and your cards are too pretty not to be shared!
Are you going on vacation? I hope you have some relaxed fun.

Lori,I am ALWAYS amazed how quickly my cards gets to the USA from Canada...yet it is NOT the same to receive them from the USA! This always puzzles me...I am glad U like the cards..I have them posted in my blog, currently. THe sunflower one has a special spot in my heart as I recycled the card my mom gave my Dad for his BDay last April ♥ (my dad lives in an Alzheimer Centre...)

WOW! I didn`t realize there are such strict rules...(altough I am aware of swapping within 10 days of cards received)
I truly believe it is all up to the hostess heart...I always like to give people a chance...although a couple times I waited and waited on someone (new to my swaps) that at the end turns out she never mailed them due to forgetfulness...mmmmmmmm....I am NOT allowing a couple people in my swaps anymore...lessons learned. On the other hand, as a partecipant, I always found great hostesses (such as yourself) that do understand that, at times,LIFE has away to take over things...and I rather be a couple days late then cancelling my partecipation to the swap...although -at times- that too was necessary...It all depends on circumstances and the good heart of the hostesses...♥

PS I also partecipated in three swaps where I NEVER received my cards back!!!! In fact in one of those swaps the hostess got upset at ME for wanting to find out as to what was goin on!!! She even told me she sent me a SECOND set...,mmmm....can yiou imagine TWO sets of cards NOT arriving to same destination from same person...yeah...righT!! (NOT!!) It really takes ALL kind doesn`t it!!!! )

Lori,
You have always done a terrific job with your swaps.

I don't think I have ever been in a swap where hostess did not mail within 10 days.

I definitely think that the hostess and the swappers should read the SCS rules before they become involved in swaps.

I had a few swaps earlier this year that were the worst I had ever had for people not checking in and then dropping out at the last minute. Most of these people were new swappers and I think they got over-commtted. (I noticed that they dropped out of several swaps due around the same time).

I try to be understanding about the things that can pop up in daily life throwing all our plans out the window!! Card swapping is not a matter of life or death, but I think common courtesy is to check in on the swap and notify hostess as soon as possible if we have to drop.

Lori

I'm just checking in with everyone. I'm not concerned that these are taking a while. I know you will send these back to us as soon as you hear from the late folks (I've been late myself sometimes).

You do a great job as a swap hostess and I understand how generous and patient you are. You do a great job of keeping us informed about the progress of the swap.

Thanks for being our "hostess with the mostest!"

Lori, Thanks for taking the time to post all our cards. It's so much fun to see what everyone created.

I brought my cards to show off at the last meeting of the stamp club I belong to. They liked your idea so much that we are going to do a recycle card for the card that we trade next month. I think you might have started a trend, Lori!

Hi Ladies

Do any of you use these tins? I believe I got them from Stampin Up. They are about 5" metal squares. If you want a couple, just reply. First come; first serve. I will include them in your return envelopes. Heres a picture:
