Hi Ladies, boy am I getting some beautiful cards in the mail. Today I received packages from: Barbaralynn, Carace, Meloleary and Stamps4funGin. Thanks ladies for getting these in on time. I am waiting on 6 packages and if they come in before Friday, I will begin swapping them out. Have a great day.
I received another package today. TJDickerson's. Thanks for the beautiful artwork. I am still waiting on two packages. If I have not heard from them or received them by Thursday I will start swapping so I can put them in the mail on Friday. Thanks ladies.
Ok Ladies, I have good news. I made the Postmaster crazy today. ALL of the package are on their way home. I had two people who never sent in their cards, but all others have been swapped out, packaged up and mailed. My daughter picked three of the original envelopes that the cards were mailed in and if yours is one of the three you will find a little prize in your envie when it gets home to you. Thank you ladies so much for joining in on my first time hosting a swap. I apologize for the delay in mailing them back, but it really isn't that bad. They were due Sept. 1 and today is the 7th, so I guess that isn't too awful bad. Start stalking the mail man in a couple of days.
Emily - thanks for hosting and I don't know how all the host do it when swapping back out. There were 22 spots, less the 2, so that means you had to handle 120 cards to swap back out as compared to each swapper sending in only 6 per spot. That's a lot of sorting, packaging and mailing back out. GREAT JOB!
Will be looking forward to the next swap you host.
Thank you ladies for all the encouraging words. It was an experience to say the least being a hostess. But, I have to say, I learned a valuable lesson...NEVER BE LATE WITH A SWAP..it's so frustrating not only to the hostess, but for those waiting for return packages. I will never be late again..hehe
Mine arrived today, and they are just beautiful, each and every one. I am especially glad to see that none of them is overtly religious; I've participated in sympathy card swaps before where the cards I received were very Christian and would not have been appropriate for me to use. Thanks to everyone for the artwork, and thanks to Emily for such a good job hosting and for the little prize!
