We like to do "country drives". Usually we'll pick a small town as a destination and see what happens.. sometimes we find somewhere along the way that catches our interest and turns into our trip. We usually will have lunch at the local busy restaurant and wander around a bit on foot It's amazing what's around you when you get out exploring!! And it's a nice break from house chores, lol No hubby needed! Head out on your own or grab a gf. I like taking different roads while I'm out doing errands too...find new stuff and some good cut thru to avoid traffic sometimes...lol
You are right! I don't need to have a hubby to have a great day! I just got a new camera (Cannon Ti3) and I could take a few day trips around the area to practice taking pictures! It only takes about 1 1/2 hours to get to the Oregon coast and maybe 2 hours to get to the snowy mountains. Wow! I should have thought of this myself. As long as it's not raining, this would be a lot of fun...and walking around is good for my health.
Cards boxed up and ready for PO in am. Please let me know when they arrive :P
Had fun making them...except for the DUHH! Glitter moment! lol
Wow, Wow, and WOW!!! Your beautiful cards arrived. each stack neaty tied with bakers twine and a bow... Beautiful! And thank you for the hostess gift, it's beautiful and will be much loved - Breast Cancer Awareness travel mug
More Pictures coming as soon as they get delivered to my email address from my cellphone

I have seen all of these in person and they are truely amazing!
You've been photographing and posting pictures! Great job and thanks so much. I'm REALLY enjoying seeing everyone's creations.
I agree 100%! Heather you are doing a SUPER job for your first hosting experience! And everyone of the ladies are so talented! The soldier's are going to be thrilled to receive their goodies!
I love taking pics!! It's been so long since I actually used my camera...iphone is so convenient for "snap shots" but the creative ability and quality is not there for sure! My camera that I do have is a shame too! lol Outdated for sure...lol kinda like the user..lol
So, YES...get out there and get to snap'n! Sounds like you've got some great ideas for some trips. Let us know how that camera is...Maybe I should put a new camera on my birthday wish list lol Oh boy...you may be getting me in trouble!!

Hi Heather,
I have surgery scheduled on my hand (carpal tunnel) for Friday, so I should have the cards done before then. My DH will be mailing all of my swaps over the next week or so, so you'll have it in plenty of time.
Thought I would check in. I've not been feeling very well for several days now. Right now I have a BIG, BAD headache. Hope everyone has a great Tuesday!

THIS FRIDAY????
Oh dear. I will be thinking GOOD thoughts for you during surgery and then afterwards for a successfully speedy recovery (so you can get back to making cards & crafts)!
Feeling much better today. Got lots of sleep (once I finally got to sleep) last night. Early to bed tonight!
I upgraded my internet speed and today I received my new modem. I went from 1.5 to 7.0 (whatever the measurement is)! Actually, I'm not noticing much difference yet. Maybe it will show up when I start to play some YouTube videos. The really cool part is that I now have wireless internet! Now all I need to do is replace the battery in my laptop so I can surf the web from the comfort of favorite living room chair or the bed.
Yea! All of my cards have been hand delivered! Here's a peek at what they all looked like.
Huggles,

I especially like the first two because of their very bright and cheerful colors! I'm sure the troops will love to send those to a child (or a young at heart adult)!

JCI. I have two more cards to make and I'll have everything done for the swap. I have a bunch of packages to mail since I'm trying to finish everything before my carpal tunnel surgery Friday, so my DH will be mailing a couple of packages on each payday so I don't break the bank! Bu you'll have them in plenty of time for the due date.

Sorry,
I just went back to read other posts and realize a sent you almost the exact same post yesterday or the day before. My brain is fried trying to get everything done before Friday.
I think I better stop posting and go to bed, it's already after 4 am.

I would like to ask a favor for one of our own SCS Crafty Sister's. ktfabian2 (Tracy) is having surgery for Carpel Tunnel this coming Friday (February 1st). She is very generous helping to fill Wish RAK's and actively participates in many swaps here on the site. I think it would be a nice jester if we show our support to her and send her a shower of Get Well wishes & cards.
I believe that her mailing addy is on the Master RAK List or you may PM me for the addy.
Yeah, I upgraded my internet speed and now I can't tell much difference yet.
I watched a YouTube video last night and it still got "stuck" a couple of times. Thought a faster speed would take care of that.

I think this is a great idea. I already have her address from a swap she hostessed (is that a real word????). I'll send a card as soon as I make it!
How's everyone doing tonight?
Today was a beautiful, sunny day (temp about 58 degrees). I may do some work out in the yard tomorrow - it's supposed to be just a wonderful.
