How long have you been doing this? I've been scrapbooking for about 30 years and card making/stamping since about 2005. I also found SCS the same year I started card-making and jumped right in and have made some of the best friends of my life!!!!
Do you have any other hobbies? Does eating count???? LOLOL!!! I love to read--it has always been my first love--so to incorporate my love of reading and love of crafting, I subscribe and read every paper crafting magazine I can get my hands on!!! I also love to cook crochet, plan and throw parties, and play the piano.
Tell us a bit about your family & friends. I have the most wonderful family in the world which most of you have heard about ad nauseum!!! I have the best DH in the world (most of the time LOL!). We've been married almost 28 years--married at 18 and never looked back. We have to WONDERFUL children-DS-age 25 who works in the IT securities administration office at the University of Georgia and is finishing up his degree. My beautiful DD-age 23-just graduated from college in May, and got married in October to a wonderful man whom she has known most of her life. They now live and work in Nashville and I miss them terribly. She works at the Nashville Zoo in the admin. offices as the Membership cooridinator and gets to plan and attend fundraisers and hobnob with all the country music stars!! I'm so jealous!!! Of course, she doesn't really care for country music, but she sends me pics!!!!
Fvorite tools of the trade? Oh, this is a hard one!! I can't live without ribbon-that's a must. I also LOVE my Bigshot!! I put off getting one, but now I don't know how I lived without it--just need more nesties, and dies, and embossing plates, etc!!! LOL! Oh, and I love EP in all colors and TONS of bling and flowers and hat pins--and stamps of course!!!
Something we might not know? Hmm, this is a hard one too as I tend to tell everyone everything!!! LOL!
Ok, here goes, I'm starting back to college in January. I have a Master's degree in teaching and did that for over ten years, but want to do something different. So I'm starting a new career as a Cardiovascular Technologist--if I can pass all the classes!!! LOL! I want to do the Echocardiograms--that kind of thing. Don't think I can do the invasive stuff. Also I secretly desire to be a country music star. Yes, I can sing, but not as well as I could when I was younger, but in my next life I want to be a country music star!!!!
Tell us about your favorite swapping experience. Oh this is easy. My favorite swapping experience is the experience itself. I LOVE chatting and getting to know people in the swaps-whether I'm hosting or just swapping. I am always sad when a swap ends because I lose a connection to some people---but usually I can find them again on another swap. That's what I love about swapping-I can keep up with friends, help them when they need encouragement, rejoice with them when they have a celebration. I'm so glad I found SCS and have been able to make so many wonderful friends through swapping!!!
Anything else that you would like to share? SCS is a special place for me. Without the ladies here, I could never have made it through all my trials over the last year. SCS is magical and so are all my wonderful friends!!!!
