Is the postal strike over? Will you be able to get mail out of Canada? (That just sounds so sneaky.) I know our post office is not accepting any packages/mail to Canada as of a few days ago.
The strike is not expected to last much longer...for the odd swap, I can use other methods to send mail. We have a discounted rate with other mail/courier services through work, so I would just do that if required.

Welcome Alison,
Glad to hear you joined the group. Here in the states, the options outside of USPS are UPS and FedEx - both of which are very pricey. hoping the strike ends soon. I'm in a number of other monthly swaps and have Canadian mail starting to stack up in my basket waiting to be accepted by the USPS.

My July cards have been done for quite some time - I just haven't gotten to the post office yet. Hope to get there tomorrow or Wednesday. I do have my August cards done, too, but will hang on to them for a bit yet.
I just mailed my cards yesterday. We're on vacation this week and time just got away from me. If I'm too late for this month's swap, can I use them for next month? I apologize for the delay.

very happy Sunday to all of you. Having a church picnic tonight. It was supposed to be at this big park we have, but because of the heat we are having it in the church's gym. The little kids are disappointed because they can't play on the playground equipment.
