Please keep my nephew in your prayers. He's having a little surgery tomorrow. He has a little issue with his "plumbing" that needs to be corrected now, so it doesn't cause him more problems when he is older. It's a short surgery, about 15 mins, but when you are two and going through being knocked out and stuff, its a little scary.
I'm up but not happy about it. Woke up coughing about an hour ago...darn allergies! Couldn't go back to sleep so decided not to fight it.
I'm certainly not surprised to see Gael in the forest for this swap.
Linda, so sorry about the vehicle troubles. I can so relate! We had to spend two unplanned days in Salem, OR on our way home from WA last week. Radiator replaced and still we were having problems with overheating on the way home. Ugh!
Melina, I like your thoughts about the music we can hear in the forest.
Hi Roxane!
Hi April, you early bird!
Good morning, Michelle!
Hi Lynn! Love those quotes you share with us!!

Linda, I'll be praying for your nephew. I think I know the surgery you're referring to. My oldest DS had to have that when he was a little boy.

Thanks for the prayers. His mommy is braver than me, she's taking him herself since my brother just started a new job a month ago. I feel so bad for her. Last week she miscarried Thursday night (5 weeks, but heartbreaking just the same). She had to go to work I'm Friday because there was a baby shower planned for her coworker/friend and she planned the party and had the gift, her brother/wife are having their baby today and tomorrow she has to deal with the hospital with her son. That's a lot to cope with all at once.
Forest Ranger,
I just have to say, I love when you include the Forrest Gump saying at the end of your swap info... My husband's name is Forrestt and it always reminds me of him. That move came out when he was in high school, so he absolutely hates it, but I like it... I always tell him "Run, Forrestt, run!!!

Linda, I'll be saying prayers for your SIL too. She sure has a lot to deal with. I have a lot of empathy for her. I miscarried a baby in my 6th month and then went to visit a cousin who had a baby on my due date in the same hospital I would have been in. A merciful God does carry us through these trials.

I had some similar experiences myself. At least I could tell her "I know what you're going through" and she knows I really mean it since it happened to me too. Sadly, its a blessing at 5 weeks and I know it. I lost one at 7 weeks, 13 weeks and of couae my 24 week Angel.
Morning...I need caffeine!! JANET!!! anyway here is your inspiration for the day
Those who believe they can do something
and those who believe they can't
are both right.

Whatever you do, you need courage.
Whatever course you decide upon,
there is always someone to tell you
that you are wrong.
There are always difficulties arising
that tempt you to believe your critics are right.

I know many of you have iPhones and also use Copic Markers--I just found a thread in the general forum about a hubby who created a Copic App for his wife to keep track of which ones she has.
I just learned I have to squeeze a Santa shopping trip in between quilt class and working today. Barbie stuff is 50% off and my dd9 has felt so deprived because she never had a Barbie house. Hoping she'll be happy with the cheaper model because the fancy Barbie dream house is still $100. I've been trying to find a "used" one for her, but that plan hasn't come through yet, so I might just need to buy one. There goes my extra "work" money today.

Good Morning Forest Friends!
Yikes!!! I've missed nearly 24 hours here! UGH!!! First I went to the church to do the bulletin, then a quick run to the store to get supplies. Then I was cooking... and cooking... and cooking. I did not leave the kitchen (other than bathroom breaks and a wee bit of time for the afternoon commute) from before 11:00 AM and after dinner last night. I was a worn-out puppy!!! Cooking for three families was a bigger deal than I thought. (I don't know how women do that cooking for a month all on one day. It would kill me. LOL!)
Then after all that, I tried to get on the computer - no internet. UGH! Then the internet was back... I responded to some important emails (about my upcoming speaking gigs, etc.) and made it to SCS to try to catch up... posted one comment and then my internet went down again. UGH! Sooooo I got off the computer and studied for the rest of the evening before I crashed into bed.
Now... a few comments here (though I won't try to comment to everyone.)
Welcome, Heather!!! ♪♪♪
Welcome, sue_ZZZ!!! ♪♪♪ (Is your name Sue?) Sounds to me like my information must be confusing. LOL! Now I'm even confused. Sorry! The forest cards need to be Music related - they can also be forest related, but don't necessarily have to be. The forest is this community (this thread) of swappers - chatting, hanging out, being forest friends. The cards can incorporate music and forest through singing birds, chirping crickets, or some of those cute images of critters with musical instruments. OR you can simply go with a music theme. The same is true of the Card Candy. Does that make more sense???
Welcome, MrsWayne!!! ♪♪♪ Can you please tell us your name? We'd love to be able to be friendly and call you by name when we see you!
Linda, your nephew - and his brave BRAVE mama are in my prayers today! I hurt for her... she's been through so much lately.
Michelle, YAY for a space in the basement!
Lynn, I love the inspiration... and Janet, the coffee you served up for Lynn is perfect!
Heather, I loved hearing about your own personal Forrest! How cool! (I've never known anyone named Forrest.)
Okay, I will stop commenting... not ignoring any of you... just can't seem to get my head wrapped around all this.
I guess I'm sweating/fretting about Monday's conference - since I still don't have the materials I need to teach it. EEK!!! (Have I told you that whole story???)

Good Morning and Welcome to the pre-weekend Friday!
I have a couple of people coming to the house to complete our window project--yes, that has been going on for a few months! The patio door that came had some damaged wood by the lock and it was replaced two weeks ago. Casey is coming today to stain the new one and then we are done. We also ordered new blinds as the old ones no longer fit, but we did move those to the window/door in the basaement where we removed old vertical blinds two years ago. The guy putting in the blinds should be here anytime.
Then, tonight we are heading to Illinois again to watch my great-nephew play football and then we are staying overnight to watch his sister play in a volleyball tournament tomorrow.
Hello all! I have today off and then have to work tomorrow.
I had Stamp Club yesterday. We made 4 cards. One had 2 pumpkins cut out using the large oval punch and then run through the Big Shot using embossing folders. It was really cute! Another one was made using the Ornaments Keepsakes Bundle. It is such a cute card! Now I had decided a couple of days ago that I was not going to buy the bundle because I have so much Christmas stuff - lots of stamps sets and also 2 Cricut cartidges. Well after making that card, I couldn't help myself! I had to buy the bundle! I know I will love it though.
